SS is very poor for PvP, Smashing DMG is resisted by everyone and their grandmother. Unfortunatly for everyone EM, Dark, Fire or ELM Infact every other primary has advantages over SS. The only gems of SS are Rage and KO Blow. Both are not well thought of in PvP as Rage has an annoying crash that can spell certain doom and KO Blow is long in activation. Stone melee has the same type of DMG but has higher values so is better for burst DMG (exactly what you want in PvP (this is a real shame because nothing makes you feel more like a brute than a punch, haymaker, KO blow combo.)
well i can kill alot in pvp, and if people struggle maybe find a team? but my brute is made mainly for pvp and cuz i just love ss on a brute
Well i have to say i have no problems PvP'ing with my SS brute ( SS/Invun btw ) full fury + Rage + KO Blow is gonna hurt anyone. however as stated it is one of the most/ if not the most resisted type of dmg in the game.
But if you like it and it works for you, do it!

EM/Fire Build Up + Fiery Embrace + Energy Transfer + Total Forcus is just plain nasty 
Add full fury to that and you 2 shot acrappers

SS is the 2nd best brute primary imo and the best balance between PvE & PvE Rage is awesome allowing you to kill bubblers, stormies, rads, & SRs. The prolonged damaged buff of Rage also stacks well with Fury meaning you know you will do more damage the longer you are in the fit rather than waiting for BU to recharge. Smashing is highly resisted 40+ not in sirens and warburg though. Hardly any PvP happens at lvl 50 on live anyway . . .

Seismic Smash to hold those squishies through arco, and nice Endurance Drain powers to suck those nasty Regens out in duel 
And of course Aid Self with it's very nice 10 second recharge is incredibly helpful, combined with Tough makes you very hard to kill
And Power Surge, who doesn't want to look like a Gremlin and kill stuff while being basically invincible?
I have a level 50 SS/Elec and love to PvP with him.
Yes, smashing damage is resisted by almost everyone, but the 80% bonus from Rage will help you. Rage also grants good acc bonus and, unlike BU, can be Perma.
After getting some HOs, Hasten and LR, I'm able to stack Holds from KO Blow. And, if I manage to drain my opponent's End, one KO Blow and he is held.
And Power Surge is awesome!!!
What's the best brute combo for pvp in your opinion? please also state advantages and disadvantages, mine has to be ss/elec, although no self heal but easily sorted with the medicine pool.
