its been done before and is currently being used 
I take fly and tp on ALL my stalkers. It gives you some different options while taking some others away. eg. tp'ing next to a stationary target makes it hard for them to see you coming. However, Tping ontop of a moving target takes a little luck.

Instead of invisibilty, get TP. So that way if your attacked or somehting, you can tp away, and they don't know whihc direction. I persoanlly have fly as my travel power, but having both could be rad. with fly too, i could get some cool mid air battles, like, battling in the sky, tp behind them, use range attack, poss immob too, tp back and kill... or something

Fly/TP combo is good as said above, but do be aware that catching mvoing targets with tp is a real nightmare, also mid air battles using tp will get very confusing for you as you have no control on the distance tp'd except the straight maximum range...
But then trying different stalking techniques is always good.. Personally SS with Hurdle/CJ is my stalking point of choice.. no vertical.. but hey I'll chase anything on the floor
