  1. About the club hair: There's actually a good bit of variety in the new Skulls models, so it's not like every other mob you see will have that hairstyle.
  2. Have they explained how they're going to work that huge Sentai battle into the Power Rangers mythos? How multiple Ranger teams comprised of the same people can exist at the same time? Hell, isn't Tommy like 12 of them all on his own?
  3. So, the event doesn't hit Justice until Friday night. As such, I haven't actually experienced it. But maybe - hear me out on this - Capt. Mako week wasn't meant to be some big, fancy event like the Spring Fling or the Halloween event. Maybe it was just meant to be something to fill a little time during Shark Week because, hey, we've got a sharkman in our game. Kinda like that Nemesis invasion we had a while back, only with obviously less resources devoted to it due to I24 taking up a lot of development time.

    *shrug*
  4. Hey VIPs:

While Ultimus is busy gushing over what's on the VIP Beta server and showing bits of info, I'm here to say that it'd be great if you all patched your NCLaunchers and helped out with testing. The patch notes are up, and there's A LOT of stuff in this Issue; I'm sure the devs would appreciate as much constructive feedback as they can get.

Yeah, it'd be weird for Marauder to instantly jump from Praetor to trainer of Primal heroes. Especially with Back Alley Brawler twiddling his thumbs inside the Atlas Park PPD station.

Not saying it's impossible ... just not the most sensible thing.

No big expansions coming in the immediate future, no business model changes to announce, and the Paragon staff is currently split between getting I24 ready for beta and working on their unannounced 2nd project.

Actually, during the Valentine's event, he was inside a Vanguard Heavy. It's safe to assume he can jump between robotic bodies as necessary.

Of course, whether that's Metronome or not remains to be seen ...

  8. What is this I don't even ...
  9. Just for clarification: Each Titan Weapons attack (barring Follow Through and Whirling Smash) has two different animations: one for "no momentum" and one for "momentum". When you activate an attack, the game checks to see whether or not you have momentum and calls up the appropriate animation.

Apply it to the conversation as you wish; I'm outta here.

As an aside, I wonder just how many people are going to take the "Fix Everything" meme too far and be really disappointed when I24 does not, in fact, fix everything.

Aurora and Pendragon are both allies of Primal Earth, and Marauder was soundly defeated during the attack on the Lambda facility. So I'm guessing no.

Also, there's the whole thing where we've been told that there are no new Incarnate powers or trials in I24

Your theory, while certainly interesting, is pretty inaccurate.

  13. OMD did screw things up. But without it, we wouldn't have gotten the great Spider Island event (which actually got me back on the Spidey bandwagon).

You do realize that having just released Water Blast not that long ago, that the odds are rather low that they'll be releasing either Bio Armor or Nature Affinity in the immediate future, right? And that the odds of both sets being released at the same time is even lower than that?

Patience, young padawan. There's a release schedule in place; we'll get new shinies when the production and marketing teams have agreed that they should be given to us.
  15. So this means we'll eventually get 24-hour marathons consisting of the extended cuts of the Hobbit trilogy and the LotR trilogy played back-to-back?
  16. Yeah, I'm not really feeling Weller's performance in this one; his voice is just too monotone for Batman. It's a shame, too, because this otherwise looks to be an interesting adaptation. Hopefully, the whole film will make me change my opinion.

EDIT: Oh, and I really hope they didn't cut "Okay boy, show me" from the mudhole fight. It's such a great, simple line that just works.

That said: power pool, ancillary pool, and patron pool customization have been confirmed for the next major update, Issue 24.

That's pretty much the big thing keeping us from exploring far-off places and times. The expenditure of time and manpower used in the creation of new tilesets and environmental objects need to be justified, usually in the form of re-usability.
  19. Bases have been declared a legacy system. They'll be maintained and MIGHT get some small additions every now and then should the odds of horribly breaking the code in doing so be small enough. But you should probably give up on expecting any major sort of changes or additions to the system.

  21. So, it was an advertisement for an MMO mouse made by a company looking to have brand synergy with NCSoft and Paragon Studios. Big deal. We were told last week that this week's show would be with the Logitech rep talking about the mouse. He answered our questions, actually discussed the features and specs, and put up with our usual nonsense. I sincerely hope you folks don't get this bent out of shape once the coffee talks have to split time between CoH and Paragon's new project.

And for what it's worth, the mouse itself looks like it'll be pretty damn useful for MMO players and gamers in general. If I don't luck out and win one, I'll probably end up buying one anyways as my current gaming mouse is slowly crapping out on me.
  22. Speaking of long-standing character art issues: I've never understood why there are no bare-skin versions of the various chain and barbed wire wrapped glove options. I mean, there are bare-skin options for the chains and barbed wire wrapped around a character's eyes, while the upper-arm and around-the-neck chains and barbed wire pieces are only bare skin.

They didn't make it out of CoV beta.

With the release of COV apparently there used to be a shoulder option for Male and Huge that gave you a big fur ruff around the shoulders and the back of the neck, very much like Kraven the Hunter. I sadly don't have pictures of it, but by all accounts it was removed silently, never spoken of again and no explanation was ever given seeing as it didn't clip with anything we had at the time. I'd very much like to see this option return as there are several bestial options now and I have a few costumes that could very much benefit from it. It would work well with barbarian outfits, monsters/mutants/animal pack pieces/yetis/really hairy guys/etc. The female model has the bolero fur, even if it is restricted to use on jackets, but this was usable on tights/skin and other types making it very versatile, and it also added some bulk to the character making it a very striking piece. It would be very nice if men could have this piece back so we can make furry/hairy/whatever characters.

I sadly don't have any screen shots of it, but I'd be very surprised if it isn't still floating around in costume creator limbo somewhere. Even if it isn't, is it possible we could have a new/scruffier version of it? I'd even settle for it as a back detail that just sits on the shoulders, or possibly even an alternate version with an animal skin cape similar to Shadowhunter. It'd be a one-off piece really, but we've received several of those recently and they're not a bad thing, they sometimes provide just the perfect piece that was missing for some people. I'd very much appreciate it, and my wild-boy beast tamer would very much appreciate the extra warmth with the coming winter months.
The pieces you're referring to were called either Beast Fur or Monstrous Fur. There were a couple of variations for the shoulder pieces, as well as an accompanying chest item.

I've only been able to Google up some pics that players have posted in other threads pertaining to lost costume bits:
