Re the original post. It's not really surprising... Afterall.. The GM staff went from 17 people, down to 7... They just don't have the resources to investigate.
[/ QUOTE ]
So what exactly are they here for then?
They had the resources to sit monitoring arena chat and pulling someone up for making a joke the other afternoon.
[/ QUOTE ]
A GM actually wrote something in a chat channel? Pics, or it didn't happen

having competition pushes us to look at our own game and see how we can improve City of Heroes and stay competitive. You're going to see a lot more features that we thought we'd never be able implement over the next year or so.'

O.k besides the stuff we alrdy know of i13/i14 what else couldnt they/we do now compared to like 2 yrs bk? (i know 2 yrs is a big gap technology wise)..does make u wonder

Your 'sources'?
Do tell.
[/ QUOTE ]
If I revealed my sources then they'd be your sources, maybe our sources, but they're not, the clue is in the name, 'my sources'.

Your disgruntled SG friends then?

Woah, you got it in one Columbo. You're good!

They don't call him Shervox Holmes for nothing
Well, actually, I don't think they do call him Shervox Holmes - not generally, anyway - but if they did call him that, then it sure wouldn't be for nothing. -
They could give you something else at 14 then if that level is so important.
Selecting what style you want to travel in when you create you avatar is much more sensible, and user-friendly - select your origin, outfit, name, signature power pools, and travel method, then enter the game and develop your abilities.
For the same reason, I'd like a basic cape to be available from level 1 too, but with no markings or patterns or other styles - they'd be unlocked at 20. -
I'm not so sure that frustration is such a good selling point for an entertainment product.

I would have never expected to see a travel power appearing that can replace normal travel powers. Yet we have the flight pack and soon the even more handy tp to mission.

[/ QUOTE ]
No. Simply no.
For all the wrong reasons. This is the last thing I want to see happening.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think it'd be more useful - you'd get access to the travel pools at 1, then the second pick at 6 - it'b be like you get it once you graduate from the starting zone. -

Castle (I think it was him) has actually said he'd love to get mini-games like capture the flag and king of the hill in to PvP. I think PvP NEEDS something like that, tbh.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, RV is going in the right direction, but I think they end to make the pillboxes there shielded, so that they can only be attacked when the shields are deactivated.
To deactivate them, you'd need a red code and a blue code - Hero players get given a blue code when they enter the zone, and Villains get a red one - so to have both, you'd need to defeat an enemy player to get their half.
I know you'd still be able to farm the boxes, but it'd at least mean that you'd have to PvP to get access to them. -
Perhaps this would be a good day for all those evil type to think about mending their ways

Yes - especially if it's enhancing and upgrading our avatars

some kind of ability to check recently earned badges would be nice too
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, they sort of have a tool like that already - the salvage rack logs can keep track of times added or withdrawn, so it might be able to be adapted to show time and date for each badge. -

In the second mission, the crafting mission, I delved deeper into our dialog tree system

This can only lead to good things

Can this still be done? I thought the devs made the ships undefeatable after we smashed them up during the test event?

I preferred the old layout, mainly because now everything is so big I would say it looks like (if I were a cynic) it has been designed for navigation by either a): young children or b): The sight-impaired....
