    Gratz.
Actually, cold hard cash gets you into the GR beta - either long term subs, or prepurchasing it

Yes - it was at Hero Con 2009 in October last year that they said ultra mode would be possibly a separate update if they could get it done in time.

  5. Things GR is required for:

    Access to Praetoria
    Switching sides
    Four new power sets
    The Incarnate system

Which means that if you don't own GR, I19 is gonna seem really content light
  6. This might help clear up some confusion about what was said and when:

May 11th 2009 - E-mails announcing Going Rogue are sent out to players, mentioning only the GR system and Praetoria - no mention is made at all of ultra mode or endgame content.

May 12th 2009 - NCSoft puts out a press release about GR - more info on Praetoria is given, along with details about Desdemona and Maelstrom.
Still not a single word about graphics or endgame content.

June 19th 2009 - Positron confirms that I16 will not be GR.

July 13th 2009 - Positron announces Duel Pistols and Demon Summoning will be in GR.
Still no word on any endgame content.

October 24th 2009 - Massive new amounts of info on GR announced at Hero Con - lots of Praetorian info, and a first look at ultra mode.
Ultra mode is announced as part of GR, with no new Issue planned until the release of GR, but the devs also say that if the graphics are ready first, they might be able to make them into a separate pre-GR Issue.
Still no word on any endgame content.

February 18th 2010 - Issue 17 is announed. Ultra mode will now be a separate feature from GR.

March 2nd 2010 - The GR prepurchase program goes live.

March 27th 2010 - At PAX East, I19 is announced, with an outline of the new endgame system.

The two stand out things here are first, ultra mode was already announced as part of I17 before the prepurchase program began, and, second, endgame content has never been promised, or even talked about, as a part of GR.

Both sides are not shown at their best in that conflict - but while Dietrich is a bit of a pain, Longbow are still more heroic than Vanguard, who are very much in Vigilante territory

That arc does have an awesome bit of humor in it though

I'm pretty sure he means that the 18 days is the time it takes to use the mission drop feature on all the missions, not that it takes 18 days of actual playing to do the arc.

What you need to do is /broadcast that you're only there for badges, and that you don't want to fight, and also please don't TP you into mobs, especially not Blue Ink Men as they're so hard to escape from.
Within a couple of minutes you'll have someone who'll make it their mission to find mobs of Blue Ink Men and TP you into them. Defeat a few of them, then let yourself be defeated by the rest, go to hospital, leave the safe area, and and complain loudly in /broadcast that the TPer is horrible and cheating and why can't they leave you alone - you'll get the Blue Ink Man Badge and some debt badge credit in no time.

I mean I think that normal enhancements would need to be replaced, but IOs would be able to work with the Incarnate stuff.

Not sure - maybe there'd be Incarnate enhancmeents to unlock to replace them?
  14. I filled it in - including the explainations for my answers
  15. I just checked - there are over 100 visible Heroes now.

If THAT is the kind of zone events they mean, then no, they're nothing like WoW raids and more akin to the public quests of WAR, they're short, sweet and to the point, fun for all the family as it were.
While the a Winer Lord style one could be made into a 50s only thing by putting a level entry on the clickable entrance object, I don't know how they could make a banner style event be for 50s only - the new events are only in Praetoria, so there'd be lots of under 50s there too.
  17. I don't think it'll be all raid level stuff - but I do think that the new tech of the Winter Lord mission might be related in some way to what they're working on.

Well, things like the Mo badges and the Task force Commander accolade power might be kinda tricky to get solo

    Some Players: We hate marketing!
*Marketing person makes a forum acocunt*
Marketing Person: Hi, I'm a marketing perosn.
    Some Players: We hate you!

    How does that help anything?
  21. I don't RP, but I think Virtue server is still the main RP sever - although there'll be RP on all the others too for sure.

There's also a RP section here on the forums, so you might like to take a look there and see the sort of ways RPers use the game.
  22. A bad path to go down

    Incarnates are a safer subject
  23. Well, it wasn't really going to go anywhere, was it?

We can talk about Incarnates instead
