I think it's also interesting the way he mentioned "the Anti-matter Clockwork lived in this wooded area which they cleared out" - which seems to have eventually become the normal Clockwork depot in Nova Praetoria - as well as him saying that "the Anti-matter Clockwork were ruled by these nasty warrior versions of themselves" - which sounds a bit different from the final version of the War Walkers, which don't really seem to have any sort of command status over the other Clockwork.
That, along with him being asked to spin the designs off the ones in "I, Robot", makes me wonder if there was a robot rebellion angle to Praetoria that was eventually cut out - with Praetoria being a sort of techno-Rome, the idea of a slave uprising would have worked quite well, I think. -
Depending on your level, you'll get between 2 and 5 side missions on each Safeguard - you need to defeat the "key" mobs to unlock them.
-
-
Side missions will always spawn no matter how many are on the team, so if you're not getting any when you're solo then that's must be a bug.

I like the bottom right one the best - it dosn't look too steampunk-ish, so it could be used for normal outfits too

Quote:Those were just cut from GR - kinda like the Alpha slot was cut - so just because they dropped stuff they didn't have time to finish before GR had to be released, that doesn't have to mean that we'll never see itSo, no space station, no steam punks, and not even hover cars?
If we didn't already have jet packs, I'd be very disappointed in this future.

She was the first version of Desdemona - they actually showed the stages of her development at Hero Con, along with Maelstrom's development, which is on that blog.

Seeing them working on designing the space station makes me think that the next AT they add will be some kind of spy AT, as that was the one mentioned in that survey, and it seems that they've planned or added just about everything in it now.
EDIT: Here's the lsit of things mentioned back in August 2008 for a planned expansion:
Quote:1.) New high level Space Station Zones (PVE, PVP, & Co-op)
2.) Characters that do not wish to change sides are rewarded by becoming exemplary heroes or villains, and earning rewards not available any other way
3.) Heroes and villains who go to the other side can also act as Double-Agents
4.) Character Creator 2.0 includes Powers Customization, allowing players to customize not only the character, but also the actual look of its powers
5.) Players undertake missions that define their character's morality and steer them in a more heroic or villainous direction
6.) By switching sides (going from good to bad or bad to good), players can access content "on the other side" (heroes can experience villain zones and content, and villains can experience hero zones and content)
7.) Completely new low-level player experience/zones for new characters in which new characters do not begin a hero or villain, rather become one or the other through early gameplay
8.) New Spy Archetype, Power Sets & Costumes
9.) Universal Enhancement Slots - at level 50, these enhance powers to the character, essentially bringing them to a hypothetical "Level 60" once they have earned all ten slots -
I'm not sure if this link has been posted before, but there are some pretty awesome pictures on this blog:

I didn't know the space station mentioned in that old marketing survey had gotten that far into the development stage beofr eit was dropped

And now those Spiderling AE missions will be abandoned to block up the mission list

I wonder if Keith Nance ever wishes he had his elite government ninjas back?
-
But I thought it was going free to play, not closing down?

I wonder if anyone's ever tried coloring a real pony to look like one of them?

Quote:But maybe Malta made contact with Reichsman first, rather than him making contact with them?DMystic covers one reason, but the other is that it doesn't really fit with the rest of the Malta lore. In the Project World Wide Red arc you go to a huge amount of effort just to track down one of Malta's Directors, the idea that Reichsman can just waltz into our dimension and make contact with a member of the "Council of Leaders" (who presumably outrank the directors) is really hard to believe.
The other AVs are more realistic, both Vanessa and Countess Crey would be relatively easy to find and the Nemesis robot present is established to be a fake but Gyrfalcon has no justification other than "we need a replace AV, fast". If they'd put something in to establish that he was just a random senior Malta operative I wouldn't mind but making him "the Malta Group's top general and the only known member of the organization's mysterious Council of Leaders" doesn't fit with the rest of the Malta content. -

I think you need to be level 15, and then start the arcs in Neutropolis.

They could make them like the Siren's Call hotspots, so there'd be a battle between Vanguard and Tyrant's forces that players could join in on, rather than it being just a straight fight between players and invasion spawns.
There could be an invasion portal that spawns in the zone, with a warning and a short countdown timer, and during that time Vanguard forces would arrive, either from the nearest building doors or just by being TPed in, and then once the timer was at zero, the invasion forces would start entering through the portal.
They could also add RV-style morphing scenery during and after the battle, if they felt like rewriting all the zones to have that tech in them
