In that case, it's the smallest, weakest juggernaut I've ever seen

A juggernaut wouldn't have less than 2,000 people on its forums at peak time on launch day while there were 6,000+ people on the CoH forums at the same time.

A juggernaut would have more than one human face for player avatars.

A juggernaut would have moving hair.

A juggernaut would have animated faces.

A juggernuat would have body sliders.

A juggernaut would have separate costume areas for arms and shoulders.

A juggernaut would have more than 3 colors allowed for costumes.

A juggernaut would patterns for costumes.

A juggernaut wouldn't have ugly, lumpy player avatars.

A juggernaut would have smooth animations.

A juggernaut would have electric powers.

A jugegrnaut would have earth/rock powers.

A juggernaut would have martial arts powers.

A juggernaut would have super strength powers.

A juggernaut would have more than 3 travel powers.

A juggernaut would have a chat system that was designed to help players communicate.

A juggernaut would have stance emotes that weren't embarrassingly exaggerated.

A juggernaut wouldn't have little floating loot symbols over defeated enemy bodies.

A juggernaut wouldn't have random power ups accessed by breaking barrels.

A juggernaut wouldn't only launch with 5 servers and not have any queues on launch day.

A juggernaut wouldn't have poor preorders and launch day sales.

A juggernaut wouldn't be run by SOE.

    Issue 19.5

I wonder if the Spectronians are the Coming Storm?
  3. Team based content give the devs the biggest range of options to come up with new challenges - introverts are welcome to paly, but as they're in the minority, they can't expect that the game will be designed around soloing, with any spectacular encounters toned down to suit their play style.

Tyrant is trying to wipe out every single superpowered person in the world - it makes sens that superpowered people would join forces to fight him.
That's the whole point of Primal Earth teaming up with the Resistance - it's made clear in the game that the Resistance can't stop Tyrant on their own, and neither can Primal Earth - he's such a huge threat that it needs a trans-dimensional alliance just to stand a chance of halting him.
  4. I'm sure I'll find a use for this

It always brings players back too - are you planning on running a reactivation weekend at the same time?

Are you seriously going to hold someone who causes that kind of collateral damage up as the epitome of a hero? He can fly so fast he goes back in time. What reason, short of laziness or apathy, can you give for him causing mass swaths of destruction in every major fight he has?

    Supes is a vigilante.
Superman is the superhero - he's not a vigilante

One level shift per slot for the "level 60" that the devs have mentioned would mean that running the current high level TFs would give you gray AVs capped at 54 - so those MO badges might need tweaking

I think there's still some confusion about being underwater and being underwater

Too keep it from being too much like a fantasy MMORPG, I'd restrict the dinosaur aspect to a zone GM that "threatens" the small hero base (aid station, vendor, difficulty changer NPC, etc) and a few dinosaurs in the task force much like the minotaur/cyclops mobs in Cimerora. Most zone mobs would be 5th Col. types or native villager types (think like the D. Pantheon shamans). Also, like Cimerora, I'd save truely entering the heart of the ruins for the task force and mission arc climaxes. The mission arc focuses around freeing the natives' leader/princess/something so they're not forced to help the 5th Col. I'd give the task force a pulpy "Indiana Jones" or "The Phantom" feel with the 5th Column trying to excavate a lost artifact of great power.

The task force climaxes with the 5th column animating a massive Tyrannosaur skeleton and the heroes battling it. Good times.
How can you have all that without adding a giant gorilla GM?
  9. Just because a "competitior" does something, that doesn't mean it's off-limits to CoH - the devs here seem to have a "do it, but do it better" view when it comes to rescuing diamonds from dunghills.

    Ghost Falcon has the answer:

“We made it actually really cool to be a villain, right? And that’s awesome. And players were just choosing like “yeah I want to be loyalist, I want to be the guy that’s supporting the dictatorship."

  12. Second Measure, are you able to tell us if any work has been done yet on bringing the zones of Paragon City and the Rogue Isles up to the higher graphical standard seen in Praetoria?
  13. I got 8 Shards plus the Ancient Nictus fragment from a 90 minute ITF this evening
  14. Vigilantes would do that, not Heroes

Not yet, no - the Alpha slot is the headline feature of 19.5

One of those words doesn't really belong with the other three
