If you want to dream, then maybe it's a new beast body-type?

Quote:I wasn't being serious - I was just making a joke base on radient = shiny/glossyI don't remember if they were called that, only that they gave +radiance (hence radiant) which you had to have or you'd be fighting an impossible battle as you'd have like 8 dread (meaning you'd probably walk in with 1/100th of your health or something.)

Quote:I was just trying to think of a reason why the top tier seems to have a weaker boost than the 3rd tier. Were you trying to provoke another round of drama from the soloers?

It's sort of like the way the 2 new Incarnate TFs have smaller rewards at the end than the non-Incarnate ones - it might just be a temp thing until they add a reward linked to the Judgement slot instead of the 2 normal Shards that we get right now. -

Quote:Maybe next Tuesday, so there's a week of WST activity to comment on?Okay folks, place your bets when (if) the next monthly producer's letter will drop.
I hadn't heard they'd lost it? -
Quote:You only just noticed that?Wow it finally hit me.
Martyrs.
That's what all of these constant 'opinions' about the new WST amount to IMO. The cries of martyrs.
The over-reaction to this from a few people is just too silly to take seriously - if they'd be less dramatic about it, they might seem more reasonable. -

Yes - like an actual timeline of what you've done, as well as the surrent tasks you're doing, plus any content alerts like WST messages.

Quote:I know this is a rant but I don't care. This SF/TF of the week idea is a load of garbage!! I just spent 15 minutes trying to form a Tin Mage SF and no one was interested. I figured maybe if there were badges involved I might be able to get people to join so I switched gears and tried to form a MOapex. It took me 45 minutes to get 7 people on my team and we waited an additional 30 minutes until we all decided to give up. Normally, when I form a SF/TF people are banging on the door to get in. I know that the intention was to get people to try different SF/TFs but it's having the opposite effect. Everybody is doing the SF/TF of the week and they don't want to do anything else. Spending more than an hour during midday trying to form a SF is ridiculous. I am infuriated. I quit the game for the day. I won't be back until I cool down.
This was blue side for a week or two after GR went live:

But now, it's back to normal - and the same thing will happen with the WSTs, and also with I20. -
Maybe Tier 4 of the Alpha slot is required to unlock the Judgement slot?

The count doesn't reset - you won't lose any badge credits next week.

Batman is an unpleasant and pretty unsympathetic character, and his mentality is that of a dictator-in-waiting - if he had any superpowers, Gotham would end up like Praetoria.

For anyone having trouble with the WST, I'll be running the ITF across all the servers next week, and will be focusing on getting people who have trouble teaming to join.

Quote:That's because it is a mission arc - they tend to be run-once things, because contacts don't keep giving you the same storyline over and over againThe mission arc that unlocks incarnate content does not give a reward for doing it a second time. It faded in popularity once every character had run it once.

Quote:That other new thing has tried to reduce the amount of customization available to make players fit in with their chosen art style - but it hasn't workedTo be honest, David is one of the few artists that I've ever seen show good sense about one simple fact - if you give players the ability to express themselves creatively, they WILL make horribly ugly artwork, where character designs count as artwork in this context. This is, in fact, one point to which he conceded - that even given the tools available to players right now, and indeed given the tools available to players back at Launch, it is possible to make characters ugly as sin. This goes hand-in-hand with giving people the ability to make amazingly beautiful, cool characters out of that same selection of items. The greater the customization, the greater the margin of ugliness.
To play City of Heroes under the impression that you will never see other people playing ugly characters, doing and saying stupid things or writing horribly stories is so absurd as to be borderline psychotic. Does this new pack allow for more people to do that? Yes. Has there EVER been a pack which didn't give people new way to be ugly and stupid? No, not really. That's just how it goes. To complain about this is as futile as arguing with your own echo.

Quote:They said that the idea is to make it a a pop-up message when you log in, just like Father Time or DJ Zero contacting you when events start.I think most people in game yesterday morning found out first through trial and error then passed it on to the player base. As usual the patch notes took a long time to come out, had to be 4 or more hours after the servers went live. I'm hoping the weekly WTF is announced sooner in the future or if we can get two weeks advanced notice like this week.

Quote:It's a big difference - you can drop in and out of a raid without feeling you're letting down your team.A technical semantic that doesn't really make for options that are "non-team". Just because you don't formally use the in-game system to make the team doesn't make it not a team activity.
I'm going to be running the heck out of the ITF across all the servers next week, with the emphasis on helping those who don't team so often to get the Incarnate drops.
