Actullally, Rularuu is kinda small - he's a mad god who devours dimensions, but he's shorter than most of the skyscrapers.
If we ever get to fight him, he should take advantage of the height of the Shadow Shard zones, and reach all the way from the bottom to the top, which would make him over 2 miles tall. -
The majority of people prefer to be heroes rather than villains - a recent console based superhero MMO launched with identical rewards and amounts of content for the good and evil factions - but the majority of players chose to be good.

These are still Beta numbers - they can be changed based on player feedback.

Quote:There's are two villain/loyalist contacts in the compund who give you repeatable missions, but the actual zone storyline is about helping, saving and healing First Ward, and getting the Carnival of Light into a stronger position to take on Tyrant and the loyalists - it's co-op content, so it's always going to be heroic.I know a few people here have mentioned it, but is there really anything villainous to do in First Ward? Now lets not muddy the discussion with the "definition" of villainous, because we have an entire game that does ok with it. So far, I have broken the neck of one idiot D.U.S.T. officer all the while saving this person and rescuing that person. As it has been said, why am I here again? Seriously, as a level 20+ I am not yet privy to the bigger picture, so I am still out for self. The villain I have is disgusted by by making friends and that's all I seem to be doing, it's ridiculous!

War Witch said that there's still one easter egg in the RWZ that no one has found yet - it involves a mailbox.

Quote:Welcome homeI don't think it's all that far off that mark. Prior to coming back as part of the wave of returning players for CoH: Freedom, I was gone about one year (I left just before the Incarnate system came online). In the meantime, I had shifted my focus to that other, more popular MMO. The player base there is horrendous. Try to get help in the main chat channels and you're just asking for a hard time. Everything from being called "noob" to out and out questioning of your sexuality. It's an MMO for that special 12-year-old in all of us. Coming back here was a homecoming, a refreshing reminder that what I left was the most friendly MMO on the planet. AND I play mainly on the Freedom server. Sure, you still manage to get one 12-year-old guttermouth once in a while, but he's usually shouted down by more mature players.
Now I remember what made me love this game from Day One.
And I'm glad to be back.

It was the first door I tried for ToTing

If the Paragon Market offered a pre-made 50+3 avatar for $100, what would the people who bought it do with it, and what sort of impact would it have on the success and enjoyment of the players who hadn't bought it?

I won an Arena match yesterday against a freebie using only my Lore pet Cataphract.

This seems like projection - they assumed that adding phat lewt to the game would change the community in a bad way, so they left - and when they came back, they projected that belief onto the community they came back to, even though it hans't really changed.

This is an epic quote:
Quote:"We shared our data; the majority of players are heroes and I think thatÂ’s a good thing for society in general, but we certainly want players to be able to live both sides of the superhero experience."

I paid 15 dollars and won the new MoM Trial on Beta yesterday.

(Yes, I'm just a spoiled kid wanting my toy now, I'll admit.)

And now we completed MoM - with a little red name help

This is the most epic Trial so far, with lots of new lore and chances to talk to NPCs - and a great twist with a very well-knwon Praetorian

Access to TW was being handed out on a limited basis on Beta this evening.

I think that hiding the CoT faces and giving them all some kind of robed look was the key to making the revamp work.
