The fact that these vanity items keep getting added to the market would kinda suggest that people are buying them

One fight has the boss gain levels during it

That just means that Desdemona's been shopping at the Paragon Market

I've finally finished my 3rd comic for newer players - although it actually took a little less time that I thought it would
http://goldengirlcoh.deviantart.com/...over-289970138
As usual, I'll try and get it put into PDF form as soon as possible - until then, you can just click through the links attached to each page
Timeline/lore wise, like the previous 2, this is also set before the Praetorian War/Galaxy City disaster/"Who Will Die", as it was planned out and written around the time GR launched, with a few tweaks here and there to reflect the post GR content
The cast list was kindly contributed by the following 5 players:
Captain Electric @Captain-Electric
Green Witch @Nanas
Infernal Oblivion @Golden Destroyer
Shadow Wail @Shadow Wail
Phantom Operative @GenomeX -
Quote:It doesn't always have to be Trials - like so far, Hero 1's story has been told with a TF, and 2 normal mission arcs - while the Clockwork King only appears in 2 TFs at the moment. This is problematic in the COH Freedom setting.
With premiums and frees existing, the devs just cut themselves off from being able to tell a complete story. Premiums/Frees don't get access to trials.
Then again there is Paragonwiki. . . so nevermind then.
The devs just pick the mission type and mission tech that they think will be the best way of communicating the story they want to tell to the players - like the way they chose to explore pre-war Praetorian Earth with solo and standard 1-8 story arcs, then switched to TFs and 8-24 Trials to show the massive threat of the now Well-empowered loyalists. -
Quote:The problem with that approach is that it might not always suit the story they're trying to tell - all the mission types and mission tech are just story-telling tools. All three- the arcs, the task force, and the trials- should be entirely self-contained stories that don't lead into one another. They can reflect different facets in the battle against Mot, but when you make one lead into the other, you leave a lot of people feeling, " if you want to finish it, you gotta do something you don't like to do."
For example, the DD Trial gets an important part of its story set up from Dominatrix's solo-only non-combat mission, and Diabolique's motivation for being in Dark Astoria is presented in a standard story arc - so the devs have used solo, 1-8 and 8-16 missions to tell her full story. -

Quote:I think that you're thinking of the Rularuu = the Coming Storm theory, based on the Stormwatcher badge, even though Prometheus, Silos and the Dream Doctor all say that it's the Battalion, not the letter writer = the Dream Doctor theory, which was supported by several clues, with nothing really saying that he wasn't the letter writerThen why do I remember being contradicted so much whenever I said so?
-
Well, the Dream Doctor was either at the top of the letter writer guessing list, or pretty close to it - from the moment clues were given in I12

If we get more of Prometheus' Titan friends showing up, we might end up with a whole NPC group who are giants - I think it'd be cool to see their mission maps, with everything scaled to about 3 times our own size -there's be like huge hallways, and massive stairs, and rooms the size of caves, and lots of columns, with a sort of "techno-classical" style to everything - a sci-fi take on ancient Greek architecture.

We're running out of Stones of Shame
