I get the same issue anytime I try to actually play the game. lots of lag, lots of rubberbanding, then crash.
Situation Normal: All F'd Up. Nuff said. -

as shown here i haven't been able to play the game at all since you launched the event for this. worst idea evar. please roll back whatever garbage changes were put in for it because they fail.

keep an eye on your netgraph during these crashes. if you start getting a log of solid red bars or weird rubberbanding it could be related to an issue i've also been having for weeks that has made the game unplayable.

exact same issue I have been having on this thread that has made the game completely unplayable. it started when the 5th anniversary event started and there were NO CHANGES to my system within weeks of this happening. i've finally gotten fed up with trying to arm wrestle support over it and getting nowhere. ncsoft is soooo close to losing a customer they've had for 5 years because all they know how to do is blame the end user for the problem when there's not a chance in hell it's on my end. the lag ONLY HAPPENS when i try to actually do something in-game besides stand there. as soon as combat starts all the baddies and my teammates start rubberbanding all over the screen and i start dumping packets like mad. someone kindly explain just how the hell that is an issue on MY END?! oh and apparently i'm the only person this is happening to, nevermind i've heard atleast a dozen other people complaining about exactly the same thing in-game. and this thread must not exist so you're not really reading this reply to it either.

Here is what happens when you continuously make changes to the game that render it unplayable and fail to offer any support beyond blaming the problem on the end user who made no changes to their systems. hopefully a redname will see this and somehow pull their heads out of their rectums. YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS ARE PULLING THE PLUG ON YOU OUT OF FRUSTRATION.

So support couldn't fix my issues with being able to play the game, and billing can't fix the issue with giving me a credit for the game I wasn't able to use. Do you guys actually fix anyone's problems? It sure doesn't seem like it. This is about the same response to nearly every petition I've ever sent in. You aren't able to refund me the money, and I'm not able to play the game I paid for... how can we proceed from here? If you'd like to lose a customer that has been loyal to your company for five years (since may 6th 2004), go ahead and reply with that. Otherwise find some other solution. Thank you.

Hi ########,
When we process refunds, we would only be able to return the funds to the card that was used to make the purchase. If you no longer have the disposable card, and are not able to verify the last 4 digits of that card, we will be unable to refund the transaction regardless of the eligibility of your account.

Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to give the last four digits of the credit card used as it was a prepaid disposable gift card and I have since thrown it away. Logging in to the account management I am able to see the last 2 digits of it are "XX64". If this is not acceptable I can provide any other information you might need. My zip code is 85282. I am able to login to the master plaync account and would have access to any information that shows up within it if that matters or if there is something within
it I can do to speed this process up. Let me know, thanks.

I don't want to do troubleshooting. I want to play the game. I was able to play the game just fine before you made changes to it. Now I can't play at all. So yes get me over to whoever you need to about shutting the accounts down and getting credit for this whole month that I haven't been able to play. It's a shame you're not getting bombed with petitions, because I've heard plenty of people IN GAME complaining of the same things I am. Maybe they're tired of having the problems blamed on their
machines/connections by you folks too.

I can get you over to the right people to close your account down if you wish.
However, we're not seeing the issue you're reporting in any great quantity. If you don't wish to continue troubleshooting the issue, that's fine, just let us know so we can take care of this ticket for you.
In reality, were it a server side issue, we'd be seeing a flood of support requests and that's just not happening.

No. I am not giving you a logfile. This is not an issue on my end. If it was it would have started after I made changes to my system, which I haven't and didn't, not after you guys PUSHED CHANGES TO THE SERVERS. Kindly tell me how I can get a credit on my account for this entire month as I have been and still am completely unable to play this game due to the changes you have made. I would like this credit to be useable at some point in the future when you eventually figure out and fix the problem, probably
sometime in issue 17 after you add four more worse bugs. Also kindly let me know the best ways to cancel all of my accounts in a manner that will get someone's attention so I can tell them that by focusing on adding new crap we don't need instead of fixing long standing bugs you are losing long time customers. Quit breaking what isn't broken and fix the things that are! I am extremely upset with the lack of even an attempt at a solution beyond looking for some way to blame the problem on my machine or my

lasts much longer than 10 seconds. /sync doesn't seem to help and autosync either never happens or doesn't help when it does. i don't rubberband myself, only everything else on the screen does. baddies, mission objectives, teammates. everything goes bouncing all over the place. happens anytime there is a lot of action going on at once... like during a fight. any fight. the game has been rendered unplayable for me at this point ever since the anniversary event. i lag and lag and lag then the game crashes. netgraph fills up almost completely with red. support hasn't been able to offer any support with it beyond blaming my computer/connection, which were both fine prior to the anniversary event and were not altered at all since it.
I'm in the process now of shutting down all of my accounts and giving up on CoH completely. they don't know how to skip publishing new content in favor of fixing numerous bugs they have left unresolved for multiple issues. if things go on this way they'll eventually have a "critical fail" meltdown and nothing will work anymore. I know this, because I've been on the developer side of such a meltdown from trying to add too much crap without fixing the legacy stuff. but meh, whatever. run things however you see fit. I'll come back in issue 17 or so when these connection issues have been replaced by 4 new equally annoying problems, and loads more content no one asked for. -

When do you crash: anytime there is some kind of fighting/action going on, netgraph starts filling up with red spikes then eventually the game crashes. during this time everything on the map begins to rubberband (my character doesn't, but any teammates/baddies do). this began during the 5th anniversary event after i14 launched, prior to that i had next to no connection issues. i have persued this with support and they blame it on my wireless, except as i've said, it worked fine before these updates and i made no changes to the system.
Does it affect all characters: i believe so
Does it affect only characters in one or more SG's or VG's: don't believe so, seems like other people also complain of lag and crashes
Addendum: as this has already been going on for several weeks and still hasn't been resolved to my satisfaction, I am cancelling my main acct and will not be renewing it or my second account or reactivating my third or fourth accounts until I get word that these crashing issues have been completely resolved. the game is no longer playable for me AT ALL and I refuse to pay for something I cannot use. happy gaming to those of you that can still make use of this crap. -
I just setup a new wireless modem on my laptop through a different wireless broadband provider. So far it is much much more stable, will stress test it dual boxing in a farm map and running on an 8 man TF team later tonight and see if I have any more issues. I really hope this fixes the problem as I want to PLAY the game I'm paying for.

My internet service doesn't include the ability to plug in with a wired connection. It's wireless broadband that covers my whole apartment complex, the apartments aren't hardwired. I have had cable in the past and the wired connection with it was rock solid, never even a bump.

I have been having constant connection, mapserver and login server issues since the launch of issue 13. While I did occasionally have similar problems prior to issue 13 due to my wireless they have increased a thousandfold with it's launch. Problems I have now:
-- Being told the login server is unavailable when trying to login, only to have it available again 10 seconds later, sometimes lasts for 10-30 minutes on end.
-- Randomly getting disconnected from the server without a single blip on netgraph. Happens on all characters, all servers, red and blue sides. The mapserver basically gives me the finger.
-- Getting a lapspike that induces mapservering and/or then server disconnect. Sometimes the same mapservering happens but is announced by a massive lagspike full of yellow and red on netgraph.
-- Constantly losing sync which most of the time using /sync or even spamming a "sync$$sync$$sync$$sync" bind does nothing to improve. Rarely syncing fixes this, more often I am left to ride it out until it just quits.
-- Getting constant slow response/high pings/lost packets from the game. Part of this very well could be my connection, but there are times my netgraph will show a ping of 700-1200 ms even when there is ZERO lag doing other things like surfing the web (to any site). This sometimes jumps to 2500-3200ms pings where any and all commands to the game are delayed by 20 to 30 seconds.
-- Display driver crashing multiple times per week, typically around once a day. Game usually, but not always, requires file verification when restarting. This particular issue NEVER happened prior to issue 13.
All in all whatever was changed in issue 13 has very nearly made the game unplayable to me. I have been a subscriber with multiple accounts since 2004, and would like to continue to be. I am considering switching internet providers to see if this might help with the problems I am having, however if it fails to help or any of these issues continue after making this change I may be forced to find another game to give my money to. -

and further suggest a review of prestige earning rates and current base costs. i think things are still a little wonky. but the minimum influence while in sgmode thing may go a long way towards fixing that too.
EDIT: Why not just give people a loot slider? let them pick what percentage of influence or prestige they're comfortable with. -

My guess as far as this goes is that Defenders will also get thermal once they've figured out a way to make it's already-insane debuffs (fenders are the debuff kings, no?) even more insane but somehow still balanced. I'd like to see Rad Blast blasters and Fire Blast defenders also, hopefully these will be some of the future additions. I'd also [u]REALLY[u] love to have Dark Miasma controller buffs/debuffs. Plzplzplz!

It is used in contruction of atleast one elite turret for base defenses, which is why I am wanting to know how/where to get them. So if I were to run missions in a pvp zone these should drop? In any zone? I'm trying to find out if they only drop under certain circumstances, or when/how you're most likely to get them.
