Very nice! And by nice I mean creepy!

Very nice. Good on you, NCSoft!

Quote:Thanks! I need to figure out where to take her next. Maybe watercolors? HeheGreat contrast to your recent realistic look! Another awesome grab GQ!
Thank you.I'm really lucky to find an artist who could take what was in my head and put it down visually in one fell swoop!
Quote:his name is rumple....nikstlitslepmur...eh don't matter 'Queens got his gold anyway...
Quote:I love this one... and the artist responsible went on Watch instantly. His deals used to be 20 bucks a bust but now it's 25. If you're in the market for a new piece then you may want to jump on it soonish before he goes up in price again. I should too, I have a few more characters I'd love to see done in his style!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I don't think anyone is a stranger to Avionetca's work here. I've been watching her for a while now and waiting for the time to have her particular style grace my characters. I think this was the perfect time for it and I'll probably go back to her for most of my holiday scene needs. After the latest realistic portrait of Goblin Queen I also figured it would be cool to go to the other end of the spectrum for a very cute and cartoony version of GQ. Avionetca, of course, always delivers in this regard.
I had a *very* specific scene in my mind when I went to her. I knew her attention to detail was pretty impressive but I wasn't sure if that was all of her own doing or by following the vision of the commissioner or a combination of both. So when I sent her the details of the scene and she sent back the art, without asking for any clarification or the like, I was shocked. It came out much better than I thought it would. She got everything down perfect - the leprechaun getting mugged for his gold, Goblin Queen ripping apart a four leaf clover and the goblin dancing in joy at the falling clover leafs. I particularly loved the background, the rainbow and her take on Goblin Queen. Very cute!
She was a real treat to work with, I'm definitely going back! -
Good stuff! Welcome to the forums, Junior!

Actually, out of all of those latest screenshots, I think the shoulder pieces are the most awesome and should make a come back. I could see some steampunk/clockwork/industrial use out of that.
I think ALL the pieces should come back, including all of those in the screenshots, but I particularly liked those shoulders! -
Quote:I'm ALL for it. I have some toons that are shapeshifters or have multiple "incarnations" that would put 10 slots to perfect use. I have some characters that won't ever go beyond the initial costume slot. Just depends. But I would love to have the option.I'll suggest it again;
Costume Slots Addition
Final Number: 10
Slot 1: Base - Character Creation
Slot 2: Level 10 - Free
Slot 3: Level 20 - Current Unlock
Slot 4: Level 25 - Free
Slot 5: Level 30 - Current Unlock
Slot 6: Level 35 - Free
Slot 7: Level 40 - Current Unlock
Slot 8: Level 45 - Free
Slot 9: Level 50 - New Unlock
Slot 10: Halloween Salvage
Sorted. People that don't care about costume slots much get the 5 for free (Base and four free ones) while those who DO care get double slots to play with. And all that needs working on is a slight UI tweak and one new mission to unlock the level 50 slot.
I don't see a downside here.
Ideally for free and per Techbot's suggestion above.
But I'd pay for it. I suggested once that future Booster Packs should come with a built in extra slot too. Probably a max of 10 with the current slots. -
Quote:I saw an Arachnos Elite at the costume contest on Friday. His name was Inquisitor Mot I believe. Whomever owns that character probably looks at these forums (unless they stumbled across the CC in game) so hopefully they'll chime in. I wanted to find them too to put in my Widow.Hey all,
A friend and I recently made some Arachnos toons, and we're looking to join an Arachnos Themed villain group with them. We had our sights on the Arachnos Elite at first, but really haven't been able to find anyone from that group in a couple weeks.
And, yeah, I mean, I know that it's kind of past the Golden Age of Arachnos VG's, but i'm sure that there is still at least one out there that does RP.
If anyone here is a member of one, or knows someone who could help me and my friend out, I would be so grateful.
Thanks in advance!

Quote:Yup, that would be awesome. I kind of expected that to happen in some story lines. It's definitely logical for it to happen. I'm still waiting for it to happen on Fringe. ;PWhat would be interesting is if some of the Praetorians get to our world and look around and then turn on Cole. Essentially going rogue from Cole's point of view but turning from evil to good from our POV, because they realize that our world is significantly different from theirs and that Cole's rules do not apply here.
I'd actually like to read the comic based on that. Hell, I'd like to *write* the comic based on that. -
Quote:This is just my gut feeling but I think the IDF armor will be free in i20 to squelch the we don't get an costumes for free anymore complaints. I also think it'll also be free because it will help in some small way to mollify the complaints that we'll have to buy the Incarnate armor (the sneak preview screenshot) with Astral or Empyrean merits (which I think is likely going on past systems like Vanguard). While I don't want to do this for every character, I see EG's view on this as one the Devs probably have, at least initially. I certainly think over time it may change much like all the stuff Dispari mentioned has changed.Global unlocks I could get behind, as long as they aren't ungodly expensive and all new costume parts are this way. If you have to be an incarnate just to wear a pair of pants, screw that.
Now what I really think we should focus on is allowing this carrot to be there but really clamor to have the pieces being globally unlocked once bought by an Incarnate. It's way past time CoH started doing costume bits unlocked across all characters. It's one of the features I appreciate in.. a couple other games.
This way it stresses the association of being an Incarnate. Much like how the old levels required to be an Epic AT where you had to be 50 to unlock them. Again, I don't agree with it being like this for *every* character but I do share, to some extent, EG's view on it being something you achieve. I could get behind some Incarnate auras too. Then this is all just another incentive to do the Incarnate system at least once.
I'm pretty sure if they already have it in mind to be purchased via Astral/Empyrean Merits then it's going to happen but I hope we can influence them with our feedback on the account wide unlock at least. -
I missed the edit. Happy (now) belated birthday, Troy!

Quote:Agreed. I hope they go through all the feedback about it. Generic Origin pets are the best bet. While not ideal i think that later expanding the Lore tree to include other types of summons is acceptable. Assuming that later is not a year or more...
While I'm never expecting full on pet customization I would like to have the ability to change skin colors. Probably as difficult as full on customization but green demons please! If we get generic Origin Wisps then being able to change the color would be great too. -
Very much /signed. I was just trying to make a costume with a single eye aura. Sadly, I think only the Combat Aura one had it. Very limiting if you don't want a laser streaming out of your eye.
-
Right. That's why I said "for some reason" as I was clearly confusing things. I had it in my head that there was a scientific process to get the Nictus to be compatible to merge with a host in a beneficial way (towards the host). I was way off! I've never played one past a couple levels nor read their lore extensively. Going to change that with Bill's backstory guide!
I can hang with Science Nictus Masterminds. -
I was bummed when I couldn't make a blood red or sulfur yellow rain. =/ One of my stormies is a DS/Storm who calls upon Abyssal storms. Was looking forward to the color selection being greater than it was.
-
/signed It'd do well as a poor man's Gem power. ;P We'll just say the slow component is target picking the gem shards out of their bum. I know we get crystal choices in Stone sets but those, to my recollection, are fairly dull in their vibrancy. It'd be nice to have extremely saturated color selections in Ice.

Quote:Ah, I thought it was for all Warshades for some reason, not Nictus. Poop.Science is the origin of all Nictus, though. They're standard Kheldians, warped through scientific experiment to be energy-vampire-things. That's why PBs are Natural; they are natural for the Kheldian race. Nictus are warped offshoots of that. Hence Science.
Edit - ah well, still love the idea! -
Quote:I'd be quite miserable if this happened. We finally have a way coming up to get around the evil Vanguard bottleneck. This would be much, much worse. If by "interesting" you mean "really terrible idea" then yes. Locking costume parts to 35+ is already bad enough, but locking them to post-50 is a pretty bad move. If they do this at all (they shouldn't), it should be limited to an insanely microscopic amount of costume parts. Please just give us the rest as part of regular content.
UNLESS they allow it to be an account wide unlock if you do it with one Incarnate. They've illustrated this *seems* to possible with the whole Wisps Aura unlock. I say that due to the messaging you get each time you log on an existing character and having it available to new characters before even logging into the game. Granted, the mechanics on it unlocking are probably going to be different and possibly tricky but I think it'd be worth the investment and would allow it to be an Incarnate carrot as well as make it less heinous for costume addicts.
Quote:That was very good of you to record and upload.
I am surprised someone didn't ask about the ability to customize the Lore pets
And I agree. Very surprised. -
Quote:That's my next question, which I guess will get answered on Monday/Tuesday. What happens to the conflicting @globals?Both my globals are @damz so curious how they solved that problem
My EU version best keep it!
But other than that concern.. awesome! So glad this is happening. -
Quote:Agreed. It's the character under the clothes that's heroic. :P I really think we could make great use of an Urban Pack or Secret Identity Pack or hell, just for free street clothes. I don't think Suits are very heroic if you look at a business suit in general but we have them and plenty of heroes and villains use them in the game.Am I the only one who finds this to be very disappointing, and a bit of a disservice? For a game that touts customization, saying "Oh, you can't have a street clothe wearing hero, it's not heroic." strikes me as being a big mistake.
Heroes can be caught offguard, or maybe not have time to get into their costume. We have Pocket D and Studio 55 for roleplaying, there are characters that aren't spandex clad heroes, that street clothing would suit, it would suit villains to for similar reasons.
Also, if street clothes 'aren't very heroic', then what the hell, Party Pack? How heroic is dancing like Michael Jackson, or bouncing a basketball? -
I agree. I truly HATE the effects tied to Fly/Hover. I'd love the option to turn it off.
