Unfortunately, switching tabs like that doesn't alter the destination of the input box.
It's either right click and select the one you want, or use the /send feature as far as I can tell.. Unless someone can find a bind which will change the chat destination for you...

Sorry, you r wrong.... if u create a tab, u can sset what is the default.
I use tabs and to write a channel i just need to select the tab....
Edit: lol, many answers of same nature... sorry, didnt read all.... -
Don't forget a channel for Union Hamidon Raids....

You need to have the contact unlocked in order to do the taskforce. Rife does NOT have him unlocked, is there a teammember who does?

I could be 28 or 29 on that date, if there is room for my troller, i will be in.
-
Happy for this info, so tf wont take too long. This means that we can change the day, just in case someone ask for that.
A hand from an experienced player is always welcome -
Have u checked Achievement badges?
My troller got Forward Observer badge for pvp rep=100 and Disruptor for pvp rep=400. Anyway no badge for pvp rep=200.
If this is what u are speaking about 'pvp reputation' badges, maybe u are speaking about something else.... -
Heya,
last week i did Sara Moore tf with a good team. That insane tf needed 3 evenings to finish, but it was nice and fun, and because i was the only 50, i think all teammates enjoyed the good exp from killing 51-52 foes...
So now i've decided to look around for any hero ready for Augustine tf. My plan is to do starting on next Monday 12/12 at 7pm gmt, doing as much as possible and continue on next day, same hour, and eventually continue on next day, same hour, until tf is finished...
If Sara Moore tf is insane i don't know how to classify this:
33 missions, 8 defeat 'x' foes, 15 visit location, 5 delivery, 5 indoor.
I don't know exactly if 'visit location' are indoor mishes, if so they can be done stealthy.
Here you can find all info about this tf:
The Saga of Faathim
Any tip from heroes that knows this tf is welcome.
Who is interested, please sign up here.
Forgot: i have a bad feeling with geysers, so any 'recall friend' will be appreciated -
My troller will be up and ready for that, at any hour

I have a lvl 50 inv/ice tank and have just started a fire/energy tank because unlike most people i think tanks are greatany advice on powers at all would be appreciated, i noticed a lot of fire tanks don't have temperature protection, any reason for this?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, with fire and plasma shields it's only a waste of power... absolutely useless, believe me: without Temp Protection i destroyed Portal in Infernal mish soloing, with at least 30 demons + Infernal attacking me with ranged fire.... my hp were going down only after energy tranfer.
Imo, there r different builds for low and high lvls.
Ie: i used blazing aura a lot at low lvl but removed when i got Burn.
Now post I6, it's your choice to take burn or not. I removed it after I6, but can be useful if u team a lot with holders.... cause now foes tend to run away from fire. Many fire tankers decided to take blazing aura after I6.
What i really like is energy melee: energy transfer is the best attack in the game, except for crits (12.9 brawl index), and, with health (fitness) the hp lost are not a problem.
You'll be a dmg dealer tanker and not a 'pure' tanker with 2
extreme dmg power, 1 high dmg and a good AOE dmg, so going to do many attacks you need Consume to recover endurance.
With 1 acc and 1 end mod it works fine.
Finally, most attacks have very good chance to disorient foes (even bosses).
Final consideration for Total Focus: it's a great power (brawl index about 9 so not as energy transfer) but personally i don't like powers with slow animation and slow recharge, but it's up to your style of play.
Anyway: post I6, if u wanna tank decently, u need 'tough' from fighting pool (dont take boxing that is another disorient attack, u really don't need)
And, yes, as told by Dragon you need Acrobatics. -
I did only a base example, just to say: if we do some math we'll find the right number. Well increasing by 90% means 48 instead of 40, not a big increase...
According with your suggestion (using 4/2 instead of 6) just increase the number to reach that 200% pre-ED.
Also with 60 we can manage lag i think.
The only problem will be: are there around enough controller to do that? -
hiya all,
i wish to tell you my opinion.
Reading the US forums, it's clear that pre-I6 raids used 20-30 holders to successfully hold Hami. Now:
imagining that all of them (say 30) had hold power slotted 4/2 with even lvl hold/recharge: this means that all had an increase of 133.2% on hold. Post I6 this is 100%.
This means 33.2% less than before...
What do you think about just increasing the number of holders by 33%? This will be 30+10=40.Not a big number...
Yes, maybe not all have same slotting but this can be the base to calculate the right number.
Same calcs can be done for all that have to increase *really* accuracy.... more numbers to compensate the ED gap.
About the lag: during last Jersey raid (pre-I6) there were at least 160 peeps inside and the raid was successful.
Yes i never seen hami during that, but worked.
We can manage lag, just go holding....
edit: so i agree with DiscoKing... also a 5% more can do the difference -
Well, hami is still alive, but i want to say thanks to all leaders that tried new strategies.
I participated to the pre I6 raid in october, and also after a victory, i was not happy, for doing almost nothing.
This time, instead, there were a very good teaming sync, all leaders doing the best, apart of the risk to try new strategies to find the way to kill hami post I6.
Stagefright, Velvet noir, Jiaozy and all other team leaders did a great job.
Please, don't think this was a failure, but just a new step for the victory. -

And well... That's about it. Masterminds are greatI've never had so much fun playing a toon in either CoH or CoV, and the interactions for comic effect are endless
[/ QUOTE ]
Totally agree with you
Starting at head-start i built a stalker, a brute and finally a mastermind...
It's really great how u can 'command' your army...
and i played almost solo, and after few mishes, i raised the difficulty level.
Sorry for stalker and brute, but i'm going to play mm for the future (still waiting my box, sigh)

We have plans for personal bases (aka Hideouts or Player Apartments) to come in the near future. These won't be PvP playable maps, so there shouldn't be as many restrictions on what you can place where.

Official thread on the US boards

You know that would suit me fine. All I am really interested in is the decorative stuff. I like to play with base builders
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree. Personal bases (or apartments) can improve rpg style. -
I see that there are many discordant opinions.
After some day doing my base, i changed my idea from 'ridicolous' to 'devs can distinguish from big and small sg". How?
Well, with only 10 members (3 active, other only alts) i have built a 2 room base: Entrance and Workshop room
I fully decorated the base (Oranbega style) and i put also a workshop table, waiting for energy and control.
Of course, that is with the smallest plan available. But i like my base atm. And furnitures are cheap, so we can do any experiment with decorations with no problems.
I'm actually half-way for the control room.
I think there are 2 different uses of base:
for small sg, that can't raid at first instance, would be really cool the use of workshop and, most important, a Teleport room. The teleport can improves the speed of all low lvl members (you'll say: oh, really?? We never minded!)
So... why devs don't change the costs of any not-directly-related-to-pvp rooms, leaving the other prices unaltered?
Also: i think plans cost really a bunch.
Can the devs give us at least the 2 kind more accessible, leaving the others unaltered?
In this way, i think, any sg can get functional, but small, bases faster, and big sg will have a chance to have bigger.
It's clear that all sg can get all, but the problem is the time...
If i can get a small, but functional, base (not for raids) in 2-3 months max, instead of one year, i will be happy.
EDIT: Another idea could be that some low cost item is available based on the number of members. So big sg can't access a too-cheap item for them. When a small sg will increase, they can only 'upgrade' if they want (not add), just selling old room (no more available) and buying new ones....

Not to mention us RPers!!! A usefull base for us would need the largest size with as many rooms as possible dressed differently to represent different locales... Just to aid us in RP. At current costs, eep!!! Not a hope!! We're not interested in the IoP raids...
I'm going to have a go and see what I can build tomorrow with just a few thousand... Non functional items are meant to be pretty cheap so maybe I can manage a single room...
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, u can absolutely manage entrance room as well as other one or maybe two (if u start with 300k). But if u wanna change plot to have a big base... well you'll became crazy reading the costs...
Only decorations are cheap (maybe too cheap)
And yes, i love RP, and my SG is small... -

actaully i think pres isnt linked to lvl like inf is, so say u kill a +1 boss u get 50 prestige weather your lvl 5 or 25, at east that what i was lead to believe from something i've read, probably that faq on the US site.
if that was the case that would also be the reason the exchange rate is so crappy, so u cant earn millions of inf then convert it in to pres, so it's actaully more cost effective to earn the pres directly.
its not that bad really i managed to rack up 8k in about 5 hours of play,
so say a SG has 20 active members each making 8k a day you'd be raking in 160k prestige a day, lets round that down to 100k just cause not everyone is gonna want to be earning prestige alongside and instead of inf all the time. 3 mil a month ish, how much does all that stuff cost anyway?
and we all know that the devs will tweak the numbers over the coming months.
[/ QUOTE ]
lol. Are you planning to play every day for 5 (five) hours to gain 3mil in one month (and your 20 m8s, of course)... this means that a normal play (as i was speaking) need *ONE* year...Exactly what are dreaming at ncsoft...
Some big item costs 15-20 mil....
Well if they tweak.... -
Well, seems that the amount of prestige we gain from foes is really ridicolous compared to the cost of rooms in the base....
Developers think that me and my members will play *one* year to build one room???
LMAO -
Heya all,
looking at SG registrant, i've seen that a choice to convert influence to prestige exists.
I didn't tried that, because i would like to know if i can choose the amount to convert after clicking it or just all my influence became prestige (bad thing, of course).
Anyone have tried it?
