Thanks to Cheryl and El Topo (Biblioteca!) for providing this list.

NOTE: THESE BE NOT OFFICIAL PATCH NOTES. (We'll publish those when these fixes are live).

    • Fixed clipping of bustier’s under jackets and trench coat
Well, that's one of my two favourite bugbears fixed, yay.

Still no sign of gender proliferation on the long jackets (women can wear long coats too y'know, we've been asking for the baron jacket ever since the magic pack came out. We were asking for the steampunk jackets to be made available to females since the pack was first released on test.) This is not so good. C'mon guys, what's so hard about this concept?

Edit, because having read this back, it comes off very ungrateful and petulant:

Really glad you guys have taken our concerns on board, and have been making updates to make things better for us. Kudos for that, however peevish I appear to be about the jacket thing.
  2. Zwillinger did say they were looking into all the feedback about the steampunk pack and poking the art team into looking at updates for it. Personally, I just hope they fix the clipping issue with the female chest pieces and jackets

I think he's referring to the lamentable state of affairs that means that several of the costume pieces are, for unknown reaons, gender specific.

The main one is that the long coats are only available on male models (just like the baron jacket from the magic pack) in defiance of all common sense. The clock belt needs proliferating across to male toons, and both have a glove option that the other should also have. There may be more but they're the first that spring to mind.

That's Ma'am. Or "Zortel, Queen of the Universe" to you

The issue has started to become the fact that the devs said there would be other paths to getting the incarnate level stuff rather than just the trials (but slower.) What's happening is that more and more stuff is being shuffled out of THAt path, and into the "must do trials" path. Which is a problem.

  7. Adding my tuppence.

There's also a clipping issue with the female chest options when wo
rn under a jacket. On anything but minimum chest sliders, the bustiers clip through the jacket front

And my support for gender proliferation of coats.
  8. Good:
    New pistols - Awesome
Victorian Decor Aura - Very Awesome
New backpacks and wings - Very cool.
Actually, all of this is cool. Aside from the bits below.

    Bad:
No bolero jackets in sleeveless jackets? Whose bright idea was that?
No long jackets for females? Once again, we get short changed, just like with the baron jacket. As others have said, the lack of gender proliferation in some of these outfits is just crazy.

    Ugly:
Both female chest details, when worn under a jacket, clip through the front of the jacket on any chest slider setting above absolute minimum.
The already mentioned bug with the rifle's muzzle flash.

    Just kidding.

I'll have to create my toon on all the newly added servers tonight. Right now he exists on all US servers.
Just be glad you don't have it during peak playing hours. That's gutting.

The lab was, at least being kept tidy. The Pirate Roombas, under Josie's direct control, had made sure of that. Josie herself was dressing, changing out of the hospital gown she'd endured during the surgical procedures. Even while she hunted for her clothes, she was running over the tactical updates on her headware, dictating notes and minor commands as she went.

"Josie, monitors indicate that you overrode the medical restraints." Bodi, as always, was the soul of politeness. "What is the matter?"

"Bodi, you've seen these reports, you know what it means. It's time I got to work." Josie hunted for her boots, while replying to the AI's disembodied voice.

"Do I need to remind you that you are scheduled for at least three more weeks of run-in testing and rebalancing before you're ready to be let back onto active duty?" Bodi was as polite as ever, but there was a stern edge creeping into her voice. "You should probably go back to bed, relax, and let the others handle this."

Josie pondered this for a moment, even as she finally found her boots... and then lost her balance ever so slightly, still unused to the different

weight of her new limbs. Leaning against the workbench, she sighed. "Bodi, I know. Medical rules technically mean I can be removed from duty if I'm still deemed to be at risk. I know I'd normally take a lot more time than this. If the data's accurate though, we don't have those weeks, we have a couple of days before everything goes to hell in a handbasket. If there's risk to me, then it's not as risky as me being sidelined for a fight that's going to take all our resources." Josie had forgotten her boots for the moment. "I've always liked live-fire testing anyway."

Bodi was silent for a long moment, and when she spoke again, her voice was rather less firm than before. "But if I let you go, you might very well get seriously hurt. You might be at a disadvantage because of some design flaw or bug we haven't detected yet. I don't want you to die, least of all because you cut some corners, even in an emergency." She sounded worried now, almost fretful. "I wouldn't like it, and I'd feel responsible." Bodi changed tactics. "Anyway, here's someone who agrees with me." The lab door slid open, and Noodles ambled through. "He doesn't want you to go either." Noodles wandered up to Josie, as if to illustrate the point, licked Josie's toes... and then fell asleep at her feet. "His lack of enthusiasm speaks for itself, right?"

"Bodi." Josie smiled, although tinged with seriousness. "You know very well what we're going to be up against. Some of their tech is years ahead of the mainstream here. That makes it part of my job. Also," she said, ticking off on her fingers, "They're going to need all hands on deck. If someone innocent, someone who shouldn't be involved in this, gets killed because I wasn't there, how do you think I'd feel?" She ticked off another finger. "I
know how you feel. I know why you don't want me out there, and believe me, if this wasn't an emergency, I'd be spending time with you instead." She started to pull her boots on, carefully avoiding the dozing noodles. "Do the maths though. I'm not important in the grand scheme of things. Stopping invaders from another dimension? That's important. You and me... that's important too, but we both know that if I can fight, I have to, and you're going to let me, because you know I'm right."

Bodi was silent for a moment more, and when she spoke again, her voice was almost business as usual, although one could be forgiven for imagining it to be a shade petulant. "Alright, if it is decided, then clearly as OverAI, I must abide by the dictates of necessity. You have at most two or three days to be back to fighting trim, to run what checks and bugfixes we can. If I can be of any help, do not hesitate to enquire. If you need any special supplies for your efforts, then I will provide. In the meantime, I shall be doing the laundry."

Left to her own thoughts, and finally finishing getting her boots on, Josie reflected, and wondered whether AI's could wash their hair for a solid week.
  15. And so we say farewell to a number of long-standing names. Like mine. I've used Gideon since EU launch, and continued when we got totalcat. It breaks my heart to have to giv it up because I'm in the UK. But these things are sent to try us. Not sure what my new global will be, although AwesomeHat McCoolCane has been suggested (thanks Zortel )

And for all those global names lost in this madness, I offer this comfort.

Debt shall not weary them, nor the devs condemn.
At the going down of the server, and in the morning,
    We will remember them.

    You're not the only one.

If this isn't resolved reasonably soonish, I'm phoning my bank to say "Hey, these guys? Don't let them have my money."

I'd lose my accounts for this and Guild Wars, but eh, I doubt I'd play another NCSoft title if this doesn't get sorted.
And when they have people who've been loyal to this game since launch, more or less, willing to do this... that's when you know things have gone pear-shaped.

Ncsoft, it appears, have well and truly used the footgun this time.

  18. I don't think any of my characters are actual millionaires, in the classic Bruce Wayne sense, or anything. Most of them are comfortably off enough to make most day to day expenses a non-issue. Why? Simply because I've lived on an extreme shoestring budget, and I don't find playing a character in that way fun. It's not fun in real life, why should I find it fun in a game?

Possibly the closest I get to a rich character is Josie, and her approach to cash is... well, unique. She's very much an easy come, easy go kind of gal. for her, money is a way of funding more robots and technology, and having fun with, not a goal to be achieved. Frankly, to create a hi tech character, there's 95% of the time going to be some source of funding/backup somewhere ("Where does he get those wonderful toys?") unless you're going with a "build a ray gun out of a salvaged toaster" approach, which could be fun to try at some stage. her income is entirely worked out and justified in game, and, to be fair, isn't small, but in terms of actual in game effects, all it really does is keep the endless supply of toys running.
  19. To be fair, I've been bemoaning the lack of long-haired styles for male characters ever since european launch. It's been a large part of why I don't make male characters on CoH, generally. That, and a guitar as a custom weapon, and my Metal God would be complete.

The bAron jacket seems to be an incredibly popular wish for female characters, and I can;t help but agree. Same with hair under hats.

Some of the design choices in this area just seem odd. Not necessarily prejudiced, but they do betray certain idelogical ideosyncracies about proper gender-specific appearances.

Now all you have to do is get him Isolator badge, and you're all set. 'Tis better to do the tutorials rather than have him have flashbacks at age 35.

  22. In all honesty, the only characters I've gotten close to hating are my Nin/nin stalker (never gotten past 22, really should delete) and my em/ea brute (concept character, 41, too high to get rid of, in spite of the fact that /ea is awful.) I dont hate it per se, but my old Inv/em tank also gets on my nevres right now, mostly cos there's no simple way to io set that character up.
