Thank you! I was trying to remember that bind last night and couldn't!

I found the one in PI by ToTing. I didn't know about it until then.

This was at something called ZomBCon. So take that hearsay with a grain of salt.
Daryl is Norman Reedus, not Dale.

If you're not familiar with Norman Reedus, I suggest "The Boondock Saints".

I never thought about earlier conotations, but I can believe that it has earlier meaning than what I first remember seeing it in. Piers Anthony was quite popular in the '70's and 80's so he probably took the term for his novels from the cons he was invited to.

I still shudder to think that I, my friends, and my dad, once thought his books were awesome. So much so that a friend of mine made a D&D campaign out of Xanth.

Agreed. I love the map and I wish it was available in a non-team environment.
  7. First of all, welcome to the City, Dogahn!

My favorite characters in MMOs, as well as tabletop, are also Monks, Rangers, Bards and Rogues, although a certain most-played MMO in the world has turned me off the Rogue class forever.

I have a Dual Pistol/MM blaster that I enjoy, but he's not my favorite character of all time.
I think it's more from my enjoyment of melee DPS than the character. I want to be Chow Yun Fat in a John Woo movie, not faceplant boy in a comedic role. But, I have seen people with the same powerset dominate groups of mobs set for +8, so your mileage may vary.

As for Dominator, again with the ranged DPS vs melee, the only one I liked playing was Earth/Thorns, which I have tried again and again, only to get bored with in the late 20's. I have no call on Electric at all.

And with Kinetic, I tried it as well. A couple of times. It's melee dps, which I love, but Kinetic didn't do it for me. But I have read that several people love Kinetic/Shield, so you may want to try that out, depending on what others who respond to this say.

Anyway, again, welcome to the game! Always glad to see new people stopping by!

Ah, I did not know that. Except for Batman, I've never been that big a fan of DC.
  10. Yeah it was strange seeing you know who die, especially since Constance was in a state of denial over it.

And I loved Zach Quinto's way over the top acting. I miss Sylar, I may have to rewatch Heroes.

Also, as I pointed out to my fiancee, @Anasthesia, this show brings a whole new meaning to that bit from "Pulp Fiction,"

    Zed: Bring out the Gimp.
    Maynard: Gimp's sleeping.
Zed: Well, I guess you're gonna have to go wake him up now, won't you?
Even though I am wondering who it is myself. At first I thought it was Chad (Zach Quinto), now I'm not so sure. Unless the Gimp is the Keyser Soze of "American Horror Story" and several people play him at least once.

Then again, I try to read them now and wonder what I was thinking.
  12. I have it on the two characters I wanted it on, but with new powersets on the horizon, I may want it on one of those new characters, so:

    /signed
  13. I know the first couple of times I tried it with just one friend, the others on the team would zip through it.

On time four or five a new person asked if we wanted to get Black Whip. Since the whole Dr. Kane thing is new, I said sure. I didn't even know what the Black Whip was at the time.

Now I always ask if someone hasn't done the trial before, so we can go slowly and explore the whole thing.
  14. I have a grand total of one blaster. He's level 40 and is DP/MM. I like the combination a lot.
  15. IIRC,

Apocalypse is a Marvel trademarked character anyway, so DC had to use Apokalips (or however it's spelled).

Sometimes, not often, but sometimes it does get cold and snowy in North Georgia. We got three heavy snows (for here) last winter, we usually only get one.

That being said, I live an hour NE of Atlanta, so we have slightly different weather, especially with, just going by the show, not the comic, they are supposed to be heading south toward Ft. Benning and my old hometown of Columbus.

Living south of Atlanta I could count the number of significant snowfalls on one hand, with me living there off and on for 17 years. But yeah, it still gets cold, just not that snowy.

    The Walking Dead

I do remember when I was watching the last episode that Shane was probably getting tired of telling Lori that people in her family have been shot.

That was lampshaded when it was the girl on the horse telling Lori instead.

Anyway, I've never read the comics, but I'm loving the show, and I'm glad it's gotten renewed. I'm also glad Norman Reedus is playing Darryl, cause he's awesome!

  18. Congrats on the milestone!

Though I will agree, having less of a pure focus on huge multi-player interaction and more paths the soloer can take would be nice. (especially for those times when you can't for whatever reason find a party to do something worthwhile)
Conversely, I've never seen massive multi-player online as dictating I have to team with other people, I've always seen it meaning, "Hey you're playing this game and so are others." That's all.

Because of my work schedule I have weird playtimes, so I've never gotten into the "40 people raid = good" mindset of other MMO's I've played and I don't see the point of including it in here.

Yes, I get that the whole Marvel universe needs to band together to take out Thanos, though if Marvel remembered their own character's abilities, it should just take Longshot to take him out, (what's more pure of heart than saving the universe, after all?)

    Just my 2 Influence!
  20. Very awesome work.
Deathscythe was always my favorite from Gundam Wing, and you made it look great!

I'm thinking that was more a wink at the fans who also know that one of Norman Reedus' movie roles is a Catholic vigilante, especially since he was the first one to acknowledge it.
