No matter how many or how few players change the lightbulb it'll only need changing again. It's all a Nemisis plot.

I was looking at the vet rewards to see what I get for 48 months and something struck me as odd. When we got extra character slots I read that we got an extra slot for every year played. Indeed, I got 3 slots plus the bonus 2 for logging in within the specified time frame. Now, The way I read it was that we got one every year, not as a one off gift, but it appears that the only slot I get is for the 60 month reward. Can someone clarify this for me please?
[/ QUOTE ]
You get a slot for every 12 months. -
There's an existing thread in teh Comic and Hero/Villain Culture forum.
This forum is for CoH discussions, so please use the existing thread. -

Nice site!
Noticed one issue, there is a display problem when clicking the screens tab within the city of heroes page.
[/ QUOTE ]
I've not noticed a problem there myself (just checked with Firefox 3). Which browser and OS are you using, are they up-to-date? -
If you find any links on the CoH website that aren't pointing in the correct direction, please don't hesitate to let us know

(ie NCSoft fired them)

Redundancy isn't (quite) the same as being fired. I'll miss this place... -
Your best approach is to contact support and inform them of what happened, so they can take a look. We can't help you with billing related questions directly via the forums.

Back on-topic, please

7. Respect the opinions of others
Often times arguments cant be won, so if you have a contrasting opinion, please state it simply and clearly. If necessary, agree to disagree with others who may have differing opinions. When discussions turn to long, hostile arguments, the thread will be closed or removed.
Also, do not respond to others opinions by suggesting that they just quit or with the implication that they are just whining/crying. This is NOT constructive.

The forum clock is wrong also.
[/ QUOTE ]
Forum clock will fix itself when Europe enters daylight savings time at the end of the month. Unfortunately, due to the forum servers being hosted in the US and the US going into DST earlier than Europe, the times may be wrong for a while. -
I'm not going to get heavy handed and start chopping bits of this thread. However, while I know this is a topic in which there are distinct opposites of opinion forming, and those opinions are strongly held for many, there is never an acceptable reason for descending into making things personal.
Please stick to discussing the facts and opinions and please avoid getting personal in your arguments. -
I've snipped out the last little section here. Please try to keep all content posted to the forums in keeping with the age rating of the games (including keeping in mind that CoH was originally rated 12 and that this forum allows anyone aged 13+ with a valid account to register).

Few clarifications needed here, I see:
1. The boxed edition and the actual launch of Issue 14 will not necessarily occur simultaneously. I can say with certainty that march 12th is *not* the launch date for Issue 14.
2. Issue 15 does not have a release date, or even a release window, yet. Nothing has been officially stated. The rumour floating around that Issue 15 will coincide with the 5th anniversary is nothing more than that: a rumour. Most likely started by a very wild piece of speculation based on a comment made in an interview that had nothing to do with release dates at all.
3. EU Closed Beta for Issue 14 is imminent, and a global open beta will occur before Issue 14 is launched. -

You do have to wonder though, will we still get the free booster pack if we get the Architect edition as a download?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes. The digital version grants the free booster as well. -

2.Does anyone else feel that the introduction of M.A is the start of making CoH self sufficent and possibly making dev s redundant.
[/ QUOTE ]
Absolutely not. The Dev team has been expanding over the last year, and NCNC work exclusively on CoH.
Mission Architect is a wonderful system for allowing you all to express your creativity and tell your own stories in-game, but it isn't a replacement for what the Dev team have planned for the future. -
[ QUOTE ]
Its nice that they have as we still haven't had a sniff of the beta

It's coming. Look at the Training Room forum, some of the preliminary work has already been done with addition of 2 new EU Training Room servers.

This new box will only have a limited run even in the US. There's a lot that goes into deciding whether or not to produce a box. For the US, this box makes sense for very specific reasons that do not currently apply here in Europe.
For us here in Europe, this boxed version does not make good economic sense right now. I know you all want to see new boxes on the shelves, however this specific box, at this specific time, is not the right box for us to be trying to convince retailers to stock. -
There will be three episodes of Captain Dynamic, total. The Rooster Teeth guys have been given a bit of advance hands-on with Architect
-
Hi all,
Unfortunately there are currently no plans to release this in Europe as an actual box. Producing a box run is an expensive process, and there are other factors involved that will become clear in time (no, not server mergers or anything like that).
It will, however, be available via the PlayNC store. -
There are absolutely no plans to either close or modify the EU server structure at the current time.

I live in the UK, plaync provided me with a Natwest account to pay the monies into, I paid cash directly at my local Natwest branch, so your saying it takes over 6 days to receive a cash payment made directly into an account to show up on their system?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm saying that there are factors beyond simple "I made the payment on X date", of which I listed a few (but not all). Since I don't have access to the details of your payment, I did not comment on it specifically. -
It has been 6 full working days since you made the payment, which is still within the "several working days" that you were quoted.
Depending on how you make the payment, which bank you use and where you live, it can take some time before the payment is cleared into the NCsoft account and can be verified. Support cannot re-open your account until they have the payment verified. -
Cripes, the conspiracy theories are starting...
The restructure that has taken place is of course going to result in recruitment in the Development studios (and NCsoft West HQ). What's happened with the restructure is that many jobs that were previously handled in the NCsoft Europe and NCsoft Austin offices are now relocated to the development studios (ArenaNet, NCNC, and Carbine).
For example, Martin Kerstein (Guild Wars community, German) will be moving to the ArenaNet offices (assuming his visa application goes through). The studios will be hiring QA teams, localisation resources etc.
There's absolute nothing sinister to see in the fact the studios are hiring staff.
Edit: That community coordinator position is not for CoH. All community staff for CoH will be based in the NCNC offices, not Seattle. -

Last day for many, but not for all of us just yet. You'll have to put up with me for a little while longer yet.

How long for you, GR?

Can now let you know that I'll be here until the end of April.
