Luckily for me (and those that make use of this), I'm blessed with amazing memory.
The (small) gaps in memory are easily explained as natural over sight in memory of the character.

That said, I might use it to sort out which of my characters met certain characters... if I remember to use it

Well, if you go by this.. heroes are just as inadequate at their jobs as the PPD are.

Also, the villains aren't very effective either... how many buildings did they try to blow up and nothing really shows?

I've seen things stated in NPC dialoge that make no sense from an RP perpective. Should I work with that too?

The Devs have added flavour to game mechanics. Flavour, what flavour is up to the one tasting it.

If I want to take Rosa into the RWZ, I can't because she's lvl 31 as the highest. I can take her to Sirens... but only the 2 versions of her, is having a lvl8 version then a reason that it's not possible to even be in Bloody Bay?

We fudge a lot of things.. like there being crime on every corner of the street, and often enough between those too. Where do the criminals come from? it's fudged, though they're there in the game world, shouldn't we work with that?

You play your game with your IC assumptions, and I'll play my game with my IC assumptions. CL and SL don't excist in my IC assumption but when interacting and it comes up, I play along. That's right, I adabt


And if I want to make/play a lvl1 character who's been in in the RWZ getting chased by Rikti and Warwolves and has been to Warburg hunting Arachnids... I'm pretty sure you'd go along with that too.

One thing to remember when creating global channels, is that you can use more then one word as the name.
So you can have "The Toolbox" or "TheToolbox". Sending a message to them would require the following commands:

/send "the toolbox" I have something to say
and
/send thetoolbox I have something to say

Personally, I prefer the latter. Also because of the Dutch use of " requires a space typed after it to get it, as it holds the " for the addition of a letter, like e or a or o to create ë, ä and ö.

It's the reason I created GGOOC as GGOOC and not GG OOC.

Personally, I'm no longer a GGOOC member because of the silliness (and me not being the most social person), but I'd join a purpose channel like LFRP or similar.

Inaction is liable? Dear god, then everytime any hero passes by any mugging or what ever, they could be sued by the muggee?

No one has a right to tell anyone they shouldn't ignore someone for what ever reason.

For the same reason, I don't think people have the right to tell people how they should play their game, or RP their character.
If you don't think their concept is viable, ignore them. That's your choice.


Of course there will be "I r in ur base, stealing ur crabpacks, lulz" characters. But how many of them will be RPed?

I made my main with a minor reference to the Invisible Woman, mostly just the force fields as I had no idea who she was or what she could do beyond a basic understanding.
Grav Mistress was born.

Now, it seems that she has a lot in common, concept wise, with Zatanna, of who I had never head before this was linked to me.
Grav even has a costume not unlike the one Zatanna has, and that was quite by accident!
(edit: in fact, if anyone feels like altering the comic/loadsofbunnies picture so that she has blond hair, light green skin and glasses, that'd be great )

When I speak in English, I speak English. I don't use Dutch or Frisian words. Granted, I might be fishing for words at times and use the Dutch/Frisian/French word for it to see if it's the same or similar (and it usually is) before describing what I mean.

While cultural influences are all good and well, but it's about communication and that doesn't go too well when you need to ask a translation for every other word they say.

While I can understand it if you use titles for people, like mom and dad and such. Because you think of them in that way.
That said, I use 'mom' when speaking in English instead of 'mama', 'mam' (Dutch) or 'mem' (Frisian).
Maybe because I think and speak in 3 languages while I can type in 2.

The French Maid, is actually french and speaks a variaty of languages from French, English, Russian, German, various Arrabic languages (no idea what they're called, though... or if it's just one language) as well as conversational japaneese, thai, vietnameese, Korean, cantonees and mandarin.
Generally, she speaks English with a french accent, so I mix in french words, drop contractions and try to add a lighter sound to some vowels.


Grav Mistress is Dutch, and a scholar. She's fluent in Dutch, English, Greek, Spanish, Latin, German, French, Frisian and Egyptian. As for reading and writing it goes on and on also into demonic and runic languages.
Though because she's lived in the US for a while and English is easy for the Dutch, she has no accent, no odd words... just the occassional sentence construction error (which is not my intention )

I also follow Zortel's way of using other languages, except for the odd Dutch, German and French word.

Glitz – still masked

Wearing a striking white and black costume, Glitz is easily recognizable as a hero. Glitz is a hero dedicated to the magical arts but more so to helping her fellow men. She keep her identity secret to protect both herself and her convent of magical sisters. This convent is dedicated to helping people who have a direct need for help, where those victim of a crime seems to be the most common in this day, unfortunately. The convent passes their teachings on from mother to daughter, this includes the magical teachings as well as the moral teachings.
When asked what her most fond memory was, Glitz revealed that it was saving a citizen from a seemingly hopeless situation. That she tried none the less and succeeded is but a testament to her heroic dedication to saving even a single person against the odds.
No wonder, really, when you realise that she hopes to be seen in the same light as Ms. Liberty: Doing good because it is good, not because of personal fame or glory.
Underneath the mask is still a warm blooded woman that one day hopes to settle down a bit, have a daughter of her own to teach. But even then, she will be donning the costume and helping mankind.

Maybe not, but I think it's fair to say that 80% on that Wiki is RP related.
And that the rest is probably inbedded in the pages or just Wiki related support.

I imagine that a soap of sorts set in a world without supers would be fairly popular, if it has the right story backing.

Other then that, I think about 30% max of the Paragon (and there for world?) are super powered? Which would leave enough room for the nonsuperpowered to have a soap, but with the super powered twists, like the neighbour acting odd, is he a hero or a villain? One of the main or support characters gaining powers to attempt at milking the series for an other season or two and such...

Personally, I think comics in CoH are like they are in Real Life. Because CoH is real life with a twist, it's what people know, what comes natural.
That doesn't mean there can't be historically correct comics.


And yeah! Hero guest stars! Acting as themselves or even someone else... like today's heroes: the actors.

well, Superman's come up in some IC conversations I've had, as has Batman, which we all know is styled after Nevermore.

My main Grav Mistress has a "Mistress of Gravity" comic still running around the shops. Which isn't a documentation, more a spoof/inspired on thing. She got the story makers to put in details that are completely wrong to Grav's own personal life.
