Mission pre-planner?
FFM - have you hacked Miss Ellie and given her the Psychic Mastery Epic??
Please, please please!
*faints with excitement*
Assuming I know how to use it I'll definitely use it to structure my arc planning endeavours

Just had this thought after reading Syra's post about her worries over copyright etc:
If possible, could you design the interface to look something similar to the 'What If?' machine from Futurama please?
Actually it relates to what Crimson Archer and others said about letting the RP develop and seeing where a character who is a tribute to an existing one goes on their own.

On a similar-ish note, I've read posts from people saying that they'd like to create their character's backstory as a potential arc. How about a little 'What If?' collaborative effort?
For example: an arc based around "What if Miss Ellie had never bonded with a Kheldian" sort of thing? I know this is way too premature but I'm so excited.

Assuming I decided to go ahead and develop up such a program, what would be the interest in it? And if you like the idea, what other features do you think would be needed?

I'm really interested if you could make such a thing, and the feature I'd really like would be to save the data in a format that is easily transferable to forums for obvious reasons. i.e. A text/code splurge to publish your stuff to others like all good Hero Build Designers.
It takes Chaos to move the world to Action.
What about minimum teamsize, as an option for the creator, turning an arc into something slightly more like the Taskforce/Strikeforce minimum teamsizes?
This could reflect the danger of the big bad end boss, in that the player initiating it would likely need backup from worthy companions.
As for the programme itself, I am definately interested in it, if you were to make it.
OK, with the news that we're going to get a mission creator of some kind, it's given me the thought that maybe, just maybe, we could do with something to help us plan arcs and so on. Such a program could have the following features:
<ul type="square"> [*]Level Range [*]Mob Type[*]Map Type & Size[*]Opening dialog[*]NPC dialog[*]Mission Objectives[*]Clues[*]Completion dialog (for success or failure)[*]Story arc support with branching options at each start point to specific missions (Presuming they give us the branching feature in the creator).[/list]
Such a program would, of course, only store the actual story dialog/descriptions. It wouldn't actually be able to create the missions themselves; but it would, I think, be a great aid towards laying out our story arcs prior to actually creating them in-game. Then it could just be a matter of copy & pasting.
Assuming I decided to go ahead and develop up such a program, what would be the interest in it? And if you like the idea, what other features do you think would be needed?
