First off please excuse me if there is a thread for this. I spent 30+ minutes searching for it. So PLEASE don't post a link to it. LOL
Many of the things I would have loved to see have come to pass. One I would love to happen, oh I don't know perhaps for the 75th month (hehe) would be similar to the 60 month reward. The 60 month reward grants early access to travel powers- something everyone wants. What I would like to see for a upcoming reward would be early access to costume auras. After playing this game for soooooo long, I would truely appreciate this. This would make the journey to lvl 30 seem a bit softer for those altoholics like myself. Perhaps a reward allowing capes at lvl 10 and auras at lvl 20. Hell I would settle for getting both 5 lvls earlier. LOL

I made a few odd ones.
The three I play most often are my PB, "Ghost Drive". He's suppose to be an skeletal android housing a 'bio-matrix' capable of faking a host body for the lil' squidling.
My second WS is "Razorbeam". A flashy full body/face black outfit and skin with white 'dagger print' on the chest and lower body.
The other is a PB, "Leading Lady". A tragic mixing of magic and science via 5th Column whackos who brought a leading lady from the silver screen of old Hollywood back to pseudo-life. She has a retro look in shades of grey (including her skin).
All three are "human form onlys".
I was hoping to make a crab form only one for the City of Gaymers' A.Q.U.A. Sg.
"Ghost Crab" was taken so I am still mulling over names for him/her/it/crabbykins.

I too am disappointed. I am disappointed that you have not even given it a chance.
I have been playing this game for 5, yes 5 years. All I can say is I went to HeroCon. I saw what they had to offer and heard what little tidbits they could leak out- knowing there was so much more that was unsaid.
Before I went to HeroCon I was a bit worried about the future of the game. After the Con I left with a feeling of renewel and vindication. I can now say with all conviction, "Champions Online? Did they bury that next to Betamax or Cassette tapes?"
Disappointed? No, not by any means.
Hopeful? Yes- on all accounts (including my 2 CoX accounts).

Quote:Same here. It has made me hesitant to use WW's when not soloing.I just crashed accessing WW... I wish that would get hit with a serious optimization, every time I access one of the WW employees (or the BlackMarket Redside) My harddrive takes a field trip and goes nuts, the game freezes and stays froze until it either crashes or loads up the market window.

A random bit of oddness:
During a Positron TF yesterday, I attemtped to call Positron. I had forgetten that I had DC'd and was no longer the leader. As you all know when you attempt to call the TF/SF contact and are not the leader you will not be able to 'speak' to them. What happened instead was a 'notepad' like window popped up adjacent to the contact window. I had not hit any extraneous keys. It was obvious that my attempt to call the contact did it. I was unable to access the text box as the game froze and I had to attempt to close the game to get out.

Quote:I often find myself feeling like Perry the Platypus. They are oblivious to the fact that it was the defender that keep the ball rolling. Then you're probably not missing much. All Defenders bring a lot to a team, and a team that doesn't realise that is a bad team.
I use to be defendocentric (TM). 90% of my intitial heroes were defenders. They buff, buff they debuff, they heal, they control, they rez, they pick off the stragglers and toss all those unneeded skittles to their teammates.
Some of us don't need the limelight, we just have a job to do and we do it.

Quote:"Aesthetic annoyances?!"
IMHO the crab backpack is not a mere annoyance. It's the reason I made one! I understand not everyone likes the backpack, different strokes and all that, but that's why we have Banes.
I did not bother rushing to level 50 with heroes as I am a confirmed altaholic. HOWEVER when I discovered I could have a character with, get this... A CRAB PACK I actually created a main villain and did my best to reach level 50 just for that reason alone. I totally agree with Steel Shaman. I was with you until you committed heresy against the church of the crablegs.

Quote:I too found this annoying. You can imagine however how there COULD be a sudden spike in popularity in FF'ers if this were possible. The limitation while a downer is understandable. It would be game breaking both in PvE and in PvP (PvP being the lesser issue).

Quote:Sure, Corruptors have better blasts. On the other hand, Defenders have better buffs.
Since when does any remotely competent player turn down anyone for a team anyway? I'd figure defenders and corrs would be pretty much interchangeable.
I am curious how much better are the buffs/blasts...exactly. This might sway me one way or the other.
Also yes... as a defender I have often been turned down if I was not a specific type of defender (kinetics or rad for example) on MANY a TF.

Quote:This is what I was thinking. Offer those who bought the booster a new temp power- say for example a potion you can drink that offers YOURSELF (not another) a random mini buff.Or open up the super tailor to everyone since it was a horrible idea to include in the Booster in the first place. Players shouldn't have to pay in order to replicate a thematic choice they already have.
Otherwise, I'm all for the change. Though it would be nice if the visual didn't stray too terribly far from what exists now.
I read the post about using a bind earlier for the change. This would be most helpful to appease many.

Quote:I understand what you are saying but some people don't have the time to just rerun it. He already made a lot of effort to unlock, gather a STABLE team and do it. The dog REALLY DID eat his homework and they own the dog. It's a matter of principle and a waste of his time. It's not like Hess is a terribly long TF. Just re-run it.
I can see getting mad over not getting credited for a Doc Q TF, but for a 30 min Hess?

I totally feel for you. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I called them <BEEP> after hearing that "...it is not our policy". I would then say to my fellow team members, "Oh I guess their policy is poor customer service."
If I had the power to change one thing about the game it would not be to correct the original TFs or to remove the oldest yet still unresolved bugs or anything like that. It would be to change the "customer no-service" policy to something more attractive than Champions Online or WoW offers.

Defenders? Are those anything like controllers or blasters?

Quote:EVERYTHING he just said...It should also be noted that if you are leaping, flying through the air and get hit by a knockback/knockdown attack, Grounded will not help prevent it. As the name of the power implies, you need to be close/on the ground in order to resist that particular affect.
If that annoys you, using a knockback resist IO in your build will cover you for the most part unless you get stacked knockbacks on you. And if this annoys, then you should think about getting Acrobatics.
Is Grounded skippable? Well, it depends on what you can live with. If you are getting into the Leaping pool for travel power (SJ) and a little more defense and aerial maneuverability (CJ) maybe you can work in Acrobatics as well.
For me, I couldn't stand it so worked in Acrobatics because part of my playstyle involves jumping around for taunting and positioning.
And as the others have mentioned, Grounded also provides other functionality that make it worthwhile to pick up.
LOL

Quote:I concur..I tend to use a layered approach when protecting my computer:
Avast
SpywareBlaster by Javacool
Windows Defender
Comodo Firewall
MalwareBytes AntiMalware
-all behind a router.
I recently contracted a terrible case of 'OMG MY COMPUTER!!!' after my nephew's visit. I was unable to get anywhere with my old standby AVG. Avast's was able to remove 5 of the 6 infections. No other antivirus was able to locate and remove them. The free online scan offered by BitDefender, while unable to help me with the previous 5, did scour the last one.

Quote:I concur.... I also believe your stalker not only has the scrappers crit but hide and placate. No one can have everything because if they did, my controller wants MM pets.Actually, I talked to quite a few scrapper players who were irritated that Stalkers were getting better at crits which was "supposed" to be scrappers "special thing".

Quote:You probably want Seismic Smash!! Most damaging single target controller power there is, plus it'll hold a boss in one hit. It's super. Personally I wouldn't be bothered too much with Earths Embrace since you're Empathy anyway. I'd take Fissure, Seismic Smash and Rock Armour (once you're prepared for the uglyness of the poo armour). Rock Armour gives you a better chance of avoiding smashing & lethal attacks and any nasty associated mezzes or debuffs they might have.
Fissure and Seismic Smash are a given. I do recommend Rock armor. However if the looking pooped issue bothers you as it does for some, earth embrace would be a great choice. As Carnifax said, you are empathy so skip it and get the Spore burst you wanted. Personally I love the hurling boulder power. If memory serves, it accepts good IO sets with nice bonuses for just 2 or 3 enhancers that might not be available to your other ranged powers. So look into that power if the 'poomantle' power does not strike your fancy/theme.
