Sup,
I can't figure out where a villain is suppose to get a cape mission anymore.
Used to be that Kalinda/Burke gave the mission at lvl 20, but I just brought my brute to Rogue Isles from Praetoria and I can't figure this **** out at all.
I found Kalind and Burke in the revamped Mercy, but they're just telling me to go away.
WTF is going on lol. -
I logged in today after a long period of inactivity (interest: fading) ,decided to do newspaper missions with CoT and check the tailor for costume pieces.
Wanted to type why the whole CoT re-design was a big fail, but others already did it better. So I will just quote DumpleBerry.

Quote:Lol, yay. Also asked about Kheldians sucking, Posi said it's bring addressed.
Quote:Someone asked about more alternate animations for current sets. Response was that the 'animation team' is 2 people and 'visual fx team' is 2 people. Basically, not enough resources to do a bunch of cool new stuff while also revamping all the old stuff.
Quote:I asked about rifle models proliferated to all rifle sets. They said some wouldn't make sense, I said flamethrower out of sniper rifle doesn't make sense, Posi then said it's not as easy as just porting them over.
...
Bah I expected more exciting info from PAX than this tbh. I don't give a fudge about barbarians, I want military pack damn it. No interesting screenshots, no dates, no info on new powersets and no excitement. -
Lol.
This is interesting, I'm suppose to fly to D.C. in few weeks. Hope nothing severe is going down there.
Then again, I heard a hurricane is going to sweep east coast of Florida "off the face of the earth."
So.....cheers!

Quote:My first thought was cockroaches and a banana peel complete with brown spots.Slighly more seriously, it's a mage in a brown robe. How does that look like poo?
Not because of the colors though (at least primarily), but because of those "robes" hanging from their butts. I don't know, they just look a little bit insect-like in those pictures with all that layered stuff and exposed legs. -
-
Are those before the paragon market went offline?
When I log to the beta it shows that I'm not VIP, plus I don't have access to tokens.
Also does anyone have any in-game pics of the new CoT? -
-
Quote:Lol.
If we get all of those costume pieces I can dress up as a Christmas tree when the next Christmas event comes around. -
After digesting a little bit and nearly making through the entire thread (page 16), I'm still not sure what to think of the revamp of the revamp.
I do like the bosses. They have this high-level-zealot-look going on with ceremonial armor which is appropriately flashy. The pope hat is a nice add too. Agony Mage is my personal favorite.
As for the rest of the NPCs, not really a fan. Haven't really seen the "robes" (if you can call them that) up close, but to me, judging by these current pictures, they look like layered armor and thights. The Minion looks especially iffy to me. I know they're trying to have "robes" that both players and CoT can wear, but these don't really look like robes to me personally.
The NPCs look insanely buff to me as well.
Again, I haven't seen the models up close and in-game, so I'm going by the pictures I've seen.
Bottom line, I still prefer the current in-game versions.
Edit:
Damn, I'm going to miss those brown robed minions.... -
Ehh.... well at least the bosses look ok.
I don't really know, some of those NPCs look ok while some of the designs look very flashy and "busy" for my taste. Glad they at least worked on the original revamp designs...
Edit:
Damn those CoT guys are ripped. -
Late reply is late, but here's some pictures, if you still wanna see em.
Mine are T4, Assault Drone and Laser Drone. Picture of some of their blast and cone attack (the blue plasma cloud.)

I'm not gonna be indecisive, therefore I'll just pick one, Dr. Vazhilok.
I'm a kool kid.....and so is Dr. Vazhilok.
Lol, the real reason is that he's the first archvillain I was introduced to. Nowadays I've seen them all, but none of them are as wicked and cool as Vazhi. I mean the dude is so skilled that he's been able to create a battle armor out of dead flesh, that's pretty damn sweet and creepy at the same time. Sometimes I even wonder if it's really an armor he's "wearing" or did the guy just stitch his severed toso to a lump of flesh.
I remember picking this game up in 2005 at the age of 17. I got the boxed DVD edition from a Finnish game retailer. When I got home I started digging through all the shiz inside the box and I found the Blue King Coh Comic Issue 1 inside. I began to read the issue while the installer was running and man I was getting so pumped to face this guy! -
Mercy mission revamp, good, hopefully they got rid off all those snake missions.
Also it's kinda funny how I forget there are faces behind those developer names. lol -
Yes! More generic armor!
-
-
Just had a little bit of fun with Slime aura and /e collapse.
We have trooper down!
-
Finally got the damn thing.
I had secure browsing disabled, I enalbed, unenabled and nothing.
What seemd to help was changing my language preference. lol -
Rebecca Black killed my family and destroyed my village, that's why I'm bitter.
-
Interesting concept, but I will have to wait and see how it works in practice.
Not really feeling a "yay" or a "nay." Guess I'll just wait and see how this turns out.
I'd be OK if I could just pick the rewards I want. I would drop the kilts, bellyshirts, Greek alphabets, bonus sprint powers and all that other useless crap and get something useful instead.
I presume the armor in the screenshots is da Tier 9 reward along with the wings. Another generic armor set, great, can hardly wait.
Edit:
Oh yeah the wings, reminds me of a certain Blizzard game. -
Don't really care if people cut scene bomb in general, afaik there are only two instances where it's properly possible, Honoree cinematic on LGTF and the marauder cinematic on LAM.
You can sort of bomb the Romulus cutscene. Personally I just Alt-Tab when the cinematic starts.
I have bombed the LGTF cutscene many times, because I need to take Honorees agro after I destroy the generators anyway.
But I've never done it on LAM and never will. If a person decides to do it, then there's a big chance he/she will be forced to leave the instance without seeing the drop table.
It is not all SRS business though, we will laugh at the tells afterwards. -
I'm late to the party, but do you guys know if that PC gamer gamer issue is still available in magazine racks? Might aswell check it out if it is.

Quote:Yeah you tell em girl....Haters, said I'll see you later
Can't talk to you right now
I'm getting my paper
Said I'm doing big things
Things you never dreamed of
I hope you are happy cause I'm 'bout to blow up
Edit:
Wow, I didn't know the story behind "Friday."
One interview included an accoustic version sung by her and it was pretty sad to look at, not to mention listen. -
Quote:Lol.
That said, it can sometimes go too far. I'm not a big fan of a micromanaging league leader. As long as everyone knows their roles and things get done I don't think someone should be screaming out commands every spawn, which some leaders will do. To me it's just as annoying as someone spamming gibberish or cut scene bombing.
Back when we used to organize ITFs more frequently we used to joke around that "we need a scrapper to lead this TF" because I've met so many scrappers (strangely) who want to act as a know-it-all leader.
Even nowadays I still bump into players who want to tell me every single aspect of an ITF, something everyone has been speeding for God knows how long.
Go here, move up, go straight, go right, go outside, stay here, bring her to the altar etc.
That's usually a cue for me to go lone wolf if I'm already familiar with the tf/trial.
