Quote:I don't remember ever doing this TF before, but i just noticed that GATE-keeper already has Portal Smasher. How does one forget doing a 5 hour TF? Like last week, I did not remember ever doing Sara Moore, but didn't get the badge when we finished b/c I already had it. Must have done these a llooonnnngg time ago.
Anyway, since GATE already has the badge, I'll be bringing Statesdude, my Eng/WP brute since he needs the xp.Quote:Like how you put GATE up on the sign up twice :P. I might bring my MA/WP scrap instead, he'll be in the mid '40's by then and he could really use the xp. -
Also if you're having trouble finding players ... are all your new characters in Praetoria? You might have better luck finding players in Paragon City or the Rogue Isles. If all your characters are low level, you might be better off re-rolling them in PC or RI.

Quote:Not following the reasoning there. Surely you don't need any more Notices on him? I mean, Ironblade is done with the Incarnate slots (until we get the new Lore pets) and he has six Notices lying around.
And that's not counting redoing Spiritual. I went Radial, but now I think I should have gone Core. -
Since it's the WST, I'll bring GATE-keeper (Inv/SS tank).

Mid's says Air Superiority's casting time is 3.3 seconds, but in game info and Red Tomax shows casting time as 1.5 seconds.
Anyone know of any other errors in mid's? -
Quote:She's impervious to that, despite being Natural origin.
That also explains why she can fly and is bullet-proof and super-strong . . . um . . . -
Quote:From 4 in the morning til noon is 8 full hours. That gives you plenty of time to $#!7, shower and shave and be there by one pm.hmmm well this is what happens when one goes to bed at 3 or 4 in the morning.. <hangs head in shame>
Well, it gives ME plenty of time..... -

Just to clarify, this is in addition to the normal Sat 1pm TF, not replacing, right? IIRC, you mentioned in another thread that Eden would be that week's Sat afternoon TF.
Either way works for me. I don't have a preference for which day/night we pick. -
Quote:I have played this game on and off from the beginning. I have ALOT of characters (I'm an altaholic). I was noticing last night of all my characters I have no level 50s!!! All my character stop around level 32. My highest is 42.
Once you hit around 30 how do you guys do it. It just seems like I hit a brick wall and leveling speed starts to slow WAY down.
I have played very little in AE. Most of my time in game is in story arcs or radio missions. Sadly I have to solo alot too. With family obligations I have to get up at a moments notice from the computer and it is just easier to not group. I wouldnt want to hold others back because I have to AFK for 10 mins ;(.
Is there something I'm doing wrong or does anyone have any suggestions. Or since Im solo I just have to suck it up ;D.Quote:Yes. You're focusing on how fast you level. As long as that is foremost in your mind, the game will seem tedious and grinding. If you focus on enjoying the gameplay, the speed at which you level will seem irrelevant.
Another trick I use: park a particular character for 10 days. This maxes out patrol xp. Then when you come back, you get to the next level 50% faster. -
** Conspiracy Theory **
:P
Maybe this is the "real" reason Incarnate Abilities were removed from GR? Because they wanted to block Incarnate Abilities from anyone but paying customers and didn't want to deal with premium players who would say "but I purchased GR and you [Paragon] said I could use anything I purchased, therefore you have to let me use Incarnate Abilities."
I lub me sum conspiracy theories! -

Short answer: if you connect with your secondary's Tier 1, then for the next 10 seconds, you (and everyone else on who hits that target) will do 20% more damage to that target.
So, yes, it does help a tank solo. Not quite as good as vigilance for a solo'er, but still helpful.
So whatever you do, when you're picking your powers, make sure you do NOT skip your secondary's Tier 1! -
Tuesday June 28th at 10 pm Eastern, The Fall of the Clockwork King (aka Synapse Task Force)
Level 15+, minimum 4 to start, yeah, it's a long one, but it rewards a whopping 58 merits.
If you'd like to reserve a spot, please leave your global, toon name and AT.
1. @GATE-keeper: N-TREPID (Rad/Sonic Fender)
2. @R-Tech: Stormpath (Elec/Cold Troller)
3. @Ellscry: Neuropotence (Mind/Psi Dom)
4. @AdAstra: Winter Shock (Ele/Ice Troller) or Brighid (Fire/Ice Blaster)
5. @EverythingXen: Xensational (Arachnos Soldier)
6. @Dr. Watson1: time 4 pat-down (MA/WP Scrap)
7. @Nurse Donna: Radiant Lite (Ill/Rad troller)
Since the purpose of doing these is to help each other level alts, we're going after xp, so we won't typically speed or stealth thru the mishes. We won't treat every mish as a Kill All, but we will kill it if it's in our way. -
And a great time was had by all! I just dinged 14 before we started and made it almost a full bar into 20 by the time we finished. I'll start another thread for next week.

Quote:Reactive for Tankers: Core vs RadialHas anyone been able to figure out whether the dot from the Reactive Core does more damage than the extra damage you would do with your other powers if you used the Reactive Radial? Obviously it depends on the resistance levels of your enemies, and on their debuff protection, but theoretically, you could do more damage overall with the Radial than with the Core.
I'd appreciate any input. I can't afford to build both so as to test it yet. -
Thanks Bill, that worked!
Also, apparently Excel doesn't like "["..... -
Apologies for the necro
, if this is covered somewhere else, feel free to direct me.
For some reason or another, when I try to put the above formula into Excel, I get an error.
I found from other threads that the quoted part should be RoundUp, not Round. Got that.
Here's what I'm trying to put into Excel:
= [RoundUp(B87/0.132) + 1] * 0.132
where B87 is just the cell reference for where I have casting time stored
When I do so, I get an error message saying "The name you entered is not valid" and then it specifies that the function RoundUp takes a number and num_digits as arguments.
Anyone know how I would modify the above formula to make it work?
(I guess the issue is that the latest version of Excel has a different RoundUp function than the one Arcana used in 2009 in the OP?) -

If there's enough interest, I would like to spend the next 6 Tuesday evenings running the Freedom Phalanx TF's which award the Task Force Commander accolade, not the mention the Epauletes costume piece, which is - of course - the real reason people run these thing, amirite?
We'll start Tuesday June 21st at 10 pm Eastern with Posi 1 (Level 10+, minimum 3 to start, 11 merits) and Posi 2 (Level 11+, 3 to start, 15 merits). If you'd like to reserve a spot, please leave your global, toon name and AT.
1. @GATE-keeper: N-TREPID (Rad/Sonic Defender)
2. @AdAstra: Winter Shock (Ele/Ice Troller) or Incarnate Shadow (Warshade)
3. @R-Tech: Stormpath (Troller)
4. @Ellscry: Neuropotence (Mind/Psi Dom) Or somthing
Edit: Since the purpose of doing these is to help each other level alts, we're going after xp, so we won't typically speed or stealth thru the mishes. We won't treat every mish as a Kill All, but we will kill it if it's in our way. -
I'll be there with GATE-keeper, Inv/SS tank.
