Why do I feel like I'm the only person that just isn't impressed with jolting chain whatsoever. It seems like everybody on here can't imagine skipping the power, but I respecced out of it fairly early. Is there something I'm just not seeing? I'm a level 27 elec/rad btw.

Hey, I'd like to enter the contest
I have a level 50 Warshade. His name is Warp Wasp. His backstory is sort of similar to that of the Blue Beetle if you're familiar with DC comic characters. I've had him for quite a while now and enjoy playing as him, but have never had the necessary inf to do anything beyond basic IOing for him. I don't get to play the game as much as I used to and the times that I can play are pretty erratic and tend to be during low peak hours. I can't play on the weekends at all really, so I have trouble finding tfs etc for him to run for merits/random drops to get more inf to ever hope to purple him. I enjoy playing Warshade and have seen the destruction purpled ones can dish out and always wish I could achieve those types of results from my Warshade, especially since I don't achieve them on any of my characters let alone one of my favorite archtypes lol. Maybe you can make my dream a reality if you pick me as a winner for your contest. Thanks for taking the time to read my entry and I hope your contest goes well!
Here's a picture of my Warshade: http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/3...0812133913.jpg -
Hey all, I currently have 1.5 billion infamy on freedom that I'd like to trade for influence. Preferably in large amounts if possible. If anyone is interested, let me know. Thanks!
-
Meh, my rad/em is all single target and I'm diggin it. But then again I like being mainly a boss killer on teams and I plan to pvp with him and wanna use as little respecs as possible lol
-
I c wut u did thar! The only one that really fits though is Lightning Storm since it's actually a tier 9 power and even then it doesn't because the power is highly useful all the time.
-
Well, my build is pure humanform and I plan to spend a decent amount of influence on him. Nothing crazy yet like purples or lotgs really unless some drop for me. I like to play my warshade like a scrapper usually lol
-
Hey there, I am trying to plan out my warshade's respec now that he's lvl 50 and I was wondering how important penumbra and twilight shield are if you have eclipse? In the build I can't even fit penumbra in until 35 and twilight until 41 and was just wondering if there's even a need for them due to eclipse. Although I'm not sure what I'd take instead. I guess maybe assault and tactics? idk
-
Hey, just wondering if I should slot accuracy into eclipse or not because I don't think I've ever seen anyone mention it in their slotting for the power. Thanks!

the response i expected to get.... Stalkers QQ more than anyone.... you have the only power in the game that costs 0 endurance.... You are the only Archetype that has a for sure crit... You have placate...
[/ QUOTE ]
Taunt and related powers cost no endurance, so you're wrong there. Widows and Soldiers have guaranteed crits, so again you're wrong there. Widows and Soldiers also have Placate.
[ QUOTE ]
I dont think PPP powers should crit under any circumstances.
[/ QUOTE ]
Again, you're wrong there. Go play a Stalker and let me know how you do, then come back and whine about Stalkers. Wanna beat a Stalker? Keep moving. Stalkers are quite possibly the only AT where the best counter against them costs players literally nothing except use of the W, A, S, and D keys.
[/ QUOTE ]
i have played a lvl 50 stalker... so i know.... keep moving? when you can get ET'd with a crit? stunned.... stalker goes into hide again... and if you have moved away they shark you for another ranged crit....
Im not an idiot... and dont get me started on VEATS.... really when compared to HEATS.... its just sad...
Sharks should not crit.... they are over powered for a PPP attack... when you count in the crit...
Stalkers are one of the easiest archetypes to play... there is a small learning curve... not as easy as it seems... but with stealth and the IO.... its pretty damn easy... -

THERE HAD BETTER BE STORM CORRUPTORS.

/Storm Corruptors... done.

noooooo /trick arrows pleeeeaaaaase
seriously, trick arrows. NOW -
I feel like this is a really bad change. I mean, what if people have to leave part way through the tf/sf or their power goes out or who knows what and people just drop and you go below the number needed to start. Doesn't that screw over the remaining members of the tf/sf? That isn't very fair to them now is it?

[ QUOTE ]
No kidding.
Let me know when someone on the Dev team "adapts" the ability to Phase Shift since you all are living organisms too.
Lazy answer.
[/ QUOTE ]
yeah no kidding. At this point I'd have more respect for them if they just said "because we felt like doing it this way." -

Well I see the idea but I think it's just too' lazy of the Devs not explain why he can now hit you though PS.
I think a better fix would've been to just make him ignor anything that's PSed. PAs included. That would solve the tanking prob.
[/ QUOTE ]
He's a living organism; he adapted to his environment.
[/ QUOTE ]
Our characters are living organisms. How come we can't "adapt" and do similar things as hami? -
Well, I want to use it mostly for zone pvp. prolly Warburg and RV mostly. And usually I'm solo when I pvp because not many of my friends like to pvp and I usually have a hard time finding pvp teams anyway. Would I be better off with medicine, leadership, or concealment for that? Also, how useful is disruption arrow really for pvp since it doesn't stick to the intended target like acid does. And I notice your sample build didn't have ice or EMP arrows. I can somewhat see not having ice, but EMP seems like it would still be pretty useful in pvp situations.
-
I see a few problems with your build. Such as only 2 recharges in disruption. I'd figure if you take it you'd want it to be up as much as possible. Also, why slot ice arrow for slow? The slow on it isn't very much. It's sort of just a nice added effect of the power, but the real benefit of it is the hold. Personally, I'd replace those slows with recharges especially since after glue arrow, they are gonna be about as slow as it gets. Another thing is 3 slotting combat jump for jumping barely does anything. You'd be better off putting those 2 slots somewhere else. As for your aid self, I noticed you have hami-o's throughout the build but you decided not to use at least 1 golgi on aid self and instead you slotted an end reducer. You'll want at least 2 interrupt reducers in aid self to reliably use it in pvp. I suggest slotting 2 interrupt, 2 recharge, 2 golgi for overall effectiveness. Hope I've been some help to you and let me know how you end up doing in pvp!
-
okay, but in case you didn't notice, I'm sort of free on slots. what else should I put the slots into then? just more end reducers in stuff that isn't max slotted yet? more travel speeds? any suggestions?
-
well, it's either gas or ice and idk if ice will really do too much in normal zone pvp situations. and EMP is just fun usually =P especially on MM's lol

Shouldn't this be considered off topic by now? I don't think the devs want feedback on wether or not the set has good sound effects lol
-
Well, so far after 19 levels of dark/dark, I'm not having any end problems at all. I slotted an end reducer in each toggle and I only run the toggles that I need for the particular fights that I am in. My attacks consist of smite, shadow maul, assassin's eclipse, and the occasional siphon life. So far the only time I've really run low on end is when I end up aggroing more than 1 group due to them being so close to each other and I then need to scrap it out more. A dark/dark stalker will definately need to be played hit and run more so than some of the other stalker sets if you don't want to have end issues. The devs should really consider lowering the end costs on stalker dark melee attacks to compensate for the lack of dark consumption though. But overall, I'd say that dark/dark is pretty sweet. I'm loving it anyway
-
You know, to be honest, I actually have always liked the DA SFX, and even joke about them with teammates that tend to not enjoy them very much lol. One of my dark armor characters was named "Black Noize"
-
Well, gone through 18 levels of dark melee so far for stalkers and I am loving it so far. I've picked up every dark melee skill except shadow punch. I'm probably going to end up dropping siphon life on live. The endurance is pretty high and I've found I don't need the miniscule heal all that often, and it's not like it fits into an attack chain all that well really. I noticed something on the power list when I hovered the mouse over midnight's grasp. It said Superior Damage (Negative), but it made no mention of DoT. Is it possible that stalker midnight grasp isn't a DoT and is 100% frontloaded damage? Can anyone confirm my speculations? Anyway, so far I am loving dark melee for stalks and I am ripping through enemies very easily
anyone else loving the set as much as me?
-
Well, so far I have played a DM/DA stalker to lvl 18 and I have to say that I am fairly impressed so far. I have taken every skill from dark armor so far (thanks to the temp travel powers from mayhem missions which let me focus on my skills rather than power pools). Being a stalker with a combo of defense and resist has really upped my survivability. I know the defense buff from hide + shadow dweller probably isn't amazing, but so far it's allowed me to rehide while under attack and it seems to combo well with dark melee's -ACC. I haven't really noticed any problems with endurance yet as long as I manage my toggles wisely and only run what's necessary. The only real drawback to the set that I can see right now is the lack of a more useful self heal and the absense of a really uber lvl 38 power. Is anyone else liking dark armor for stalkers so far or am I the only one?
