Right, here's a reason for all those around my level in the coalition to put the pedal to the metal in terms of leveling.

Ok,SO here's the thing. If you've been reading the GD forum, on a thread about S4 CHampions, I went off topic and started talking about a new tournament. People have offered to help organise and there seems to be alot of interest, so I figured I best start forming a team now

If anyone who would be interested in taking part in some pvP action, which will include leveling into heavyweight range in the group ( + Crossfire! We're hitting 50 together ya see... infact + anyone my level... just rememebered all ranger ding! ) and roling a new char for batamweight. The batamweight should be most interesting as we can really tailor the team.

The only essential requirements needed to be on my team would be being able to use Team speak and be in the coalition. ANYONE who is interested at any realistic level and for either class, drop me a PM. I figured I best get in early, see. I want the best and most fun team possible! ANd for that I could go no where else ecept the one AT coalition!

Means I could add in build up as I only have aim at the moment and possibly somethingg from the power pools to supplement PvP actin. If going elec/elec need to note end drain is not much use there.

I'd suggest keeping hasten and SS in both for PvE and PvP.

I've slotted all my attacks with 2 recharges meaning they're mostly up fairly quick and I can get a decent attack chain going from mob to mob (after Power boost, aim, Buildup, to mobs have just been one shotted). However against toguher targets in PvE (Bosses, AVs the like) and PvP (Scrappers, tankers, brutes) you are going to need your strongest attacks up asap so that you don't allow mobs/players that you arn't controlling to get the jump on you. Hasten allows them up quicker, meaning you can kill the beasty quick and get back to controllling other foes. It's all aboput working out how to stay alive.

SS is useful here as it not only allows you to get away quickly but it allows you to get in quick to, doing a hit and run on a target. With the combo mentioned earliar I can one shot one mob, turn around and one shot a second before the mob have got their act together about where I am (as since I entered melle the melee weapons get out and they start chasing). Then I can get my holds and power thrust out and clean up the rest of the mob. SS makes a great blapper Alpha strike

I'm toying with the idea of putting in 5 blasters... and maybe two or 3 defenders on top... Hmmm.... those 2 are by far my fave ATs ya see...

Dualitst: level 12-21
Soloist: level 22-31
Nukers/Grinders: Level 32 -40 (for want of a better name)

Blue and yellow: a little vibrant (plus the temptation to make a PP would be too great)

I reckon we perhaps give people more freedom. The SGs colours can be black and white but we allow each player to pick one colour to make their toon unique. Hell, we could all have one colour each!

Dark Blast in my opinion is a fantastic set, especially if you want to be (De)Buff/'Defender' orientated, as it has many useful debuffing powers.

You would be better with Assault rifle for a short while, where you were familiar with it, and would know the powers to choose.

Both of these sets are apparently very fun.

Both of these sets are equally evil.

It all depends on: If you want to be more uber, especially in the later lvls, then pick dark, but if you want to possibly look better, go with Assault Rifle.

Other things going for the Assault Rifle, are the RP friendlyness. Dark and Cold don't go together, as a superhero normally has one power, or two that are similar, eg Storm/Elec.
'Techno' moves go with anything.
eg: A robotics mastermind can have any secondary set, without feeling stupid, as the robots could be a gadget, and the power could be his real Power.

So Assault Rifle goes with anything.
Another way of solving this, if you have your heart on Dark, is to simply make your origin Technology.
But this would make it pretty necessary to have an armoured/metal/robotic costume, or at least bulky metal Gloves.

I'd personally go with Assault Rifle.

It could even be science origin; the villain may have conducted an experiment on himself to make him more powerful. THis would hit pretty dam well as dark/col is a damn powerful set what ever you want to do (you could have the -acc effectively stacking with the +def of cold and you can debuff the enemy and give them hell from range)

You know it makes sense! Personally, I'd take dark/cold. And, nowI probably will have to go roll one!

Because Energy is a much more common damage type than fire dmage and the cold resitant is very minor. Think about it; it's only sets with fire( bar the odd power in a few) that have fire damage as their primary kind along with smashing and lethal, where as Energy, electric (which has no smashing or lethal), Rad and Sonic all primarily do energy damage. Seeing as you resist more attacks, it makes sense

I love how there seem to be so many powers and combinations for Ice/ENrgy that are regarded as must haves for PvP. My PvP build is VERY different from yours, yet it is incredibly, tight, I'm extremely happy at it and I have had it approved my some very experienced PvPers. Interesting that. Just a quick thought

Am I right in thinking that power boost doubles the buffs of aim and Buid up. It certainly seems that way when I use it. SO surely you should take it earliar? That, is if I'm actually right. I did get that infomation originally from Amazing Shnyet

I love the idea of the Rads but I REALLY want to focus on Rogue. SInce you guys are near 50 now, it may not be worth starting one seriously yet. Like I said before, by the time I hit easter, It'll be alongside Radoulos!

Hey are we talking purely PvE with these guys, so that we can take down the many uber beatsies in the game with the style and flair that only Rad/rads can? Or am I allowed to have a single target PvP build
