  2. Or the LRSF where you are instantaneously killed, repeatedly, and fail every time?

    Fixed that for you.
  4. You can't have "Arrowminded" on Virtue but maybe you can get it on another server. It's an archery/mental blaster, of course.
  5. I... I think I might be losing my nerdhood.

I no longer rage at movies getting superheroes "wrong".

I don't get it either. I've soloed him with all my characters, practically all kinds of ATs.

    Children

There aren't any gas stations either. Or churches.

Penny Yin is young but not a "child" (depending on how you wish to define it). Penelope is a child.

We can't play children because you have to be an adult to get a hero license. Arachnos won't issue villain licenses to kids either no matter how evil they are. Lord Recluse refuses to believe that a kid can be his chosen one - mostly because of the implications of those words.

My solution is to not play 8-year-olds.
  8. My guess is that they actually have different entries in the database, for different values on the powers, so they need different names or the game would be confused. But that's just a guess. Could also be just to make things a bit more unique, for flavour.
  9. You can have Dark Melee just as long as we get Martial Arts.
  10. That would be a shame. Her lack of respect for adults is the main point of the stories.
  11. Ramiel is the reason for the surge of new incarnates. The Well is barely involved at all.
  12. It should have been a level 45+ arc and involved Malta directly and from the beginning. Roy Cooling could have been introduced as working with Crimson/Indigo.
  13. Congratulations, and woot, I won something! I hadn't kept track of the votes. Awesome. Might just start working on a new arc now.

I was going to say something snide and un-seasonal about the decision to keep the winter event going for bloody ages, but I can't disagree with anything that can melt Eisregen's frozen heart and bring RP to his eyes.
  15. Title: Until the End of the World
    Arc ID: 431270

I played this arc recently since it's nominated for a players' choice award, so I think I can review this from memory:

Pros: I loved it. It's "generic" enough that I can play it with any and all of my villains, and I think I will.

Cons: The romance part of the story took a lot of time to reveal itself. Sadly it didn't involve the parties I thought it would.
  16. Most likely someone have found them and rated them lower than 5 stars which has caused their average ratings to drop below 4.51.

  19. Dear Penthouse, I never thought this could happen to me, but...
  20. Do Mender Ramiel's missions. He's in Ouroboros. You can find out everything else you need to know by talking to him after you're done with the missions and have unlocked your Alpha slot.

Reading things like this and similar notions previously in the thread I can't help but wonder if none of you have ever heard the surprisingly accurate theory that 90% of everything is crap. And 90% of the remaining 10% is also crap. There is however some stuff that isn't crap and people have already done the hard work of finding it, collecting it and listing it in a thread that is easy to find. There's even a link to it in my signature. That list doesn't fix the problem with the AE search engine but nothing is fixing the problem with the AE search engine so far, so the list is still a good start. If the problem you're having with the AE is that you can't find good arcs because the AE search engine sucks, then it seems silly to complain about having to look elsewhere for the good arcs. If something sucks and a better alternative exists: use the better alternative.
  22. Instead of having every enemy be "smart", how about having a few smart enemies? Maybe 25% of the mobs have the "smart" AI and get aggro from healing/buffs/debuffs/ugly costumes. That way the current dynamic isn't completely lost but a new element of surprise is tossed in the ring. It might spice up fights a bit.
  23. I don't like forming teams, if I did I would be playing my arcs (and others) all day long with all kinds of PUGs. I probably won't be participating in this week's assignment but maybe if I find myself on a reasonable team I will lead them towards the AE building.
  24. No, snipers never move unless knocked back. They can't move.

Any advice for a soloist?
    Try killing the clones.
