And once again RL raises its ugly head to come bite me on my Hami-raid preparation butt. If you don't see FrIce hanging around the Hive by 6pm don't wait around for me to turn up. I shall likely be very very late so will just have to warm myself on the "success" shouts I expect to see in the raid channel(s)

In all my years I have never fought in a Hami raid. I hope to be there both nights (different toons) to join in the fun and pick up bag of shard candy. At the moment I plan to use FrIce (Ice/Fire blaster) on Friday and Spiritess (bubbler) on Saturday. Should be a blast.

Just like to add my enjoyment for last nights run. The Rikti inspired banter was a blast. It seemed that raid would never end.
Lost track of the number of merits I gathered but was sad that through the whole raid I only had one shard drop.
Well done Soul Storm on a brilliant run. -
I'm not happy with Avatea's response either and agree with GMan3's comment;

I just find it really annoying that after all this time of the community pushing for an EU specific competition when one finally arrives it has not been handled very well at all. -
Firstly may I congratulate Levictus on the winning entry but I am afraid I have some concerns about the selection process of the winning entry.
My concern I have about the running of the competition is that the final selection picked does not seem to have followed the interpretation of what was requested, i.e.;
"... designing and naming an In-game NPC ..."
No offence to Levictus's awesome looking character Prime-8 but it is not an original designed and named NPC for In-game but rather a posting of one of his/her existing characters. A character which has been talked about a lot in the 'Post your best costume designs here!' thread and pictured here and here.
My understanding of the competition was that we should have designed and named a completely new NPC that was NOT one of our existing toons, which is something the runner up Black Mage seems to have attempted with their entry 'Psilence'. I feel this has made it unfair for all those of us who actually took the time out to sit down and design an outfit along with a character name that could be used in this competition.
Please don't make the mistake of flaming me as a poor looser as this is not the case. I just feel that the rules of the competition have not been followed by those judging the entries - in fact I feel that the judges themselves had no understanding of what was required. But, as always, I guess the judges decision is final on this one.
I also need to bring up the following as stated on the first page of the competition;

Now as Seregmegilmor has stated above I too am not knocking the attempt to run a competition EU side, God(s) knows we need more of them over here, but next time can it be run in a less 'half-arsed' manner with full clarification of what is required under the rules.
My apologies Levictus if you feel this post is being directed at you for winning - I assure you this is not the intended nature of my post. I like your character Prime-8. No, this post is directed at those running/judging the competition and how I feel they have not understood their own requirements.

Had a lot of Map Server errors last night which made the Manti TF I was on a lot more fun
Only one complete DC tho.
Won't get on till much later today so unable to coment if the errors are still happening for me. -
I'm back (again), but it wasn't easy getting back. On the very same day that I re-activated my account it got perma blocked at Master Account level. Took 6 days for Support to sort it out which meant I missed all the fun of server queues on release day.
I hear it was a very interesting night. -
Welcome back - I came back recently to Union (and a bit of Defiant) after a year off and so far haven't had any troubles in finding some excellent teaming, especially villain side.
As an example in my three months back I've managed to finish getting a villain to 50 and as of last night got my first VEAT (a Widow) to 40. So as far as the servers being quiet, well in my experience, I think not. Sign yourself up to one of the badge hunt channels - sals badgehunters is always busy.
Yes there was a mass rush over to Champions but from people I've spoken to in and out of game many of those have already given up and come back.
Feel free to shout me on global anytime (@FrIce) and if I'm ingame and not working on an AE arc I'll help out as much as I can. -

Couldn't say exactly what the ratio of male/female toons is on my account. It's all about the concept - I'll come up with a basic background to my toon and a powerset concept then the sex of the toon more or less writes itself.

This really annoyed me last night - I to have the magic bolero and wedding veil options on a toon as it works very very well for the concept. I jumped into the nearest Icon on this toon so that I could customise her powers and as I was unaware of this change in costume options its completely screwed up what was a cool looking and favourite toon. Now I can't get her looking anywhere near as awesome looking as she was and starting to find her pretty much 'meh' to play. He costume - to me - was just as important as her name, bio and power selection. Now part of that 'attachment' to the toon has gone. Ah well, these things happen. Not bitter or angry just sad

Another States side only contest popped up in my email this morning. Now this isn't a post of "unfair" as I understand all about the restrictions of international competition laws etc. No, what I would like to ask is if there are plans for any similar competition(s) this side of the pond - all us cossie design freaks are gonna love this

Oh yes still an addict, so much so that not only did I cash in my 15 day code I also splashed out the pennies on the new booster pack. I am a lost cause. And with the news of 5 years worth of City stuff in the Dev's bags it looks as if I'm going to be addicted for a long time to come.
So ... WAR heh. Did 9 months of the closed beta on that and to be honest with you I was left feeling very Meh. Pity Really as I was hoping for so much more from it. But if you're enjoying then good on you.

... but only for a few days. Decided to use my 15 Day Maestro compensation code that I was saving for Architect but as that has been pushed back a bit I thought "What the heck" and applied it.
As for a perma comeback ... probably not till early December (if I'm lucky).
So if anyone spots me over the next 10 days (already used up 5 of the 15) feel free to give me a shout - especially if you happen to be around the lvl 45 villain mark. I fancy trying to get Fallen Comet (Union) up a few notches before I vanish again.

You know, depending on when the cancellation takes place on the servers, this evening (between 5pm and 9pm) could very well be my last couple of hours. Starting to feel kinda sad now, all these toons have become such a part of my creative process over the last few years.
