  1. Wolverine and others with healing factors. The other X-Men usually make it through a fight without becoming maimed or critically injured, but Wolverine with all his years of martial arts training and fighting experience gets torn up all the time where he would die without the healing factor.

I don't guess this is a superpower, but it always bugged me that Peter Parker was gifted enough scientifically to design superstrong webbing capable of holding superpowered bad guys, cars up in the air and many other amazing feats. But other than the web shooters and the spidertrackers, we never really saw him do anything other than put on his spider suit and punch and web bad guys. That's cool and all, but I would have liked to see him with a belt full of gadgets that he invented to go along with his powers.

Someone else mentioned Superman and his invunerablity. Years and years ago he fought Lobo for the first time and Lobo kicked his butt, this was the Legion version of Lobo prior to his super overexposure, with Lobo trash talking him about never learning how to fight the whole time. Later they rectified this a bit with Superman being trained by Mongul of all people to fight but it still seems like a person with super speed might be able to dodge a punch from a super bad guy rather than just taking it on the chin.

Got a very well-done retelling of him recieving the ring from Ganthet before we jump to the present, where one ring from each of the different Corps seems to have inexplicably abandoned its previous bearer and sought out Kyle for some reason. Like in Aquaman, there's also some good bits dealing with Kyle not being percieved as the "real" GL by the public, possibly taking a sly jab at the diehard Hal fans who snubbed Kyle back in the day.
I'm a bit behind, but I've continued collecting the Green Lantern books via TPBs. One of the best parts of the GLC was the buddy team of Kyle and Guy Gardner. I also really got into Green Lantern in the 90's when Kyle was the only one, but I had collected earlier series featuring Hal. I always preferred Kyle though; he was fleshed out as more of an actual character, and younger, when Hal seemed like a whiny old man. Anyway, I guess I'm glad to see that Kyle is getting some more exposure, but at the same time, I'll really miss Kyle in Green Lantern Corps and I'm kind of apprehensive about this: remember Ion?

    Gave me chills!

Such a shame the movie was... Well, that's well documented by now.
I fully agree. I dragged my wife to see it in the theater while we were on vacation and could have been doing any number of fun and/or naughty things instead of seeing that movie. I've since kept a lot of my geeky interests to myself.
  4. I saw this on the DVR on accident the other night and have set it to record the episodes. Out of all the movies that my kids watch, Kung-Fu panda is my favorite so we will be watching the series. I was surprised that they didn't have one after the first movie.
  5. Mine would be a Big Lebowski kind of situation where I'm going along with my normal life and then with some kind of confusion when people make a mistake about me and what I've done. The bad guys take interest in me because they think that I know something and cops take an interest in me because the bad guys have taken an interest. Hilarity and some action ensue and I remain clueless as to what's going on the entire time.

Just kidding. I've gone strictly TPB and don't have a pull list anymore. So I'll be enjoying some of the new DCnU stuff in 6 months to a year.
  7. It's hitting me as well, since I don't play during "normal" playing hours here in the US.

I tried to log on this morning and was kicked from the server for more maintenance. I've been unable to play more than I've been able to play lately. Hopefully this will be the last time for awhile. If not, now that I have the option to play for free, I may pursue it.

    Exalted Intros

Hey. I've been playing for almost 5 years. I've played on Freedom, Victory, and Virtue. I mainly play on Virtue, since it's the most populated. Since Freedom...is well....Freedom, and Victory barely has anyone playing, I don't play on those often. I'm going to be transferring some toons over to Exalted and look forward to making it a second home for some of my oldest and new toons will probably be rolled there.
  9. I want to create a VG called The Tearoom of Despair for slightly odd, Doom Patrol-like villians.

    Exalted Channels

This is great. I'll be joining the LFG one. I've moved a couple of my toons from servers that I don't play on due to low population and am looking forward to some team-up action.
  11. I keep trying it because when the servers were down the other day, the status page still had them as being "down" when I was able to log back on.
  12. I can log onto the game now, but can't access the servers yet. Can't wait!

"Account **** is not allowed on this server. reason: Public access to this server has been disabled."

I tried to get on Exalted....

    .....I totally forgot about Hulk....
  14. I'm intrigued by this. I recently started reading the Dresden novels and have been wanting to create a wizard/Harry Dresden-ish character. I guess I have a reason to do so now.

I'm also excited to hear the Jim Butcher plays CoH, and on Virtue to boot. It would be awesome to team with him after reading some of his work. In my opinion someone has to be really intelligent and talented to have a first novel be as good as Storm Front.
  15. Download is at 86% and I have the Server Status open in another window.....can't wait. I have tons of homework (this is one of my days off) but I can't concentrate knowing a new issue will hit soon!
  16. I really like the idea. I've deleted tons of toons after 50 because they weren't quite what I wanted them to be. So I lost everything that I'd earned and just rerolled the toon with another AT. This is much better in my opinion.

I'm starting to become a Zac Rider fan. He's so goofy that it borders on awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tS2aVLkRar0

    Thread derail over.

Thanks for the head's up, OP. I'm downloading as we speak and hopefully all will be ready for when things are ready on the servers.

Also, I just got tomorrow off of work!

Samuel L. Jackson being the boss of the whole thing is cool, but now I'm thinking that they should have worked Luke Cage into the Avengers mix somehow for some more diversification. Plus, Luke Cage is awesome.

  20. I enjoyed him in Spartacus and hoped that he would recover and come back in that role. Rest in Peace, Andy.
  21. If it's good enough to have been renewed, I may have to give it a chance.

I still haven't seen the Cap movie, except for a few scenes, but it looks like in the first pic he's about to jump into action and is in a manly "ready for action" pose. In the second, he's just standing there, so I'm taking that into account and hope that it does translate better on film, post-production.
  24. Power siphon makes me want to ditch the KM brute that I made and make a stalker so I can have Build Up instead.
  25. Sonny Chiba!

    And where's Steven Segal?
