Also, the fact that you still cannot invite your offline alts into your own SG (along with the non-vault option above) shows they don't care about the loner who doesn't involve himself in the community.

First off posting the name of an RMT site anywhere on here is a violation of the forum rules. And deliberately mispelling the name does not mean you aren't still breaking the rules.

    9. You may not post advertisements.

Advertising on these forums is prohibited, specifically posts that advertise a transaction for real money or any posts that discuss an action prohibited by the User Agreement (North American and European).

Secondly, by adding this feature the devs have virtually eliminated every players need to ever use an RMT service. Every player can easily make millions with only the slightest effort and now can easily transfer those funds to any character they have on any server that's on the same faction.

Furthermore with dual builds as soon as GR comes out players can shuttle expensive enhancements between factions and use a respec to pull them off and sell them on the otherside.

Uhm, you do realize that Scourge 23 isn't a global name right? For it to be a global name you have to type @Scourge 23. Without the @ it's just a character name.

The Europeans would benefit a lot more from it. Which is fine by me.
I don't see that as a problem. I've run across a couple of SG's on the NA servers whose members speak Spanish. My inability to speak more than one language hasn't interfered with their enjoyment of the game and I know it didn't interfere with mine. A simple no habla espanol and we parted on civil terms.

So if I can peacefully coexist with our South American brethren the I have no reason to fear the occasional angry frog or sauerkraut I might encounter on the French and German servers.

Hell it might even be fun to start new multi-server SG called "Gone to the Americans".

Who am I kidding. That's too funny to not have been done already.

I chose 10 because it's a nice round number, and a nice milestone to achieve for both game and players.
  5. Why doesn't he just go into options and turn off his name/title? I do it all the time when I want to take a screenshot. He knows his own characters name and turning it off so he doesn't see it won't prevent other players from seeing it.

Oh hell yeah, and the same goes for the ones that get butt hurt over having to wait for their perks to unlock just like everyone before them waited.

Now I wouldn't object if the devs picked an end date for the vet reward program. That way new players would see that there would eventually come a time when they had just as many rewards as older players.

If they do that I would prefer they base it on an anniversary. For example 120 months/10 years.

    • Super Booster IV: Martial Arts grants Ninja Run, level 4 onward on all characters.
    • Good Vs Evil in-game pack (or if the account doesn't have it, the full GvE edition): Pocket D Teleport and Jump Jet (though that is only 30 seconds at a time.)
    30 real days temp powers:
    • Christmas Event (for candy canes) or Holiday cheer (random): 30 real days Jingle Jet unlimited flight power.
    30 minute Temp powers:
    • Siren's Call: you can buy Flight, Teleport, or Super Leap from the Siren's Call mercenaries if your faction is winning the zone.
    Non-consecutive lasting temp powers:
    • Level 1 onward, park your character in either Firebase Zulu (or other Shadow Shard) or Grandville for a max 30 minute (renewable) Jetpack. Get the Commuter or Pilot day job badges to refuel at any train station or Arachnos flier as well.
    • Level 1 onward go to Firebase Zulu or Grandville and purchase a Jetpack for 10,000 Inf.
    • Level 5-9 (50-50 chance at level 10), or with help do the Atlas Park Safeguard or Mayhem mission: Reward is a 2 hour Jetpack. (Can get once per character.)
    • Level 11-14 (50-50 chance at level 10 or 15), or with help do the Kings Row Safeguard or Mayhem mission: Reward is a 2 hour Jump Jet. (Can get once per character.)
    • Level 15-19 Villains - Steal a Goldbricker's Rocket Pack: 90 minutes of flight.
    • Level 20-24 Villains - Sky Raider Flight Pack 60 minutes of flight. (You can flash back to get this multiple times.)
    • Level 25 onward for both sides: Ouroborus Portal
    Introduced with Issue 17:
    • The second of the new Positron's TFs has a Jet Pack as well.
All these options are available to all players.

As for other temp powers, see this list:
    http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Temp_Powers

The options are there, you just have to see them.

Class dismissed unless you can show how the vet rewards City Traveller out-powers the above available alternatives. I promise to repost this list every time I see you make the silly statement above until you come up with an answer.

I think the argument is that the City Traveller vet reward frees up a power selection. Sadly the people making that argument are ignoring the fact that the various temporary travel powers we have available free up two power choices.

Thanks to the temp powers we never have to take a permanent travel power.

You're the expert on whining about people whining. You make that accusation whenever anyone tells you that you have to wait for vet rewards to unlock just like everyone else.

The devs have never once said that they were considering removing vet rewards from the game so there has never been anyone whining about "losing" vet rewards.

    How is that even possible?

Edit: That was after selling the AP beacon I had so I could put in a Brickstown one.

There's an old bug that does that. Usually it's fixed by logging off and then logging back in.

heck I've been here over 3 years now EU side (and almost 15 months US side) so I'm not exactly a newbie and I wouldn't care if people got stuff earlier than I did.

Plus most vet players see it as annoying whinning...I see it as the fact the player has got to sit there for 3 years and 3 months just to get a costume reward of boxing gloves and boxing shorts.

Ok, I'll repeat my earlier post. Allowing players to use tokens to buy their favorite vet rewards as soon as possible will only lead those same players to start whining and crying that the remaining vet rewards all suck after they cherry picked the ones they wanted.

    Vet Rewards

I'm not sure what's more pathetic. Watching people whine when their AE exploit gets nerfed or watching people whine about about the "unfairness" of having to wait like everyone else for their vet rewards.

I'm glad to see that your posts are now easier to read. If you'd like an example of how quickly attitudes can change in regards to how a person presents his posts, I'd like to refer you to some of Power_NA's posts. In the beginning he'd make suggestion posts that were hard to read, and people made fun of them. Once he started making his posts easy to read people started complimenting him and taking his ideas more seriously even when they disagreed with him.

    Hide the Doorway

When I make a raised floor/dropped ceiling to conceal a room I go to great lengths to make sure they blend in with the level of the base doorways. The thing that makes hidden doors next to impossible to hide tho is the fact that we have nothing that blends in with the wall/ceiling/floor patterns.

As soon as you see a floor or ceiling that isn't one of the standard textures you know there's a hidden level in that room, and it's just a matter of time before you find the entrance.

This is why I desperately wish the devs would take some time and reskin the white floor tile next to the safe in the base architect. Give it a top and bottom that matches the floor and ceilings. It would also be great if they'd give us some smaller floor tiles with similar skins so we can make floors easier than using hundreds of desks/stone blocks/tables etc.

Oh and for the record, I am no where near the top of talented base builders in this game. I'm the moss under the pedastal those guys stand on.

No. We wouldn't insult people who are differently abled by making that accusation. You have shown that you are capable of communicating in an intelligent fashion if you try, but you don't care about the impression you make on others. When you lack self respect and respect for others no one is going to show you any respect in return. They are going to talk down to you, and be condescending.

You get back what you put into your posts.

This, and there are also those sunny individuals that manage to alienate themselves from everyone on the low pop servers. When a person acts like a jackhole it's much easier for them to run out of people willing to team with them.

    Hide the Doorway

Ok. Here we go. This first pic is the entrance room of one of my bases.

Here I used Plants and Stone blocks to craft the illusion of a garden along the wall and in the corner the leaves cover the entrance into the lower level.

    #2

This is the traditional "fireplace" entrance where you step inside and drop to the next level down.

    #3

Another fireplace going in the opposite direction.

    #4

Here is an example of using base lighting to conceal a secret room built right above the base entrance teleport.

    #5

This door is another example of using lighting and to conceal a hidden entrance.

    #6

In this pic the door is concealed behind the entertainment center where the plant leaves hide the drop down entrance.

    #7

In this pic two entrances are hidden. One going up using base lighting and the other is behind the glowing doohickey (heh I can't think of it's name).

    #8

Here I'm using the tree and lighting to hide the door in the corner of the ceiling.

    #9

Lastly this is another example of optical illusion. Here I built the door with the wall on the right side of the stairs being farther back than the left side. The gap is the door behind the stairs.

I hope this gives people ideas.

    Thanks Kat.

I'll get started on some pics of my hidden doors and post them, but I've got to admit most of my secret doors conceal entrances going up or down. I use tricks like fireplaces, plants, showers, etc to distract the observers eyes from doorway.
