Okay. That I can agree with. A better job notifying everyone of the deadline should have been done.

    OMG!!!!
I don't see the problem. Emails are not storage bins. There's no reason an email should sit unopened/unclaimed in an active account for 30 days especially if a person is sending it to himself.
  3. Why would it take someone more than 30 days to claim an email? Especially if they sent it to themselves. It's not a storage bin.

Edit: Although I will agree with others that they should have done a better job of notifying everyone of the 30 day deadline.

True but I think that would entail a mountain of work and if they did decide to do it we wouldn't see anything for quite some time.
  5. No other games community holds a candle to you guys and gals. This place is a sanctuary in a festering ocean of evil. I'm here till the company kicks us all out. And the games fun too.
  6. I like the idea of themed sets but I think I'd prefer them if they were designed as additional sets under the Power Pools category. That way all AT's could get them if they wanted and it would add a lot more flexibility to character customization. Also since power pol sets only have 4 powers we the devs could in theory make two sets in the time it takes to make a single primary or secondary AT set.

Actually that's not true. You have the same idea as the majority of the playerbase which is:

Leave it alone. The vet reward system is working as intended and there is no need to make any changes to it.

So did I, and I can say after playing that particular F2P game that it was worth every penny I spent on it.

NP Decorum we're all friends here. My comment about F2P not working for Dungeon Runners was directed at their inability to maintain a large enough playerbase and how NCSoft responded. DR was designed to be F2P from the start with an option for more if you paid a $5.00 monthly fee.

That's odd, the only thing I recall you suggested about advertising was the following.

    Date: 2/04/2010
Thread: "All Quiet on the Paragonian Front"

    You suggested they sell T-shirts.

    Thread: "Advertising Going Rogue"

    You suggested they Sell T-shirts
Put Posters up in Best Buy
Buy advertising between movie trailers in theaters
    Sell Plushies

If I missed a thread where you suggested what the OP has posted please provide a link to it.

Does NCSoft own FreeRealms? From what I've seen NCSoft shuts down games that stop earning a profit rather than convert them to F2P. See also Auto Assault and Tabula Rasa as additional examples.

Magik (Illyana Nikolievna Rasputina - typically anglicized to Rasputin) is a Marvel Comics character, associated with the X-Men. She is the younger sister of the Russian X-Man Colossus.

Tho I admit I can't think of a reason the other origins are unavailable.

Maybe I'm not up on the terminology and server is the wrong word, but here when Virtue crashes people have the option of switching to Freedom, or Pinnacle, or whichever other server they prefer. But when CO crashes no one can play. The game is down for everyone. The same goes for STO.

Both of those games also share the same Login server/application/program whatever it's called, and when it crashes no one can log into either game.

Glad to hear its being looked into, and it isnt a problem on my end, hehe...

On a side note... you couldnt pry me from Virtue with a large crowbar. I'll stand for its crashings as much as I have to. You know I love you, Virtue...

That's a nice attitude to have. You should do fine here.

Yeah F2P worked so well for Dungeon Runners that NCSoft shut the game down and all the population problems went away.

I hope a few people did find it humorous, if not, sorry. I'll try better next time.
I thought it was humorous that people were responding seriously, cuz I've seen the same thing happen to me when I was joking. Sometimes subtle dry humor doesn't translate well on a written forum.

Next time try a little more of this.

How about this compromise Ad, (and I've suggested this for vet reward costumes as well) When they release a new booster/vet reward with new costume pieces, they should give everyone a plain basic model that they can use, and save the fancy/unique model for the booster/vet reward.

That way no one gets screwed. People can either be satisfied with the basic model or they can choose to buy/wait for the booster/vet reward and unlock the fancy/unique model.

Regarding the SG booster pack - how would that work exactly? Boosters apply per account, so even if you added the items suggested, those who did not purchase the pack would not have access to them? And when they are in the base, what would appear to them? A big blank space where the WW interface should be - or a model of the interface that was not functional? Ugh. And the ability to teleport to your base from anywhere (on a long recharge) is already in game as a Veteran's Reward at 24 months.
I would assume it would work the same way the SG Base item Vet rewards work. If you don't have the code unlocked then you can't buy and place the items in your SG base. Once unlocked and placed anyone in the SG could use it.

I know plenty of base builders that would drool over such a booster, even if it were only decorative items. We really are that desperate for a little base lovin.

On a side note I also have to cast my vote against the pink. Large walls of pink text makes my eyes water and I don't read them. The other colors don't bother me.

Over the years I've noticed that it seems these problems crop up around the release of features that have a huge impact on the game. So I'm not surprised to see them now.

Its says both on the website. One set of equations says 10 meters and further down it says 11 meters. So I accept both answers because they have the math to back them up.
  24. It's true that Virtue has had stability problems lately, but the company is trying to get it resolved. And while no one is saying that this issue isn't frustrating,it is a good example of why players should spread out onto other servers. That way when a server crashes people can still play on one of the others.

Imaging how frustrating CO or STO is when they crash. They only have a single server, and when it goes down no one can play. Even worse both games share the same login server, so when that crashes for one game no one can log in to either game. And that has happened a dozen times the past few months.
