Was that too much? I can never tell.

IMHO critics all suffer from cranial rectal inversions and I summarily dismiss anything they say as a heaping piles of smelly brown stuff ever since I was a kid and saw a pair of those idiots give "The Empire Strikes Back" a bad review because (And this phrase always stuck with me) "It is a cliffhanger that raises more questions than it answered." Apparently they didn't get the memo that the film was the second part of a trilogy.

No offense but I think you are missing the point or you don't know what glossing over means. A_F made a comment that people were glossing over the effects that exemping will have on the Incarnate slots.

Glossing over can mean someone being purposefully misleading with their explanation.

I was pointing out that isn't the case for some of us. Since some of us simply don't use the feature we never considered what effects it would have on peoples characters.

There's a huge difference between not knowing how a feature you never use works and deliberately making misleading statements to give people the wrong impression on how something will work.
  5. And exactly what is the question you expect other players to be able to answer? None of us can explain why the Server Status Webpage is not showing that the servers are down.

There are also some players that simply don't use the exemplar feature. I know that I've never used it. That's why I have alts. How builds work when exemplaring never crosses my mind.

    Just saying.

The only problem Aura is that you are one of the exceptions to the norm. I think George Carlin said it best.

Think of how stupid the average person is and then realize that half of them are stupider than that.

  8. Fulmens always seems to do this when I'm broke. This time it was just after I dumped almost 500 million into my base on Virtue. *sigh* Oh well. maybe I'll catch him the next time I have inf to spare.

Just be aware that there is a limit on the number of items you can use in a base before it becomes unstable and crashes. Making floors is one of the most item consuming things to build.

I think the limit is 12,000 but I could be wrong. Sure it sounds like a lot but you'll be surprised how quickly it adds up when you start adding rooms.

I have an apartment complex I built in a 3x3 control room in my base consisting of 3 floors that used 953 items and this Castle I used to have in another base took 3,005 items to build.

Conversely, the *theatre owners* love movies with legs (such as Avatar and Toy Story 3 this year) because they make the most money per ticket sold after the first month. During opening weekend, the studio takes in 90% of the ticket sales (on average). 12 or 15 weeks later that's reversed, with exhibitors garnering 90% of the ticket price. But how often does a movie stay in theatres for 3 to 4 months? Almost never. Even when they do, few people are attending those shows. Which is why so many exhibitors have gone bankrupt.
Getting movies out of the theatres and onto a DvD release opens the door to a whole new branch of geekdom, the collectors. A collector may very well buy a copy of a movie, not because they like it but instead just to have a complete collection.

You do realize that in order to hate a movie you have to see it at least once. Even geeks know that much. What the movies lose when they screw up the subject matter is all the revenue from the repeat geek business. When geeks love a movie you can't keep them from going back and watching it again and again and again. They don't care about ticket prices when the movie is great.

No I wasn't. You can easily choose to plan your build ahead of time and put normal and incarnate slots where they will be most effective. So if you are going to slot your alpha with a global end redux you can use the normal slots that you'd normally fill with end redux to boost your Stamina.

So if you slotted end redux in it it will globally affect all powers, but then you couldn't slot the global recharge. Also for resistance it only affected powers that GAVE resistance, such as the sheild.

that's not quite the same as the "more slots" that folks had in mind. With all that said this may changed when the re-intro the ALPHA SLOT (Which I think is the only slot coming in I19).

With that said I don't agree or disagree with them giving us more regular slots.
Thank you for that explanation. Although now knowing that I still don't see the need for more slots. Sure they'd be useful if we got them, but hardly necessary since Fitness has never been a required powerset to make the game playable.

This is why even though I'm not against the idea of getting more regular slots I ultimate don't think A) were going to need them or B) the game would be balanced for them regardless.

People have been wanting more regular slots for our highest level powers for years.
Clearly the Incarnate system is going to be the answer for that.
It might not quite be the "answer" we were looking for, but it's the "answer" the Devs are giving us for that.
    This.

If you heard different and we aren't getting incarnate slots then what are getting? More powers? If so that seems pretty useless without slots for them.

Besides why should the devs give us more slots just because Fitness gets made inherent? Khelds don't get more slots and they get access to a lot more powers when they unlock the Nova and Dwarf forms. Players just need to decide whats more important to them when assigning slots.

I'd personally be up for plenty of experiments and such if I knew the wish covered it to the extent that i wished it to...for example I'd be up for exploratory brain surgery if i knew that any cutting or damage would heal to a pre-op state, I'd cho off arms and such at a whim for people in need. But only if i knew it would grow back.

Sure there would be pain or hunger or something like that, but I'd be curious to see what it felt like honestly. The coma itself is worthless if you have someone like me because the regrowth rate isn't helped by the coma and i'm willing so no point ^.^
The coma is to make sure he doesn't change his mind and try to leave, and to make sure I don't have to share any of the money I'd be making from selling him for parts.

Of course if the brain grows back as well just remove it. He should be a vegetable when it grows back because the new brain won't have any of his memories. Memories aren't genetic.

Man I could get rich off of you. Keep you in a chemically induced coma and use you to harvest organs and body parts.

also lets be honest, the series was ALWAYS about giant robots fighting it out. that they 'transformed' wasn't so much an integral story point as it was the selling point for the toys they were pushing.
In an animated show voice actors are very important to the characters. Changing them changes the character. Shrek wouldn't be Shrek if he suddenly sounded like Kermit the Frog. Vader wouldn't be Vader if he suddenly sounded like Sylvester Stallone.
  19. We're getting more slots with the incarnate system.

  21. They found your costumes offensive and stay indoors to avoid looking them.
  22. /unsigned detrimental to game balance
  23. We're already getting more slots with the incarnate system. Way I see it making Fitness inherent helps balance the new slots we'll be getting. Players now have to choose if they are going to spend them on their new free powers or use them to make their other powers more powerful.

Edit: yes I am aware that Incarnate slots do not equal regular slots. They will in fact affect powers globally.
