The idea that you could potentially be unable to earn three badges because you made a decision (maybe years ago) to use a respec or not would be amazingly uncool to say the least. Until I see/hear a bunch of other people verifying this I'm going to politely dismiss this as badging urban legend or at best a bug of some kind.
That's why I named my source. I haven't verified his claim.

So Natural only applies to things on Earth and outside the confines of this Universe? That doesn't make sense.

*the odds of this happening increases in direct correlation with the size of financial contribution the AI is capable of making.
And you'd have god knows how many millions wrapped in their self righteous convictions of infallibility declaring the opposite. These are the same people that get bent out of shape over the term 'marriage' and how/if it applies to same sex couples. And we won't even bother bringing up the topic of cloning. So any chance of them supporting the idea that a machine is alive and has a soul is slim to none.

  7. The devs had valid reasons for installing it so I don't see them removing it.

Bull. Machines have no constitutional rights nor is destroying them considered 'killing' them under the law.

I guess what i feel is like if they solve all the really "gilligan's island" kinda issues with the show then they can concentrate on writing a great show with real stories beyond how they fail to "get off the island" this week.

The Camille/Chloe/TJ thing can be solved with an airlock. They even have excuses for it. TJ's depressed and isn't talking about what happened to her baby. Chloe is mutating, and Camille is depressed that she'll never see her significant other again. Tho personally I'd love to see Camille use the stones and come back to find that the person she swapped with hopped in the sack with Sgt Greer. Even better is she returned to find herself in bed with Greer during the finish of the dirty deed.

  11. Let's see:

    1. Yes, as long as the toggle that blocks SG invites isn't circumvented.

    2. An emphatic no for the way you are describing it. Not to long ago the devs found out people were in coalitions were robbing other SG's blind because they could access their storage and get around the security locks the SG's had for their own members.

Besides we can now send ourselves whatever we want via email.

    3. Sure why not.

    4. Highly unlikely to ever happen. The devs have this thing called game balance they are always concerned about.

    5. The devs have been doing this. It takes time.

    6. No opinion on this one.

    7. I want it too but as you found out they have valid reasons for not doing it.

    8. Again highly unlikely this wil ever happen. the devs are dead set against hoarding. The fact that we went from being able to store 2500 salvage items in bases down to 30 speaks volumes.

    9. We already can if we do it in a base or a mission.

    10. I'm going to disagree with this one but only with this caveat. If they release another emote booster it needs to have 4 times the emotes for the same price. Otherwise the booster isn't worth buying.

    11. No opinion on this at this time.

    12. What?

    13. Yes.

    14. Yes.

    15. No. At least not until we get Praetorian EATs. Then if additional EAT's get added it should be 3 at a time, 1 per each faction.

    16. No opinion.

    17. Not interested in this.

    18. Yes to more content, but I don't care what level range it's at.

    19. Isn't this a repeat of 16?

    20. I think balance issues applies here.

    21. No.

    22. Why would you need to use Ouro to get exploration or kill badges?

    23. Yes.

Over all Forbin, I agree with what you said. It adds nicely to what I said. Even still, I am not sure that a hero should be going for the kill against someone that is unknown unless there is no other choice. It reminds me of Spider-man vs Wolverine, and how Peter launched a back hand that killed Charlie because he thought it was Wolverine and was reacting on instinct. When a hero faces a new villain, it's not wise to go all out on the offensive until you have an idea as to what they can take.

The reason I brought up the unknown factor is because I'm not assuming that the hero is nigh invulnerable. It would be foolish for the hero to assume that the unknown weapon/power the villain has won't hurt him or anyone in the vicinity. It is better to err on the side of caution.

It's odd that we are having this discussion today of all days because I was just listening to the 5 o'clock news locally and they reported that a man was shot by police today after he attempted to rob a bank at knife point.

He didn't get any money because he was stupid (The most dangerous type of criminal). The important part is that when he left the bank the cops almost immediately had him surrounded and ended up shooting him twice when he refused to drop the knife and surrender. The thief wasn't killed.

This all happened on one of the cities busiest streets and the reporter said it was during the busiest time of day.

You can get guys to do almost anything if you tell them there will be free beer involved.

Woman - "Honey, would you come with me to a three day seminar discussing how women can effectively balance a career in corporate america and a healthy family life?"
    Guy - "I'm sorry, but I don't think I can make it."
Woman - "They'll have free beer."
Guy - "If we can get there early we can get seats close to the bar."

For instance, Eli isnt really supose to be there, but i wouldnt want to see him leave. TJ though i think has run her course. We already know her and Young have a past and the whole losing the baby thing, frankly i think getting her off the show would have been a good idea.

We sit back and talk about things like the amount of resourced needed to support that many people, how the ammo will hold out, etc, how often they are going to have to fall back on the "Stones" as a means to get someone on destiny that isnt. The problem with the show now isnt IMO that they have the wrong people anymore, or how they deal. They dont make them deal. True interaction and relationships are only going to be able to be shown between so many people. The rest are just baggage. It will become tiresome after awhile to always have to have doctors coming on board via the stones, or xenobilologists etc. So this plot in this episode gave them the ability to not only cut down on some of that, but to give an opening that could have limited use to be able to fix things as they arise.

For instance lets imagine that SyFy leaves this show running for a while like SG1 and actor decide they wish to leave the show. Sure you can kill them off, leave them behind on a ship full of midget aliens to be resolved later. But first how many times can you do that. And second as they get a more solid footing of the purpose of each cast members character what do you do to replace them? Having this type of device open to them helps to possibly solve issues down the road without having to make your audience groan that yet again and again they have to bend rules and find ways around the series own self imposed limitations. Im saying they could have fixed a few issues now, and left themselves an out to use later if needed.

And exactly what personnel issues could they have fixed? Stargate Command can't send replacements or supplies to them. Or do you think the SGC is going to conveniently find a constant supply of uninhabited planets in the Milky Way that have a naquadria core that they can blow up each time they want to establish a wormhole to the Destiny.

Oh hey! Maybe the SGC can ask Galactic President Zaphod Beeblebrox if his buddies at Magrathea can build them a planet with a naquadria core.

So even if they get rid of the dead weight they'll still be forced to constantly rely on the stones, and instead of watching TJ and Chloe stumble thru poorly written stories we'll get to watch some of the other minor characters take their place and stumble thru the poorly written scripts. Maybe it'll be that guy and the cute redhead from the Lucien Alliance. He can take TJ's place and she can sleep with Lt. Loser.

Where the difference lies is in the statement "When under duress of life." A hero may be able to take more than a cop. If said villain can dish it out, then I understand taking the life, but if Stiltman went up against Ironman, I doubt Tony would when a court case by saying he felt he was in danger of his life. Superman often falls prey to this situation, when a common thug points a gun at him, and the gun is loaded with a krptonite bullet.

When a hero takes on a villain, how much danger are they in? Can they stop the criminal without being injured? How about without the villain injuring an innocent bystander? If they can't, then they should use what ever force they can muster to stop the villain.

There is a line when taking a life is necessary. Anyone that feels otherwise is fooling themselves.

That assumes the hero in question has foreknowledge of what the villain he is facing is capable of dishing out. There's also the where, when, and how the encounter. The hero may not be in any danger but can the same be said for any civilians in the nearby vicinity? The machine gun ricochets that are careening off of the superheroes chest could easily kill several innocent by accident.

An individual with multiple DUI's will only be charged with misdemeanor offense until they cause significant injury, property damage, or death at which point it becomes a felony offense.

To me there is a dissonance there.
People who are convicted for possession who are users and have not committed any other crimes should be sentenced to a long term rehab facilities not prison.

This. And even if they did swap out the crews it would have defeated the basic concept of the show. That being what happens when the wrong people are in the wrong place at the wrong time and how they deal with circumstances beyond their control.

Get the right people on the Destiny and it turns into nothing more than another version of SG: Atlantis.

The concept of the show isn't flawed, it's the writing that sucks.

Drug possession is hardly a violent crime, what they use the drugs for on the other hand . . . for example if someone uses drugs to render a victim incapable of resisting sexual advances. Same goes if they commit a violent act while stoned (by that I mean murder etc).

Being under the influence doesn't fly for people under the influence of alcohol so it sure as heck doesn't apply to drug users.

    Best server??

I suggest Vigilance or Zukunft servers if the OP doesn't want to see AE teams being formed. If they are forming those kinds of temas it will likely be in French or German and the OP won't know what the heck they are saying so it won't bother him.
