I've always maintained that SLi is nothing but a confidence trick, designed to rip off people who (no offence) aren't aware that the performance increase is either minimal, or non-existant.

I mostly roleplay these days, with a bit of missioning thrown in from time to time, and maybe the rare TF.

Pff.. The Longbow dude was fine, I "arrested" the Hellions buddies once he'd moved. It's just the only way to get the buggers to shift over!

This sounds like the same "feature" that affects resolution changing in full screen mode. I've never tried this in Windowed mode, but give it a try.

1. Select new resolution from menu and click Apply.
2. OK the dialog that appears. Game resolution in the menu will revert to current.
3. Select new resolution from menu again BUT do NOT click Apply.
4. Exit to desktop.
5. Reload. CoH should now remember your resolution settings.

I really wish they'd fix this bug, it's annoying. In fact, in this day and age, there's no reason to be dropping out of the game to set the resolution anyway!

Sounds like it's not closing the game down properly, and thinks you've crashed.

In explorer, browse to where you installed the game and delete the .checksum file you'll find in there, then restart the updater. It should go through the file verification process and then shouldn't do it anymore.

So, I turned up at Galaxy Girl last night for my regular evening's RP, as usual, and there was this annoying Longbow standing on the plinth, right where I wanted to sit. These guys are ALWAYS getting in the way, so I decided to lure some mobs over to make him go away. Note that I was on my level 50 PB.

Looking through my list of powers, I couldn't immediately spot anything that wouldn't kill a mob on sight, and then I spotted a temp power "Rock". Yay! I think to myself, that'll get some attention without killing the mob.

So I chucked it at a nearby Hellion, being fairly confident that the Rock was like the Snowball, and didn't actually DO any damage... Silly me!

"You hit Blood Brother Slicer for 438.66 points of Smashing Damage"

Oops! Slight overkill methinks! Now the bugger is a mess on the ground, and all his mates have run away. OK, they eventually came back and pulled the Longbow off the plinth, but still! I'm a roleplayer you know, so that was all in character!

I mentioned it to a few friends a little later and Zortel, bless her heart, says:

Zortel: "Why didn't you just go to dwarf form and use taunt?"
Me: Oh yeah! Doh!
Zortel: *golfclap*

As Zortel says, that'll be because we're primarily a roleplaying SG, and team together for IC missions and general fun. What we're not is a prestige earning monster, which is a dreadful metric for measuring an SG's success. All it really means is that you have members which mission a lot.

Now, if an SG could be measured based on it's members dedication to the game world, and base design etc, we're be RIGHT up there. Have you SEEN the UV's base? I mean, seriously... It's totally awesome!

Of course I'm aware of that. Respecting religion is one thing (although IMO, respect has to be earned, not just granted because you think you're special). Respecting dingbats that try (and fail) to refute proven and verified scientific facts is another entirely. Hence my comparison with Phantom's source for his figures. You can find a site on the web that can "prove" just about anything these days.
