NR Overwriting a Kheld inherent is in the Mids' Known Issues list. However, I don't recall seeing anyone post a database edit to work around the problem, so cool tip for those having issues with it

Quote:Sam almost always writes several paragraphs when he posts. In fact, I kind of wish more people would post like him. (Even meI'd say the reason everyone's coming down on you is because you're freaking out about little arbitrary things and feel necessary to write several paragraphs each post as to why.

Aside from posting a Crab Spider build using the wrong formatting option, what was this thread for...?

Hamidon Raid? Mothership Raid? I know you said you play at odd hours, but it's more content to consider.

Masterminds are the masters at soaking alpha strikes; often moreso than Scrappers, Tankers, and Brutes (but the Brute wants the alpha anyway in order to fuel Fury). I say this entirely due to Bodyguard Mode: each pet set to Follow/Defensive or GoTo/Defensive will share a portion of the damage that you take (split the damage into parts such that you take 2 parts and each pet takes 1 part). With a full compliment of 6 pets, that reduces your incoming damage by 75%, after any normal resists you have are applied. And even at lower levels (below 26, when you get your 6th pet), Bodyguard is extremely effective: at level 1, with a single pet, your damage is reduced by 33% -- compare that to a level 1 Tanker's 30% (and then only to some damage types).
And on top of Bodyguard, Masterminds get support secondaries, including several sets already mentioned in this thread. -

AoE Stun >>> AoE Slow
I mean, really? Wormhole stuns targets, and gives you almost absolute control over where those targets will be when you kill them. -

FEAR ME!
Quote:Scirocco an anti-villain? Yeah, he might like to think so, but all I hear coming from his mouth are excuses and rationalizations for his actions. He doesn't do a damn thing heroic. Hell, he'd rather change the fabric of the world, so he'd be heroic by default, than actually go out and be a hero.
And don't try to sell me any of that curse malarky. I'll believe he's got no hand in his fate when I see it. -
Quote:It's kind of like watching car license plates. Every now and then you'll spot, say, your own birthday or a symmetrical number like 1221, or even eat the kids first, but those are rarely intentional, so they're rarely worth more than a passing remark. Then you meet someone with a license plate that says NEED4SPD, and you KNOW someone specially requested that. These are worth a lot more discussion.

Quote:You just have to check Pets.Traps Acid Mortar Defender.Acid Mortar instead of Defender Buff.Traps.Acid Mortar. But is that measuring the accuracy of the Acid Mortar's own attacks or the summoning power of creating the pet? For instance, fluffy (Dark Servant) says accuracy 2.0 but that it simply the accuracy the /Dark or Dark/ Player has to have Fluffy appear EXACTLY where we want him to. Fluffy himself has 1.0 on all his attacks.
What is the accuracy of the Acid Mortar's attack power, not the accuracy of the summon? -
They can't do that, at least not with the current tech. It's the same reason why Shield Charge is a teleport: they can't make your character run through the intervening distance.

People have previously suggested everything from a (offline) costume creator app, to a market watch ticker, to full game access before. I recall someone managed to get remote desktop through their iPhone to play CoH... at about 5fps. All they could really do was access Wentworth's, and even that can be difficult at 5fps.
I think it'd be cool, but I also don't have any kind of smart phone to use it with

Quote:Oh so ronreyBumping a thread thats been unmentioned for less then a week for no reason other then to go "I feel ronrey" is just stupid and wrong.

It will contain stuff and things... but mostly stuff.

But if I use my temp powers, how will I defeat the Guy in the Hat? D:

Quote:Any mad scientist who creates something that looks like a demon and doesn't include 666 in it somewhere is required to turn in his mad scientist registration card. It's true. ยง9.3, paragraph 3 of the International Mad Scientist Association's charter. Look it up.I, myself, went with a rather basic concept of a pretty much traditional demon, just with unorthodox motivation (and in the shape of a little child) whom I made Natural for reasons that don't bear discussing, but if I wanted to go with, say, a Technology or Science Mastermind, that little reference (if it's intentional) WOULD bug me.
For other ideas, there's also "an alien from 666 Desdemona" (a minor planet in our solar system). 666 is abundant, triangular, the sum of the first 36 natural numbers (and, therefore, 666 is the sum of all the numbers on a roulette wheel). The square of the number of prime numbers up to 36 is 121, which is the number of prime numbers up to 666. In roman numerals, 666 is DCLXVI, which contains all of the roman numerals under 1000, and in descending order. -
Quote:The only PBAoE I listed was Lightning Rod, but the 60ft range is how far it teleports you (or, is capable of teleporting you) when you use it. That's why I counted it as a ranged attack; you can use it from 60ft away.True, although some of those are PBAoEs and cones. And your counting Knockout Blow???
Why does a cone not count as a ranged attack? Blast sets almost always have a cone, and they can be used from range.
I included KoB because I was listing everything over 10ft range (I skipped over some 10ft powers), where "melee range" is 7ft. -
Well, here's one perspective on the issue:
My namesake is a level 41 Inv Tanker (so, a little bit different situation from yours). I'm not IOed out (mostly generic IOs, though I've got a few set pieces here and there; nothing major), I do have the auto powers. And I've never felt the need for more self-heals than just Dull Pain.
-
I've never experienced falling damage suppressing my stealth (and super speeding around Grandville with Celerity tends to result in falling damage)...
-
Lightning Rod (60ft), Breath of Fire (15ft), Fault (20ft), Hurl [Boulder] (80ft), Knockout Blow (13ft), Focus (40ft), Shockwave (30ft), Impale (40ft), Throw Spines (30ft)...
