Long, long ago I made a minotaur character. I made him an MA/SR scrapper, and had so much fun watching him kick people in the head with his hooves that I played him into the high teens before I realized I'd made a terrible mistake.
He should have been /regen! With the constitution of a bull, so to speak.
Alas! I didn't want to start over (back then leveling wasn't quite as quick and easy as it is now and we had to walk uphill in the snow with blocks of concrete strapped to our feet just to get to a trainer). So he's still an MA/SR and is currently languishing at level 36 or so. If we should ever get powerset respecs... -
Quote:What I do is run past her and her captors - don't engage them at all - just run all the way to the end room where the glowie is, then fight my way back to her, clearing a path between her and the glowie.Haven't hit that one yet, but I was angered by one where I was supposed to rescue Lady Jane, only the second you rescue her she starts foaming at the mouth and attacking everything in the room, while ambushes pour down the hallway.
Plus she apparently dies if you breath on her too hard.
This can be done with a team as well if everyone cooperates. -
Woo hoo! Please add Office Rocker in there somewhere - either team is fine. I know they're both gonna be good.

I don't know about elec/elec, but I can say that elec/ice is fun. Mine's level 38 now. Haven't hit any major snags yet, but I also haven't tackled anything particularly difficult. I get the impression, though, that Electric Armor isn't winning any popularity contests.

I've got some female characters, and I've had people ask before if I was really a girl. My standard reply is something along the lines of, "No, but I really can fly and shoot fire from my hands!"

Someday, perhaps, the devs will give us a pair of Truly Epic ATs (one for each side) to play with, and those who have Truly Epic ATs and those who play with those who have Truly Epic ATs will appreciate and enjoy them, and we will all be happy with these Truly Epic ATs.

I personally believe that HEATS would be much cooler and feel less like fail if there were more alternate forms. Instead of just squid and crab, why not also have puppy and unicorn and bowling ball and William Shatner forms? (I picked bowling ball to compensate for the complexity of the puppy form animations and because many of the bowling ball animations can be re-used for the William Shatner form as well. As for the unicorn form, Charlie the Unicorn is the perfect model, so there's half the work done already.)
Of course even if those had been available when I was leveling my WS I'd probably still have gone with human form because even when using no alternate forms the feelings of fail were so minimal as to be virtually nonexistent. As for PBs, however... I got mine to 12 and rerolled him as a FF/Energy defender. -
Quote:You can always tell the Aquarius Tank because they will be the one who have 10 binds set up prior to play. All ten binds will enact the Taunt power but each one will have a different insult to go with it.
I've done that. One of my tankers went through the entire numpad with insults/taunts and started over again using +shift.

Quote:I have one of these, currently at level 26. Early on endurance is a huge PIA, but once you get stamina and some halfway decent slotting it's a lot of fun. And not useless! Just very very noisy atm.
Invulnerability / Ice ... just because it seems so slow. Also, the arrival time of the attacks, and when they need to be slotted, and the damage they do ... it just seems to all arrive at a very awkward time compared to when I'd want to do be doing certain things with the primary. Basically, I think it'd be hard to level up and a bit tedious. Thats pure conjecture tho. I admit that I sorta want to try one. I've been avoiding it. I have too many projects already -
I got my first level 50 villain (dark/dark corr) and my electric/ice tanker is now 37 and, uh, my rad/fire blaster is 24. And it ain't over yet!

Here's what I have so far. Probably not the best or most efficient, but it's worked well for me and has been fun to play (solo and teamed).

Every time someone asks, "What's the plan?" I feel compelled to reply, "Plan? There ain't no plan!"
Kinda like Eric Cartman singing 'Come Sail Away'. 'Cept different.
Anyway, I've got a couple of characters stalled in the upper 40s, so I guess maybe I'll get those on up to 50, although I'm not really too keen on playing them at the moment. I've got a lot of characters in the mid to upper 20s, too. Eh. I'll just go with the flow. -
You scored 87.88% of the possible points for this test.
I guessed on few. I guess I guessed wrong. One of the wrong guesses was in regard to the scrapper sets. I knew there was no /ice armor for scrappers in issue 13, so I guessed fire - which was off by one issue. -
Quote:Super Strength is actually the one I'm waiting/hoping for. I came up with a concept for an Super Strength scrapper ages ago. Got the name, got the costume - just need the powerset. Recolored Dark Melee *almost* works, but not quite.I'm currently wishing for Super Strength and Ninjitsu for Scrappers.
Very happy with my electric/ice tanker, btw. Hooray for proliferation! -
Quote:Probably because they have all those Beautiful Balloons. How come we didn't cross 5th Dimension and push those algae-eaters back to the Great Wall of Kun'Ger Ke'ee?

I'll give it a 98. It's got a good beat and you can dance to it.

49 and getting more

<insert colorful metaphor> neighbor kids! Why don't they stay on their <insert colorful metaphor> side of the fence? That's the whole <insert colorful metaphor> purpose of the <insert colorful metaphor> fence! To keep the <insert colorful metaphor> neighbors in their own <insert colorful metaphor> yard, and out of mine! <insert colorful metaphor>! -
I've been having a lot of fun with my electric/ice tank, currently at level 14. Lightning Field and Frost = woo hoo. dave p has an interesting ice melee guide here.

Before I-16 I couldn't play the violin. Now... well... I still can't play the violin, but I've been wanting to play an electric/ice tanker and now I can.
Shut up, I like it. -
One of those TFs was in Striga - no AE there.
