  1. Got my basic toon down.

Empathy Defender, named Teremity. Gentle nature, dislikes attacking things so heals. Sort of etheral... uses invisibility and stuff like that. Insectoid for the moment, until I come up with anything better/else.

    Thanks to Ent too.
  2. Is there a deadline for character making? I am useless at that.
  3. I find the reason I do not recap is simply due to procrastination. I am far too lazy to recap events I can refer to in logs if need be; I may recap very important information, yes, but nothing else.

Back in 2005, or whenever I started CoH (My memory is not so great), I remember reading recaps of GG and it seemed interesting. I considered going many a time, and certainly did once or twice; of course, I was young then, and my roleplaying ability was far from good. I stopped CoH soon after for unrelated reasons.

The same recaps got me interested the second time, and that is about that time I started to go to Pocket D with Sarah. And here I am today.

I think recaps are useful for important information, life changing things, and it is interesting to see what other people's characters are up to; but I do not feel the need to recap personally... again, probably due to my laziness and lack of checking the boards.
  4. Not overly fond of the idea, but what the hell? Might be fun.

Lady Patriot, being all patriotic, will do the best she can to fight for her country.. and planet.
Feyth will have a field day. Enough said.
Namida.. not sure. She might just stay with Rose to protect her or something.
Mister Patriot will come out of retirement IC to own some Rikti. Or get faceplanted.

The rest of my toons are semi-RP, so.. they do not count. :P
  5. Would just like to say I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would gladly go again. Well done to the organisers, it was an awesome event.
  6. If it is not to late to put my name down, I would like to come.

    IC rumours

"Hey, did you hear about the zombies?"
    "The Vazihlok guys?"
"Naw, man, these guys were proper zombies. Lurchin' and everything."
    "Really? Freaky."
"Yeah.. apparently they were comin' outta the forest on the outskirts of Paragon."
"Really? Why d'you think that is?"
"Dunno. Maybe some Necromancers got his knickers in a twist or somethin'."

  8. This is not going to sound good, but..

I think I am going to have to pull out of this. I am going to have very hectic stuff going on over the next few months, which means I may not be in the mood to RP at all..

Even so, my current RP mains take up all my spare time as it is. I do not mean to sound selfish, but to be honest, I do not think I would have the time nor devotion to give to this VG. If I did end up joining, the chances of me playing the character in-game, level-wise, are slim.. and even less so for RP purposes.

Sorry. Better I do not join at all than join and do it half-arsed.

  9. The shadows greeted her as they always had. As she closed her eyes and blending into nothingness, she turned herself cold once more; the task she was about to complete she had done many times before, though nothing this serious. The Ziggurat, better known as the Zig to those in the business, was a large, well-secured prison. The idea, of course, is that one a prisoner goes in, they don't come back out. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule. If Arachnos busts somebody out, or if they somehow, through either sheer luck, break out. Then of course, there's death.

In Feyth's mind, sneaking into the Zig and dealing the one known certainty in life to a prisoner was a challenge she had not done before. She was certain she could accomplish it, as her skills were far from lacking. She moved gracefully and silently through the main doors of the Zig, the receptionist completely oblivious to her presence. She couldn't help but grin to herself that the mortal eyes of those around her missed so much. She concentrated slightly more as she walked straight through mulitiple rooms, the layout of the Zig still in her mind. She knew where she was going. She knew, that in all honesty, she did not need to visit this place to know where everything was. Signs clearly marked cell blocks and areas. She again could not restrain herself from grinning. They try so hard to keep people in, but mark the exits farely well.

The prisoners on either side of her were also completely oblivious. Though many may have seen her had they not been in the Zig, she knew their powers were weakened considerably. Taking a left, and then a right, she arrived at the cell where her mark sat. One death mage. Last Sunrise. Feyth found the name appropriate. The man obviously did not realise that the sunrise he had experienced earlier in the day would certainly be his last. Slipping through the bars, she drew her blade silenty and confidently. The mark was meditating, a practice all to common to most Death Mages, or indeed most Thorn members.

Some say most assassins are so confident that they let their target know they are there moments too late. Feyth, on the other hand, simply did not see the need. She stood to the side of the Death Mage, and rested her blade inches away from the man's throat. Her cold blade would be the last thing he would ever feel in this life.

As the clock struck midnight, the Death Mage's last breath was drawn. He fell to the ground, never again to see a sunrise.

    The Last Sunrise

((EDIT: Oops! This -might- be better suited in the Creative boards! Sorry!))

((Originally only to be posted on the Militia boards, but I was happy with it.))

The small group of Thorn members, barring one, never knew what hit them.

Moments before they were crushed, the heroine Sarah “Lady” Patriot sat perched on the roof above the alley they were in. She looked down on them with intense hatred, the anger inside her building. They were discussing the finer points of summoning and demons when the car came down on them from above. Three of the five were knocked out instantly. A shadow dropped down and a super-strength fist to the back of the head took care of the fourth. The fifth, now shaking like a leaf, looked at his attacker.

She stood, fists clenched, blonde hair blowing in the wind. She stared at the young Thorn with utter disgust and amazing intensity. The Thorn knew he couldn’t win, and turned to run. He heard the young blonde heroine behind him mutter to herself, and screamed out in pain as a large rock broke both his legs. He feel, clutching his shins, frantically muttering to himself.

Sarah walked up the young man and pulled him up effortlessly by his collar. He shivered as she looked into his hidden, glowing eyes.
“What have you done to her?” the heroine demanded, her voice filled with anger and disgust.
“W-what?” The Thorn filled his voice with uncertainty, hoping to fool the young heroine.
“Ebon Tear. I know you know what I’m talking about.”
“I’m not going to tell you!” the Thorn replied, masking himself in false courage. Sarah saw straight through the mask and grasps the young Thorn’s right hand in hers, her thumb pressed against his index finger.
“I’m asking you politely. What do you know?” The young man shook his head sternly, and then screamed in agony as Sarah pushed his finger all the way back.
    “Aaah! What are you doing!?”
“One little piggy.” The heroine spoke calmly, hiding the immense anger she felt building up once again. The same anger that forced her to flee Paragon some week ago. Sarah frowned as the Thorn began to crack.
“Ebon Tear, the heroine? Y-yeah, I do know of her, she was the one that put one of our Death Mages in prison last week, but—”
“Death Mage? What’s he called?” The Thorn once again shook his head sternly, which was soon followed by another crack. “Two little piggies.”
“Okay, okay! We call him ‘Last Sunrise’!”

Sarah pushed him to the ground and remained cold. She punched him in the head as he tried to stand, barely pulling it enough to ensure he was only unconscious. Sighing, she cracked both his legs back into place, followed by his fingers. She then left, jumping out of the alley into the afternoon sky. Her thoughts were directed to Sophie as she sped home to research the Death Mage. Sophie was Sarah’s friend. She was also Sarah2’s friend. Sarah knew, from the memory of the Sophie in Sarah2’s dimension, they were more than friends. Sarah2 lost her Sophie.

    Sarah wasn’t losing hers.

    Patriot on the Run!
    --------------------------
    By Ian McKenzie

Last night, at approximately 11:15, the much-wanted ex-heroine Lady Patriot was finally found by three Longbow squads. Longbow had earlier received an anonymous tip as to her whereabouts, and the squad was dispatched. She was found taking the train to Stell Canyon, where she was intercepted and was asked to come peacefully.

Witnesses say Lady Patriot attacked the squad, knocking them all unconcious and breaking most of thier bones. Luckily, nobody was fatally hurt, and all agents are expected to recover fully. The ex-heroine, however, immediately left the scene, and her current whereabouts are unknown.

If you have any information regarding the capture or location of Lady Patriot, please contact us at the address found below.

  13. Saturday Night:

An eventful night for Sarah. It started okay. She had just gotten off duty and spotted Shydow Flysh at the bar, and decided to go and see him. He gave her a lovely Valentines gift; a never melting rose made of ice. They then moved to another bar to talk. Sarah had been dreading this talk all week, and needed to confess to Shydow what she had been doing with a certain red-head. He spoke to her about his past, and why he left Karral. He started saying how bad he was at being a boyfriend, to which Sarah told him she was worse.

That's when it started going downhill. She told him about her relationship with the Mysterious Red-Head and he didn't take it well. He just said nothing. No reaction. He left, saying:
    [ QUOTE ]
Well, I guess it's my fault, can't be angry at you, eh! So, maybe another talk, in a few days? Yes, that sounds good!

    [/ QUOTE ]

He promptly ran off, leaving Sarah completely and utterly crushed. She went down to the lower bar to cry, when Nightschild, or Nick, came to greet her. After screaming "Why can't I stop <effing> things up..? Every single time.. Every single <EFFING> time!" and kicking a hole in the bar, Nick started to worry. It also drew the attention of Arrow Flame and Ebon Tear, who tried to help best they could. Arrow Flame was far from helpful, but he had good intentions.

Sarah burst out crying, telling Nick that the week's events had finally gotten to her. Roselin Thorne telling her she was one of two, and she was still with Ms. Behave, Shydow's obviously depressed reaction, the PPD almost arresting her and her recent arguement with her parents. After a little chat, Sarah left to go home and sleep. She's currently avoiding both Roselin and Shydow, and probably will until she sorts things out.

Later that night, a mysterious new-comer arrived at Pocket D. The Drow known as Alvarie was greeting by Nightschild, Arrow Flame, Carrion Paw and Blackrun. She had a conversation with all of them, mostly about magic and aura's. She was particularly interested in Arrow Flame, being an Angel.

She later took a tour of Balthory Castle. Despite some language problems, which were eventually overcome, Alvarie had a good time.

It seems Sarah's life is becoming a soap opera. Curious.

  14. Sunday Night

As Sarah was broken-down, she did not go to Pocket D. Oddly enough, her dimensional double, Fallen Patriot, better known as Sarah2, turned up and spoke to Arrow Flame. Arrow Flame was puzzled as to why Sarah2 didn't recognise him, but he found out in the end. Shortly after, Roselin Thorne arrived, and talked to Sarah2 about Sarah1. Sarah2 explained that she was feeling upset, and that this was because of Sarah1. Roselin decided she needed to talk to Sarah1, so she tried to contact her over Sarah1's comm unit.

Sarah1 just said "I'm sorry" and hung up, so Roselin decided she should go to Sarah1's house to check on her, hugging Sarah2 as she left (making Sarah2 feel a little forlorn in the process), leaving her with Arrow Flame and the inconspicuous Blackrun, known only as 'Mort'. After a few conversations, and the occasional sad glance at Ebon Tear, Sarah2 left.

Over at the Patriot residence, Roselin was conforting Sarah1 and helping her feel better. Sarah1 promptly fell asleep in her embrace. This morning, Sarah1 left Roselin to sleep and leap across Paragon to an unknown location to think and access her current situation.

Later that night, Sarah2 decided to go back to Giza in St. Martial, when she stumbled upon Nightschild, better known as Nick. After a breif conversation, they decided to team up, as Nick said he might need a friend to watch his back. After beating up some Circle of Thorns in a *groan* sewer, they had to part ways. Nick suggested that Sarah2 spend the night at the Giza, and that he would pay to repay her for the work she helped him with. She didn't like the idea until Nick mentioned:

    [ QUOTE ]
"With strippers to warm the bed if you so desire - I owe you something for helping me out, at least."

    [/ QUOTE ]
In which Sarah2 agreed. They headed back to the Giza, and that was the day over.

    (As a sidenote, Sarah2 picked a red-head. I'm looking at you, Roselin! )
  15. Sarah has some over-the-top strengths; but then, "with great power comes great responsibility". And weaknesses.

She can literally lift most buildings and is impervious to most types of physical harm. But lifting anything heavier than a few tons puts a great strain on her arms, so she can only do it in emergencies. And because she is impervious to physical damage, bar a few exceptions, she is extremely vulnerable to mental attacks (And that has nothing to do with her hair colour!)

She's also got a few personality flaws; she far too trusting and honest, and one could probably befriend her and learn her major weaknesses. She's also very vulnerable to flattery or anything to do with the subject of *ahem* you-know-what *ahem*, as Nightschild and Roselin will testify.

So, there. Strong, but with quite a few weaknesses!
  16. Saturday night was not a good night for Sarah "Lady" Patriot.

It started quite well. Sarah arrived in Pocket D meeting Arrow Flame for the first time in ages. Her boyfriend, Shydow Flysh arrived shortly after, and seemed very distant and his voice trailed off every now and then. Sarah was worried, and after he left, felt extremely sad suddenly. Nightschild arrived after Sarah had run off crying, and was worried when she came back. He decided to phone the alternate Sarah to see if she had anything to do with this sudden sadness.

As he was talking, Shydow Flysh arrived again, telling Sarah he was angry because of 'Dragonfly and Genesis Blade's escape to other dimensions, an idea which he didn't seem terribly fond of.

Nightschild finished his phone call to the other Sarah, and revealed that she was thinking about her dead family, and that this Sarah was not as emotionally hardened as her alternate counter-part. This didn't stop Sarah from feeling sad, however. Shydow Flysh ran off, leaving Sarah and Nightschild on their own. Nightschild then recieved a text message from his girlfriend, Zeyna. Sarah was left on her own with Arrow Flame, and decided to leave. She ran off, telling Nightschild that she'd had enough.

Sarah has suffered a breakdown due to stress from the alternate Sarah, her relationship with Roselin Thorne and Shydow Flysh, and being pursued by the PPD. She is currently not answering her phone, or any comm units.

((Sorry if there's anything wrong with the post, I'm still new to foruming here.))
  17. Hello everybody!

Recently, I have begun drawing again after I stopped about a year ago for various reasons. After roleplaying and generally being inspired by people's imagination and artwork, I began drawing again.

Trouble was, I'd forgotten how to.

So! Recently, as I said, I've been trying to get my 'talent' back. And I've been doing this by drawing lots and getting people to give advice! I realise I'm not the best artist in the work, nor am I practiced, but without further ado:

    http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...dy_Patriot.jpg
This is the first image I drew. I got a bit of feedback on it, mostly about her figure and how old she looked. Deciding she didn't look old enough, I started focusing on anatomy and such.

    http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...rSelectArt.png
This is the second attempt, one I finished today. Dropping the face details in favour of getting the body right was hard for me to do, as I think the face tells a lot about a person.

So, tell me what you think!
    Thanks in advance!
