That's tough to say, it depends if there's a BIOS update for your MB that'll allow it to recognize CPUs like the Pentium E6xxx series. Still Socket 775 but with a faster FSB (1066 vs 800MHz). For less than $90 you can get the 3.2GHz Pentium E6700. Not only it's clocked faster but the higher speed FSB benefits graphics by providing more data bandwidth from the CPU to the Northbridge which talks to the video card.
The problem with a motherboard and CPU upgrade is you will also have to get RAM too, unless you are using DDR3 already. Both Intel Socket 1156 and 1366 is DDR3 only and AMD's Socket AM3 CPUs can use DDR2 if used in an older Socket AM2+ motherboard.
XBit-Labs just did a review of "value" CPUs. Informative if you decide on a full guts replacement, MB, CPU and RAM. -
Why don't you post a CoHHelper report, or even the Dell's model number. 3.2GHz and XP doesn't tell us a whole hell of a lot. It'll be easier than playing 20 questions.
Here's a question that can't be answered by a CoHHelper report, is buying the card online an option or are we talking Fry's or BestBuy only? -
That's basically the same progression of news from the original Night of the Living Dead.
The movie runs from the middle of the afternoon to the next morning or afternoon. The first news reports were about a murder epidemic and only later about the dead walking with instructions about immediately burning the recently dead and destroy the brain of those who were already up and about.
Of course after 40 years the idea of forming hunting parties to go tag all the local walkers in your community would be unheard of today. We would be glued to the TV or radio and expect the "authorities" to handle it. -
Quote:1966-1967That beign said, Green Hornet shouldn't really be all that forgotten, considering there was a TV show centered on him in the 70s(?)
Even though it had two tie-ins with the campy Batman, it was actually done as a serious show. Don't forget back then both shows were on prime time, which started at 7:30 back then. Time Tunnel followed The Green Hornet on Friday nights.
Plus it introduced Bruce Lee to a large number of impressionable kiddies.

In my tween years it was David Cassidy that made all the young girls swoon.
As for Ms Cyrus she did come from a musical family, got into acting when she was young and the part of Hanna Montana seemed perfect for her but it wasn't created for her. It's success and tie in marketing made her outrageously popular but like other young Disney divas such as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera of The Mickey Mouse Club a generation before, her transition from child star/role model to young adult has become tabloid material due to the more adult nature of her music, choreography and stage wardrobe. -
I was expecting the father/son duo to bring Rick up to speed but I can understand Rick having more pressing business like tracking down his wife and son, plus the shock of what seemed to have happened, post coma haze, etc. never asked (on camera at least).
But at some point he has to ask. He's the viewers proxy. Just general things like when did it start and how fast society disintegrated. I don't need a WWZ recap. Did people wake up one morning with the dead wandering the street? Did it start somewhere and spread? Even Zombieland gave us a 10 second explanation of what Columbus knew. -

I think there's a 10.10d now.

I would also like to know how long ago and how fast it went to "hell in a hand basket". I'm going to assume there would have been newscasts like the ones from "Night of the Living Dead" informing the general populous to stay indoors, bolt their doors and windows.
I would imagine that survivors where more rural than urban, lower zombie density should help with initial survival rates. -
It wasn't shown. You only saw him open the door, go into her cabin and close the door. Now how did he ditch his escort and what really painful way a SciFi geek like Eli can come up with offing him. I vote for spacing, it's a classic.

Same quarter to quarter numbers.
3QY09 - 5471 million won = $4.40 million US (3QY09 average exchange rate 1243.32370 Korean won to $1 US)
2QY10 - 3491 million won = $2.99 million US (2QY10 average exchange rate 1167.69275 Korean won to $1 US)
3QY10 - 5709 million won = $4.81 million US (3QY10 average exchange rate 1187.31793 Korean won to $1 US)
So the quarter is up year to year. I guess Going Rogue did well.
For giggles 3QY08 was 6193 million won which was equal to $5.81 million with the average exchange rate being 1066.12848 KWN to 1 USD.
As for Aion, when it first came out in Asia, NCSoft year to year sales doubled for that quarter and profits were up over 400%. Aion was almost as big as Lineage I and II combined that quarter (4QY09).
Edit: Historical conversion rates found at Oanda.

OK, who wrote this episode, Joss Whedon?
Well, the cat is out of the bag now about the bridge. Now the question is whether or not Russ is spinning yet another tale. -
Well DDR2 and DDR3 is pretty much the same here in the states with DDR3 actually a little cheaper in some cases. I'm comparing DDR2-800 Cas 5 to DDR3-1333 Cas 9.
AMD's socket AM3 CPUs support either DDR2 or DDR3 but it's to allow backward compatibility with socket AM2+ motherboards. -
Also any XP debt received for being defeated is first taken from any patrol XP you may have accumulated.

Reminds me of Red Sun, on steroids.

Quote:Except he isn't "Disney" and neither is that movie, it's MTV which is Viacom.Want to know the definition of torture? I had to sit through the Justin Beiber 'movie' preview before Megamind started. There's nothing worse than a hollywoodized 'inspirational story' about a young, white, middle class 'nobody' that got picked to be Disney's new poster-child.
I may not like the concept of manufactured teen stars in the US but we have nothing on Japan. -
While the performance gap between the 5770 and the 5830 is fairly narrow (~15%), the gap between the 5770 and the 6850 is a lot more reasonable (~40%). Gap between the 6850 and the 6870 isn't that large, also only around 15%. If you are looking at performance per dollar, the 6850 is the better choice simply because the current price difference is around 30% for only a 15% improvement.

I thought the relationship existed in the first episode, the breaking off of the kiss was for the boy's sake.
Still don't have a time frame for how long Rick was in a coma. How much time has passed since he was presumed dead (I assume when they heard the hospital was overrun they assumed he was a goner).
I'm guessing white trash is going to have to saw off his hand to escape. I was hoping they were going to throw him off the roof as the distraction. -
One more thing, you might have a problem with the CPU cooler fitting on that motherboard. The heat sink adjacent to the cpu socket is fairly tall along the lower edge of the CPU socket (look at the pictures of the motherboard at NewEgg, the blue ribbon with Asus on it).
Thought of this after reading the review of the fancier (adjustable mood lighting, oh boy!) version of the V6 over at Guru3D where they were forced to mount the heat sink with the fans pointing up and not to the rear due to a too tall heat sink on their motherboard. It's talked about on page 6 of the review.
As to my previous post. Just didn't want you to think that the 6850 was as fast as the 5850 (6850 > 5850 in the numbering scheme therefore shouldn't it be faster?). I've seen too many posts from people using that logic.
Also there are a few people who think more cores must be better and disregard clock speed. Glad to know you have a practical reason for a hex core.
If you were just a gamer then I would have told you to shunt the $45-50 you would save from going with the quad into the graphics card budget and get the HD 6870 or even a super overclocked GTX 460. -
Looks reasonable. Just two points. Informational only.
First the HD 6850 falls bellow the HD 5850 in general performance but better than either the HD 5770 or 5830 (not hard).
Second for around $45-50 less you can get the Phenom II X4 970 BE which runs at 3.5GHz instead of only 3.2GHz. Unless you have a reason for needing two more cores, or you are planing to OC the CPU so stock clocks aren't important. I'm guessing OCing with by your heatsink choice. -
Well since the question is about the HD 6850 it would be less. The HD 6850 fall between the HD 5850 and the HD 5770, maxing at 127 watts for itself which is about 25-30 watts less than the HD 5850 and 20-25 watts more than the HD 5770 (all at stock clocks).
127 watts is a tad over 10.5 amps at 12 volts. So worse case lets say a Crossfire configuration will use 130 watts and 11 amps at 12 volts more than whatever the single card requirements are.
AMD lists only a 500 watt PSU minimum but no amps at 12 volts requirement, they rarely if ever list an amp value. Checking over at XFX and Sapphire, they both only list the official 500 watt requirement, nothing on amps or Crossfire. MSI doesn't officially list anything at all on power requirements other than the need of a 6-pin PCIe power connector on the product page.
That link you provided HwaRang looks to be in the ballpark, rounded within 50 watts for the Crossfire numbers but I would try to stick with the 500 watts for a single card and probably 30 amps at 12 volts but it depends on your system, CPU wattage, any overclocking of the video card or CPU, etc. Your mileage may vary. -
Yea, there was a few threads about it over on the Comic Hero/Villain boards.

Quote:That was a case of getting to do what you always wanted to do ... and then accidentally smoother it because you lack perspective.Hey, people break out of their norms all the time. Everyone thought that Peter Jackson was a brilliant director, and he managed to break out of that mold for King Kong.

I see it time and time again. Ghost Rider, Cage love that comic book and we get Elvis on fire.
Trish Ledoux with Viz when they got the green light to dub Ranma just after a loving fansub group just finished up the first season back in 93. I still get chills down my spine from those early dubs, the scratching glass kind.
Chris Roberts and the Wing Commander movie. He created the game and directed that disaster. -
