They barely feel like bosses, though. They're like friendly/escort NPC's you get in mission to aid you that are labelled as Hero.
-
Might be easier to get some level 30 FFA's in the Arena if you want to limit it to Scrappers and Brutes (Tanks?).
-
It's not much worse than keeping it in a briefcase. Just tell yourself he accesses a pocket dimension... that's in his bones.
/Signed for this, might be fun. -
ET was always going to get changed at some point or another - I'm surprised it's taken so long.
I'm pretty sure it is (was) the highest danage single target attack, the fact that you could fire it off so quickly with so little rooting was a bit silly. Fun, but silly. -

Hello all,
I just started this game 2-3 months ago, and I must say I like it much. I have leveled a bunch of toons, several past 40s. My only issue is the (relative) inactivity on villain side (making it hard to team sometime), and especially the inactivity in pvp zones. Coming from a game where I used to pvp hardcore 24/7, I just feel like I miss a part of the game.
That's why I'm considering moving to US servers. I just opened a trial account there to test the ping and see how it goes. I can see that my attack chain is a bit less fluid than what i'm used to on euro side, but i dont think it would be a huge issue for pve.
I just wanted to ask if there are any people pvping (or playing) on US servers from europe. How is the ping for you ? Is it a real issue, or nothing big ?
Thanks for the answers

If you enjoy PvP then your in for a big disappointment in this game. The PvP is so broken it needs to be remade from the ground up as the game was designed as a pure PvE game and PvP was added as an after thought. And it seems every time to tey to fix it just make it worse and worse.

You need to go back to some of the earlier previews and news releases before the game went in to Beta/Live. PvP was planned.
It just wasn't implemented when the game went live, which was a mistake. -

Just set down all heavy damages single target powers as fire, energie, SS and new FX/time for every biggest power. Also reduce tohit from every zoning powers. Lower buff and debuff of the same % as the inspiration has been decreased. Give an inherent mag2 resist all mezz to all and that we cant use inspiration in pvp. Give a bigger range to melee ATs. nerf superjump and fighting jump to make it not so easy to play. Lower time and magg off all mezz. Reduce all stacking effect buff/debuff/mezz. Increase suppression time for phase and hibernation from 1 to 3min. Add some shield spe inherent in def/resist to all, depending on primary and secondary set origin. Give something like empathy to vilains. And then we can talk about "fair pvp".
[/ QUOTE ]
No. I'm sorry but things like lowering damage accross the board and disallowing inspirations is just a bad idea. -

The game is edging into "too easy" allready.

The PvE game is already there and has been for a while now. -
Sets should, in my opinion, unless the top set is out performing by a ludicrously large margin.
Bring powers up to where Energy Transfer was with the old animation would be insane though. -
Maybe they do, you're missing the point entirely. As it stands Cimerora hardly classes as Content or a Zone and RWZ has been the ONLY addition to the game that is "co-op" and has any serious content in. You cannot list Ouroborous as co-op content because both sides are restricted to Hero only or Villain only content, they cannot team with eachother. Therefore they cannot co-operate.
Unless you're saying they can't work towards the same goal - but if you do then can you please petition for the removal of groups like Malta, Lost, Freakshow, Vahzilok etc... from Villains too. -

imo ML is a team buff, not a self buff
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes - but with a Night Widow you can work in perma mind link to hit the soft def cap and go for IO bonus' that aren't +Def. -
I think they need to look at increasing the difficulty (optionally, of course) of the game that isn't "hurr lets make them another level higher".
Killing things much higher level than you is just tedious, but not always hard. -
Random -speed/jump/fly isn't the answer.
It's far, far too debilitating and arbitrary. -
Powers like Knockout Blow, Frost, Cleave etc... already have a range greater than 5ft. I think the furthest is KO Blow with 13ft.
This is one another reason they can't just double or triple the range in PvP without issue. In order to make 95% of melee powers at 15ft (which I think would actually work really quite nicely for kiting someone or trying to catch up to them) KO Blow'd become 39.6ft. That's almost the same base range as something like Blaze and Bitter Ice Blast. -
Melee's tricky to fix, they can't have it so each hit will supress your opponents travel pwer and any % chance of that would be way, way too unreliable to make any serious difference. The best thing would be to double or triple the range on melee attacks, at least for melee orientated AT's like Tanks etc... (10ft or 15ft) but that really doesn't stick with the whole "melee" thing.
-
I'd of been happy if ET had kept an animation time at around 2seconds. Maybe edging 2.2 or 2.3 tops (like Widow; Eviscerate).
2.67 is that little bit too long, however. The TF change is inconsequential for PvP IMO. -

IMO perm'ing mindlink is totaly worthless when NW's and Fort's can hit the def soft cap quite easily.
[/ QUOTE ]You don't team much, do you?
[/ QUOTE ]
^^^ This. And ML also has 30% res(psi).
So why would you NOT perma it??? I would rather skip Elude than ML.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd definitely take ML over Elude. I've used Elude for actual Defense I think twice since I've gotten it. Generally I pop it for a laugh when I want to run really fast unsurpressed, 3rech 3run ftw! -
Battle Maiden doesn't have anything overly hard about her, it's all S/L damage and mostly melee. There's no self heal or Mez (at range) etc...
-
I can manage her on my Fire/Rad without much issue - but I've seriously cranked my Recovery up with IO's.
-
/Kin should be able to handle an AV without too much issue, especially with PA to keep you alive.
-
There's far too much CoT content in Villains in my opinion; how about swapping some things around and introducing your "Morea Clan" with this contact so they don't come out of the blue in the higher level contacts arc?
-
Because Invul isn't quite up to scratch compared to basically every other set?
-
Considering that 1-40 in CoV is pretty much all about Arachnos getting a handle on just how special/powerful you are and then letting you buddy up with a Patron to see what you can do, they probably would know who you are.

Yes, but what about having them room after room?
[/ QUOTE ]
I fail to see how having the same encounter, multiple times, makes the individual encounter harder.
[/ QUOTE ]
Because it distracts and annoys you. That's what the real challenge hinders. It's not their power, it's the repetion. There's lots of XP/Imf/Prestige involved - are you willing to face the most annoying thing in your life to benifet? (a bit like farming, I suppose)
The greatest burden isn't the enemy's strength.
[/ QUOTE ]
Considering how easily some teams tear through mobs, having lots of something doesn't automatically equal a tough slog. -
This is city of heroes, having some enemies in room after room isn't a huge issue.
There's no item durability or limited inventory, you'll get Inspirations when you defeat things so not even those are finite and things like health and endurance can be topped up via buffs or, shock horror, using Rest.
