I'm planning an alt based on a Werewolf character I played years ago. But was wondering, how gimped are Claws these days?
[/ QUOTE ]
Claws is great, the attacks chain fantastically, with regen you can just keep attacking for ever. Just make sure you take follow up. -

No Way!?

"Electrode has defeated Imp"
Ha!

Those guys haxed lol, but oh man nothing was more fun than herding all those bots. After 41 with fireball imps just felt redundant.

pvp fire is underpowered tho
[/ QUOTE ]
No way dude, fire does insane damage and is a damage dealing controlle. For control it has a single target, hold, single target immobilze and a group immobilze to use to set up containment along with nasty damaging pets, thats all i need. Not to mention smoke, which is just great for the -perception. I rate fire above illusion. Fire is just so good in PvE though, i'm hesitant to respec into pure PvP, but then again i'm not fire/kinetics. :P
Fire/kinetics is [censored] hot, never seen mobs go down as fast as with fire/kinetics -
NOOOO not sunday!!!! I'm working at T in the park this weekend!!! Gah!! Make it the following sunday!

Doesn't matter about min/maxed builds in a team, first and foremost priority of a PvP team is to learn team skills and tactics, learn each others strength's and weaknesses, learn how to trust each other etc.
Right now i think all the sword players have the right builds themselves, just need to learn how to team together in PvP. Until you sort teaming out, theres no difference from a Pick up PvP team. -
Cheers mate, thats where i got the rad debuff, but theres still no freezing rain and tornado debuff numbers >_<

I've been using hurricaine more and more now, mainly as a herding tool, as with fortitude I can herd lots of mobs, mainly use it to PL SG and close friends. A really useful trick with hurricane is to use your AoE immobilze, if the group is immobilzed its much easier to control them when grouping them up with hurricaine. This is very useful when dealing with dispersed mobs who aren't nicely grouped up together.

PvP doesn't always mean duals bud, especially if your a defender
All the defenders which have been listed are teamers. I used to dual, gave that up
-
You are definately right aswell, those 3 are just incredible. Gatling is a great teamer very self sufficient. I've just been so used to seeing those two in duals and they are nuts hehe.
-
Can't name top 5 for everyone, it'll be to hard!
Blasters:
Captain Freon
Plight Trawler
Gatling
Eden Delphen
Ryorn
Defenders:
Shaman X
Elerith
Salla
Empath
Decebellion
Tanks:
X-plosive
Novocaine
Infi
I don't know many other tanks :/
Scrappers:
Nightbringer (on his ma/regen and spiney)
Chives
Sechs
Kianna Cyr
Knight Stalker
Controllers:
Mesmer
Archy on all his controllers.
Xanthus
Dr Mambo

The debuff from RI is the same as the to hit debuff..so about 22.5/25%?
freezing rain is NOT worth slotting on it imo unless you go 3 recharge 1 acc 2 defense debuff (didn't even knew that was possible lol)
no idea about tornado:/
[/ QUOTE ]
Found out defence debuff on RI is 30% I know tornado defence debuff is huge, i can hit someone in pff with tornado, leave it on for a sec or two thereafter i can hit through pff. It literally floors any high defence with no resistance to defence debuff. I want to know freezing rain defence debuff as a comparison.
Looked high and low, sadly can't find the numbersAny idea how to test defence debuff values?
-
Hey folks,
I was just wondering if anyone has a link to the defence debuff numbers on certain powers for controllers. I'm particulary looking at the storm and rad set- Radiation Infection, Freezing Rain and Tornado.
Cheers P.N -
I'd like to play an ice/devices blaster.
My schedule, i haven't got a job yet and exams are over so i'm free pretty much everyday during the day, except on weekend nights and thursday nights. Some weekday nights i'm also seeing the gf, i really don't have a fixed schedule!! -
Hey guys, yeah i've taken a look at glasgow thread, but i'm actually on holiday during this meet up
-
Hehe, i've actually been reading your mmoart thread on US forums its fantastic, i also loved your work for the cartoon for a players son.
Great job once again -

Any suggestions for patron powers? (still for pvp only)
i thought about taking boxing/tough along with charged armor, making a total of 50% s/l res and 35% energy. im taking acrobatics too, to have at least some hold/KB res. recovery is still above 2.0, which is more than most of my other builds, plus i can have 2 end drains with transference/power sink.
but then again theres black scorp, who offers -fly powers, which, combined with ice/kin could be really great in pvp.
imagine web cocon - freeze ray (-rech -spd) - siphon speed - and [add ice chaingun here]
stop it from running, stop it from flying, kill it
but. his armor gives 20% (slotted) s/l def instead of res, making boxing/tough useless.
im coming from a couple of brutes, so i like beeing able to take a good amount of damage before faceplanting. is that any reasonable? or would boxing/tough be a waste of powers really for a corruptor?
ghost widow: good armor, but soul drain probably isnt good for pvp. plus i dont need another hold.
mako: good armor, but the other powers dont offer any convincing advantages like -fly, end drain or something.
i dont plan to take pets, and i dont need holds or something. so basically i would take armor+tool only from PPP.
help anyone?

Hard one for PvP, its really between two sets, mu mastery and black scorpion. Mu mastery if you want to play sapper, and drain endurance with the power sink/transference combination, which should be really effective, or black scopion for the -jump, that coupled with ice blast and siphon speed slows should be really nasty. All together mu mastery has the better armour and the endurance drain so i'd be inclined to take that, but -jump is just so nasty in PvP. -
I wouldn't go fly route unless its concept, Stormies are best grounded as its very very hard to control hurricaine with fly. Superspeed would be best choice imo. Also I'd recommend getting aid self for yourself, and getting stimulant as some form of status protection for your team, acrobatics would also be very useful,if you use hurricaine a lot in PvE knockback powers can be a real pain, acrobatics really helps.
-
Your going to have serious endurance problems with that build, you won't be able to run with that kind of recovery, after one assassin strike>energy transfer>total focus combo, you'll shortly go out of power while escaping and using teleport.
No point copying elernets build his is issue 6, and worked with toggle knocks. It also fitted his ideas of playing. I think you need to test your stalker out yourself, and find a build that suits your own personal playstyle, as his stalking style may not suit you.
Not a very good build, you've taken fear pool, over stamina.
Your running teleport and fly, its totally not worth it. Hover and tp is fine, and that saves you a slot.
You haven't got any melee defence.
You haven't slotted any kind of defence, good luck getting through auras.
You don't have status protection??!!!!!!
Aside from teleport, you don't have good movement to get away, and good luck running when your held.
