  1. I'd love to have an arm bracer that covered the length of the forearm but left the hand bare. I've been making do with the cloud bracer but it's not ideal. The other bracer has decoration on it.
  2. If the way I've spent my allowance is any indication - then free2play has been crazy successful. I spent, I dunno easily $500 + VIP on this game. I just gotta have all the things!
  3. Happy Bday speedy mcquick.

Oh, I'm such a liar. I dressed up as Anbaric Amber instead. She did a great job. 6/8 K/D which I think to me feels good as a blaster completely unprep for PVP'in.

    Fright Fest!

I've sent my mains to Japan for a while, I don't know if they'll come back. I might bring an alt to the party. I'd hate to miss out on all the fun just because I'm going psycho.
  8. I didn't have too much trouble with him at the end. I used my lvl 45 brute and had plenty of greens, blues, and oranges and she was able to foot stomp his minions into confusion long enough to beat the main down and keep him from regenerating. She did have to come at him twice but I bought the resurrection power for her thinking that she might need something like that for this mission. So she didn't defeat him straight up but she didn't have to hospital either.

    Fright Fest!

I will be there if I can manage to avoid being grounded between now and then.

    Out of curiosity

You might also try the City of Formspring channel on Virtue and the in-character Formspring. There's a post about is somewhere around here. I'm on it and I've been on several absolutely epic in-character teams and missions and such. It's been great so far.

  11. Pink Lantern - that's it...that's the only name I wanted. I got the best theme! But I'm sure their Pink Lantern is pretty cool too.

  12. For me, it's all about the costumes and the characters. I don't really get that heavy into playing the actual game for badges, salvage, or unusual power sets. I immediately spent all my points and then some on costume pieces and costume slots. It is VITAL that all my characters have the maximum number of wardrobe changes and hair styles. Now my main has an outfit for every season, a secret identity, and multiple mission specific looks. It's so great!!!
  13. I've decided that one of my favorite toons, Praetorian Ako, is going to die in the defense of Galaxy City. I don't want to do this but I feel that for the sake of the story and my participation in it, some sacrifice is necessary. There's no way that Galaxy City could fall and it not impact someone in my pantheon. And I don't want it to be some lame, 3rd stringer who gets taken out.

So when the time comes, and Galaxy City meets its fate, Praetorian Ako will be there fighting until the end. Then I'll delete the character so I'm not tempted to revive her.
  14. I'm guessing the OP didn't mean crayon color but skin color maybe?

Anyway - I like gold and brown because you just don't see it that much but it's great combination to my eye.
  15. I have stealth and I have definitely been detected and p'wnd. Stealth isn't like a deathly hallow - (infinite invisibility).
  16. I spend a lot of time in Pocket D and haven't seen too much of any of this. Last night in the Chalet, someone was saying how they were picking me up and throwing me so I said, "I don't think so. It looks like I'm still standing here and you haven't moved."

He said I am supposed to use my imagination. So I said, "I think it's broken." And I walked off.

This is like the ONLY time something like that happened. However, HOWEVER, I have been harassed by several players for cyber stuff and I did report them.

For me - Levels are very important. It just makes sense. Someone who is god-moding at Level 1 needs a slap. But arguments between sets at the same level? That's all pointless to me. I KNOW my blaster can't take as much damage as your tank. I get it. But my blaster CAN inflict more damage at range. So the f' what? Look at these awesome boots aren't they cute?!

Extra powers - as long as it is close to being part of the Lore it's okay. I'd love to be immune from psychic powers - but ya know - that's not the Lore but I suppose it COULD happen once and a while.

My favorite role play involves getting deep into the Lore and trying to live like I was really there. So, if I'm at the D enjoying a drink and mention how sore I am because I got a beat down on a BAF mission - that's how I'm going to act. I'm going to act sore. Being all stupid-invulnerable and all that is lame. It is the faults and weaknesses and whatever that make a character interesting - not their *** kicking.
  17. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when I first got this game - I made a Firestar character from re-runs I saw on Disney. The show was terrible but I loved Firestars outfit and how she was like a superpowered Mary Jane Watson. I also have a Claymore based toon - but that's not really a Saturday morning cartoon show - not in the US anyway.
  18. I'd like to fly. If i could do that, I wouldn't want anything else.
  19. This is the reason I play. I mean, I love the super hero genre but that's because of the costumes, the hair, the outfits, the combinations. It's my favorite thing. I've probably spent as much time in the character creator than I've spent actually playing the game.

Unlike a previous poster, I agonize over creating a good hero name and backstory. A couple of my characters are homages but the rest are mine. Instead of paying attention in school you can find me in the back of the class hair in my face, bent over my notebook coming up with backstories, fan fiction, and names for future characters. I'm going to have a whole pantheon!
  20. My main, Anbaric Amber, is going to move to the VIP server, but the rest of my alts are all going to stay on Virtue.
  21. Let's say that my play style is teams involves me hovering away from the group and blasting from a distance. What kind of incarnate is best? Right now I have Cardio in my Alpha to keep my toggles going. I don't really see Judgement has as a good fit for a blaster since, like some have said, there's no weapon to it yet.

    Thanks,

    E.
  22. I'll be there as my main, Anbaric Amber.

From what I read in "The Physics of Star Trek" by Larry Krauss, this would be the way it would have to work because of some physics stuff. That's why it's best not to think about it.

Villains are always underestimating the heroes skill and resolve. And heroes are always underestimating the villains drive and resourcefulness.

  25. I personally blank all these lore discrepancies out of my mind when I'm role playing or writing my lame fan fiction. There such things as medical transport technologies, that much is clear but in my head it's no sure thing, it doesn't always work, and you'd rather try to get out of the situation rather than ever rely on it. In my fan fiction, my characters don't trust it. In my own head, the villains I defeat are apprehended by the police and sent to jail - but that part just isn't shown because it's boring. Like how you never see James Bond use the bathroom. Obviously he has to at some point, but that's not important to the story.

When I'm defeated (when RP as my blaster that's like every 5 mins) I pretend that I was merely knocked unconscious or knocked clear of the battle. But I don't like it when the Lore gets in the way of this and I think it would be best if the Mediport stuff didn't become a plot point because it raises too many questions with contradictory or nonsensical answers.

But I also ignore "repeat" crime. Like if I clear a mall of villains or clear the Ritki out of that bridge by the water in Founder's Falls...I'm not bummed that more appear right away. I just ignore that and continue my story as if i really cleared the area. I can't get caught up in stuff like that or it ruins the game. It's like watching a movie if you know a lot about how movies get made. The more you know, the less you can really enjoy it I think.

It's like trying to talk to NPCs, ya know? Actually, with this one thing...http://cleverbot.com/
that would be really fun if you could set that up with some NPCs...especially if you didn't tell anyone - it might actually fool people into thinking they were chatting with someone maybe - especially if their responses were Lore specific.
