Thanks for the suggestions. I didnt know if the knockback in shockwave would be good or bad? And I will also look into Rise of the phoenix. If I am not building for S/L def should i be going for recharge?

I can not get mids to update (I am assuming it has been updated for i18?). It says there is an update available.
Was just wondering if anyone else was having this problem and if so what did you do to fix it? -
I too would not take the snipe. Honestly, either you pick will do just fine.

I am sure most of the posts you read were pre i13. I am sure it can work, but just know pretty much the same investment in almost any other set will be better. I made the same mistake so i feel your pain, but it really doesnt take long to level a character.

I am going to tell you this because i made the same mistake leveling an ice/cold for pvp only to find out it wouldnt work. Ice got a huge nerf on damage for some reason on i13. There for, you can pvp with it, but you will not be as good as you could be if had of gone fire or sonic or even rad. All your debuffs will still be good and so forth. And as far as makign builds, just play with it. Look at the set bonuses you want. I do not have time to post a build right now but will try to soon.

I'm with Silas here. Def shield on a squishy is awesome. That same pool also gives an AoE immobalize which is also pretty awesome.

Fire is by far the best blast set. With that said, i think /dark is the most well rounded secondary (after leveling my fire/dark the past several days i find it to have the most tools and survivability), /cold and /rad are both excellent sets. Its hard to give an edge to one, sleet does pretty much everything all of rads toggle debuffs do (except for -tohit), but rad has a heal. That is my opinion, fire and then /dark/cold/rad in no particular order.

Sorry i missed that. But really, you need more defense than what you have. 16 def or whatever it was is not goign to help that much. If you dont want all of the kinetic combat sets or the LoTG, dont use them. Sorry for misreading your original post.

not trying to be a mean but it kinda sucks. I don't know if you are on a budget or what but try this. Alot better defense and it has better recharge.

fire, sonic, and rad are good primaries. Secondaires: cold, therm, pain, rad can all work and be better than /dark in pvp imo.
as far as how you play, generally you will want to set the target up (debuffs of any kind you can apply), then start throwing attacks...pretty simple. -
I like fire breath better than flares. Flares is like a tickle compared to the damage that fire breath does.

not at all. Dark brings alot to the team. It has imo the best heal in the game (a heal that debuffs...throw it whenever its up it's awesome). tar patch is a great power that debuffs as well as keeps mobs close so the AoE can really tear them up. You have a great rez power that doubles as an offensive AoE stun. Dark is a great team set.

IMO Perspective, I think your build has the edge. -
I think it is a pretty solid build. I personally would take tactics and vengeance over web cocoon and summon disruptor, but the pet can be nice especially since you have enough recharge so it is nearly perma. And the extra recharge IO in RoF, i would move it to an Acc IO in benumb. It only gives you 2 seconds of added recharge, and the acc in benumb is a bit low given its recharge. You want it to for sure hit when you use it.
Solid build, may actually use it for my fire/cold if i ever decide to finish leveling him =/ -
I do not know a terrible amount about building PCs, but I am aslo about to upgrade. I am doing the prebuilt (after looking at prices, i can get a better system than what i could have built since I am not willing to try building my own). One system was running dual 5770s and the other a single 5850. After doing some research, I have decided to go with the single 5850. the 5770's in crossfire would give better performace, but I also read they will suck up 10 watts more at a stand still and nearly 70 more under load than the single 5850. Also you can run into problems if you play other games that do not support the crossfire and will be taken down to the performace of a single 5770. Anyway, like I said I am no expert but sine I was looking at some of the same components on my system figured I would share what I found.

go to the PvP section, there are literally dozens and dozens of threads about psi/em builds. You shouldn't have any problems finding one you like, or at least one you can edit to your liking

You don't hear anything because its garbage for pvp...psi is king that is all you need to know. If you don't want to make a psi toon, do fire but do not take a DP toon into a pvp zone unless you just want to die

I am no brute expert, but was wondering why /elec has been left out of the mix? I know out of the box it does not really compete, but I have seen some exteremely survivable /elecs at end game with the right build.

Thank you, i did not know that was how the proc worked. Should i reslot power sink with efficacy adapter? And how is the other slotting? I only have one other scrapper and i havent played him in 4 years or so, only lvl 35 or something like that, so i am completely open to ideas

I have the steadfast unique in conductive shield. I always heard to slot the lightning field for end mod so after you use powersink the mob will have a hard time getting any end back. I mainly slotted it with 6 for the bonus. I changed it to sciroccos dervish though for the same defense bonus. Unless i am completely missing something though, i dont see how i can get to teh softcap. I dont know if i should be building for typed or positional. I kinda think positional? Idk, right now i have a good mix of both.
