Eventually I need to rebuild him, ripping him offa Fitness and taking into account the DM/EA changes... Been a while since he hit 50.
I will say, though, even being Single Target (I hate Maul) and running a Stealth Aura... He never seemed to suffer as a tank. Energy Drain is GREAT for keeping things pissed off at you. -

+Def, +End, +Heal, +HP.
A very solid combo, even if just on SO's. DM helps to overcome the slow starts of pre-SO Defense Sets, and the retools to EA make the Swiss-Army Knife of your primary not only faster but still affordable. -

Every level I listed you get ONE* power pick from anything you have unlocked. You can have a max of 4 Power Pools, and 1 Ancillary/Patron Pool. So, not counting any inherent powers, everyone but EAT's will have 24 powers at level 50, selected from a max of 39-43 choices (depending on how many travel pools you dipped into, since they're the only power pools with 5 power choices). -

Adding up the base damage of each power in a set and dividing by the number of damaging powers doesn't give you anything pertinent or usable. At the very least you would have to take into account that some powers affect more than one target, the differing times over which the powers animate and their availability.

Hrm, a dancing glob of ???? spewing out dubious conclusions as facts smells funny.
Known fact that the game is not played with base damage and 0 resists.
Known fact that statistics made in a vacuum can be made to dance to whatever tune desired.
Known fact that for certain tasks, powersets will perform at different levels.
One cannot take a level 50 Titan, Dark, Fire, Claws, SS, and Stone Brute, give them the same secondaries and no enhancement slotting, and expect the same performance from them. Nor can one tune them for optimal performance and expect identical results, since their differences would have been magnified.
What metric did you test them against, single target or multiple (how many if so?)?
What level of recharge did the powers have, since powers are NOT used in isolation?
Why haven't you just copy/pasted the results into a BB Code block to keep the formatting and keep people from having to download a file that you might be getting cash/click on?

Stalkers and Scrappers share Patron Pools, which grants them access to a Ranged Snipe.

So, poking through some old toons, and trying to respec up an Elec/SD Brute. Yes, I know, Scrapper is better. But this one is level 35 and has sentimental value. I can throw something together on commons to help it limp to 37, but would like to see thoughts/ideas on this build from 37 on.
Known Issues:
-I hate that I'm using Manuevers and the PvP 3%, both are too expensive (in my mind) for the benefit given, however, I don't see a way to divorce them.
-Flight is mandatory. Period. Rest of the pools, including APP/PPP is not.
-Nothing is slotted in Chain Induction, 'cause I hit the 45% goal... but without the PvP 3%, I could toss either ToD or Mako's to shore M/R respectively back above 45%.
Requests:
-Can this be cheaper/easier/better? Am I missing something? Toon mainly solo's, and is looking for strong surviveability, not +4x8. Can I just go with 32.5%+ as my goal?

Yeah, congrats to you two from yet another CoH-joined couple. Happily married for almost 2 years, and we've only know each other for 3.5! (not counting the time back in '05 when she teamed with one of my more memorable characters onna PuG)

I'm in a similar vein, but it actually applies to the two games I've ever paid into a "F2P" game (City and World of Tanks).
I constantly pass up the IO's and Insps, because they are excessively pricey for their limited scope. Why spend ~1000 points on 1 set of IO's which I'll only slot 5 (out of 6) in 1 (out of 24) power within 1 (of 50+) character? And while the increased duration, and persist through death is tasty on the team/dual Insps... those things drop for free from the game (insps, not the team/dual variants).
My first purchase, on both of my accounts, was to grab the increased storage of enhancements. Since then I've bought powersets, Ninja Run, and cape/aura unlock, with a few costume purchases here and there. Amusing thing, is that the costume pieces were all purchased for a specific character/concept, but it was worthwhile to me, since I have the option down the road to re-use it on someone else.
Within WoT I did a similar vein, all the gold I purchased with cash I used to unlock garage slots, to let me have more tanks, instead of buying a strong and powerful higher tier tank. Leftovers is being slowly whittled away to help convert experience for other tanks as I finish unlocking one.
Essentially, due to the faceted and alt-friendly nature of this game, I feel that the strongest items to place into the market are "global" or account wide, since every toon on my account can benefit from the expenditure.
So, here's to more toys for everyone, instead of just one character. -

Here's my stab at it, Zwill. I too have a Kat/Regen main who's been around for ages. And as a nod to both of the ages of our toons, here's an old-school build, with none of that new-fangled* "Invention" rubbish. This is similar to what I working on rebuilding for mine (currently only on SO's, gotta dredge all my HO's from hiding), with the caveat that I'm running Soul Mastery, since my Kat/Regen was never really a decent person (and I'm a badger). Also, I am running Incarnate content on SO's with my only level shift from my T4 Spiritual.

For now, Im rerolling my old main, a dark/dark defender, as a corruptor. I loved that char, it was so powerful (SO times, before and after ED), but the lack of damage always made me cry. Hopefully with scourging tentacles and nightfall this will change

Instead of assault I would get tactics. Dark has no -def and this fixes its only weakness nicely.
Fearsome stare needs to be slotted for -ToHit, not fear. 4 cloud senses works nicely, or 6 if you want some energy def.
Howling twilight should be slotted endredux/rech (it is autohit). I recommend 2x rech 1x endredux common IOs, if you can find a third slot.
Black hole is useless. Skip it. You can consider petrifying gaze instead, which is a good basilisk's gaze mule.

Dull Blades - Having a secondary effect that fails 1 out of 7 times in the best conditions... blech.
Having typed this, I just realized I had a nascent idea for a DB/Elec Scrapper, and leveraging enough +Rech for the BF>AS>SS>AS> Chain...
So, none?
Although I doubt I'll ever re-roll Empathy... hard to beat the concept of my Ill/Emp that's sitting dusty and unplayed at 50. -
So, dinnae get much attention posting in someone else's thread, so bringing it up here. With Agility Core Paragon, up or damn close to it... can also drop the Res/End in Shadow Fall for the PvP 3%...
Either way, how can I make this better?

Quote:BWAH!? Howling Twilight is NOT a team-mate rez. It is an offensive control, AoE Stun. It just happens to have the benefit of rezzing someone who managed to die on you through the rest of your support.
You can also skip Howling Twilight and Black Hole without too much worry. Unless you plan to team a lot, the resurrection is just useless solo... -
To add to the Fire/Dark thoughts... here's something I genned up quick for a friend's Fire/Dark. Quick notes: ~45% S/L/E, Hasten is 3 secs offa Perma, and can maintain 2 Tar Patches at all times... do they stack from Same caster? Anyhow, here's the build... thoughts/tweaks? Also it is assuming T4 Agility for the soft-cap, so will be shy as it works up to there.
