Quote:Small nitpick: it's actually per 1,200 Paragon Points purchased, not $15.00 spent. Sure, for the $15.00 purchase it's the same, but for larger "bundle" purchases those additional bonus PPs are counted. The vet badges are now Paragon Rewards tier badges, and while you still get credit for subscription time, you now also get credit for each $15 you spend on Paragon Points. The idea was to allow some way for premium players to advance in tiers as a veteran player since they do not subscribe. So subscription players get credit for each month of subscription, and on top of that all players premium or subscription get credit for each $15 they spend on paragon points.
So a $100.00 purchase gives you a base of 8,000 PPs + 1,600 bonus PPs for buying in bulk. Measured by $15.00 increments it would be only give 6 Reward Tokens; however, since the bonus 1,600 PPs count, it actually gives 8. -
Quote:Or just change sides and get Task Force Commander.Slightly off topic, but this is something that occasionally irritates me. Blue side, these explore badges are just shinies, but Red side they are all required for the Invader accolade. If you slip and miss one, you have to hope you can find someone who is running the appropriate level mayhem mission so you can tag along.
(But your point is well-taken and, like Lothic points out, has been asked for practically since Ouroboros went live.) -

It was Black Pebble who clarified for this type of situation during the last loyalty program -- I had exactly this happen to me, and had no problems. Of course, that was then and this is now, but it's logical to assume the behavior would be the same.
In any case, you can (as was suggested upthread) certainly PM him just to clarify, but like Chad, I expect there is no issue given the facts as stated. -
I can't think of any badge-related situation where a Vigilante does not equal a Hero, and a Rogue does not equal a Villain.

Quote:I don't think the plan was to be overly informative, I think it was to drop them into the game as quickly as possible so they get hooked on what it has to offer.I hadn't really looked at the tutorial till the other day when I was trying to get my wife to play, and holy crap is that confusing for new players. It is really pretty and exciting but I feel like the old tutorial was much more informative.
I believe that's why the tutorial experience per se was shortened, but the "extended tutorial" introductory mission chain was implemented. -
Quote:Hey, I recall feeling that way when I found out the same thing years ago (except that Posi has WAAY more tact than I ever could)!Matt: "Wait. Your name is actually 'Chad Gulzow,' and your character name is 'Chad Gulzow-Man?'"
Me: "Yup!"
Matt: ... *gives a look that says, "It is taking all the tact I have to not facepalm right now"* -

Quote:I agree about Disruptor, but don't agree with the time it takes to get to T3 Rebirth. With a bit of luck, a toon can go from zip to T3 in an evening of doing a few iTrials (and even without, only a few more). Contrast with the grind that we ALL know from experience is Disruptor (not to mention potential interference from other players). And there are Incarnate badges to be achieved while working on your Rebirth as well.On the other hand, it's way easier to get a toon to the point where they can farm heals in the arena. Also, any badger will want the Disruptor badge anyway, but they might want a different Destiny power.
I don't disagree that a committed badger will be going for Disruptor, but I don't think you can make an indisputable case that it's far easier that way (or the other way, for that matter). -

Quote:Yup, exactly this. I think the math pretty clearly supports using all 3 LBW2s (and that's exactly what all the badgers involved in our heal farms back in the day did without exception). There is nothing debatable about it. You want 3 LBW2. The reason is simple: the Wardens heals count on each target INCLUDING THEMSELVES.
So, if you have 3 LBW2 and 4 other gladiators (the most a hero can have), you have 3 healers hitting 7 targets. 3 * 7 = 21.
If you have 2 LBW2, you can have.... I think 7 other gladiators. This gives you 2 healers hitting 9 targets. 2 * 9 = 18. The first options gives you 17% faster healing progress.
The numbers are even better for 3 vs 2 if you have additional players on your team with additional gladiators for them to heal.
Back in the day when you needed a billion points of healing for the final badge, I would run massive heal farms. We would often have a full team on one side so there would be 60-70 healing targets. (Some players would log in a second account with a pack of cheap gladiators just to provide extra healing targets.) -

Quote:Really? A power that affects ONLY minions and underlings (for 10s/15s) is better than an AOE buff that gives +40% Damage and +10% To Hit for 30 seconds?I think Fear Incarnate is a better power than Call to Battle...
Yuck, no thanks, completely useless IMO. I'll take Call to Justice over that any time (but I agree, Frenzy is clearly the class of that group). -
Quote:Be careful quoting times, because we're fairly certain that it's not an automated situation, but a manual one. Jesse (Ghost Falcon) mentioned at the Pummit that he has to log into some system in order to push items live in the store (again, I'm not sure how or even if that affects things like story arcs being accessible to play, although I think it's logical to believe they are at least somehow related).Typically, any new market items -- including SSAs -- go live around midnight on Monday evening/Tuesday morning, Pacific time (because Paragon Studios is based in California). Sometimes a few minutes after, but not long.
So it's likely dependant on a human being's actual habits affect the situation, and my experience backs that up -- some nights, as you say, items go live around midnight-ish, but other nights it's been after 1 or even (once) 2 AM, and one time that I recall, I waited until almost 3 AM Pacific time and nothing went live (but did sometime before mid-morning the next day). -

Quote:I think LaDiva was referring to the fact that Boosters can be used with IOs to replace (to some extent) the HOs that were being used before. Pretty sure LaDiva knows HOs can't be boosted.Unfortunately, enhancement boosters can not be used on Hamidon enhancements. The best you can do is make it 50++ by combining them like you would a SO. I tried using one on a Cyto that i recently slotted in place of an enzyme in weave.

That's not what I've found in the past -- I've played them late on Monday evenings, depending on when Ghost Falcon "flips the switch" and enables them in the store (which may or may not have anything to do with enabling in-game access, but both have been live at the same time in my previous experience).
It's usually very late, though -- after midnight or 1 AM Pacific time in most cases I'm familiar with. -

In fact, to me, it seems the opposite -- the Tourist (Rogue or Vigilante, as the case may be) has MORE opportunities for stuff, since all teams on either side of the fence are open to them. That's the reason I take my most-loved toons to the middle -- if someone announces a TF or SF, I can play it on that toon regardless of alignment. For the "pure" alignments, you're out of luck.
