  1. I thought the Kill Skuls thing came from a player's bio story? Too bad for the purge though, I could use a chuckle from reading the "Lesbian Hellions" story again. That was classic...

    Edited:

    I found it!

They drive me nuts to the point I haven't gotten on my BM toon in a couple of days. It;s even worse when I'm trying to hear the faint sounds of glowies over the barking/howling.

At this point I'm thinking sound loops of Fran Drescher, Gilbert Godfrey, Bob Cat Goldwaith, Roseanne Barr, and Ozzy Osbourne would be better...

I see you don't have any Corruptors in your sig. I'd suggest Fire as a primary and Dark, Rad, or Time as your secondary.

I haven't personally played any Time toons but I hear it's a good set.

Dark is awesome because you get the big heal as well as Fluffy's heal. You also get Tar Patch which goes well with Rain of Fire. Then you have Fearsome Stare and Howling Twilight as mitigation.

Rad is nice but I like it less than Dark. But with Rad you get two toggles, which I love because you can toggle herd more badguys. You also get less healing and a slow that requires a To Hit Check unlike Tar Patch.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
  4. The drop rate for temp powers is ridiculous IMO, there have been a couple of occasions where all I got on clearing out a mission set for 8 are Temp powers. To be honest I'd rather they get rid of them from dropping and just put them in stores.

With that said, the only one I craft is the Jet Pack, and that is only on two toons that don't have much lateral movement. I had purchased Rocket Board for this reason then got tired of my toggles dropping so it's Jet Pack FTW. Speaking of Rocket Board, I feel so stupid that I didn't try it before I wasted points on it, I really wish I could get a refund, heck or even a trade...

I'm slowly working my way up to 0/8 but rather keep the mobs relatively small until I can get red side to get my PPP. I liked your build but thematically I didn't want to go Fire AP and figured Scorpion Shield is unobtrusive and beneficial. I also had a bunch of purples in storage that I figured I'd use instead of hoarding them. I only needed two to complete the build in which I traded two Ragnoraks for.

I may end up using the 3 extra slots I have for Damage/Acc 9or maybe Damage/Range) HOs in Dark Grasp and Living Shadows.

  6. I actually don't have any damage slotted in Dark Grasp or Living Shadows, in fact I have no damage slotted in any powers other than my pets and I have not had any issues with damage so far. I plan on getting Intuition Radial Paragon and Spectral Total Radial Conversion later. I may have 2 or 3 slots I'm thinking about moving around.

I'm running at 0/4 in the DA arcs, as well as against Arachnos, Freaks, Carnies and Rikti and nudging my way up slowly.

Dark Blast: 4 slotted Basilisk's Gaze

Living Shadows: 5 Slotted Grav Anchor (May use one of my extra slots)

Shadow Field: 5 Slotted Unbreakable Constraint (May eventually 6 slot with a Lockdown proc)

Tar Patch: 2 slotted 1 recharge, 1 slow (May remove 1 slot)

Haunt: 6 slotted, 4 Call to Arms 2 Recharge
  7. Normally I wouldn't post a build that I have yet to play, but this is what I have planned for my BM/DM MM. I have a lot of experience with DM so I'm playing off of that.

I tried to use as many cheap IOs as I could because the Cloud Senses are already expensive, the LoTG I have laying around already.

Remember this is a build just in theory, I have no idea how it will actually play.

Sorry bud but I think those descriptions just go on whoever is writing it's whim atm. Just look ate the info tab it will tell you the damage of a certain power.
So in the future we might get to see damage categories such as:

    Crazy Stoopid damage
    Butt load of damage
  9. I have never played an emp, but from my experience with other buff/debuffers I can say I whole heartily love this. I never really liked being a buff/debuff bot and even though defender damage is lower, the secondary effects more than make up for it IMO, even more so if they can stack. For example with your emp/rad, while the damage output isn't equal to a rad/* Corruptor, the greater -Def is nice and I believe the duration on powers like Cosmic Burst and Atomic Blast are longer.

One of my pet peeves about Kinetics was that I spent more time buffing than blasting so I love that I can spend more time blasting because IMO it doesn't matter how much you heal, buff or debuff; damage is king in this game and if you don't kill your target what's the point?
  10. I created a BM/DM MM named PETA Parker, but I'm thinking of changing it to BM/TA for thematic purposes.

Obviously we don't exactly know for sure what T-Dog was thinking about other than "going east" but as we were talking about earlier once you reach the Atlantic coast it's much easier to travel north or south from there. I-95 would give them relatively easy access to any destination from Key West up to Maine.

And for what it's worth I still don't buy the "I-95 would be too dangerous" argument. We've already seen that herds of zombies seem to be -everywhere- already. How do we know for certain that any location is any more dangerous than anywhere else? And for all they know there are cities on the coast that are still intact and/or zombie-free. *shrugs*
Along the I95 you have major cities they'd have to go through and it seems these herds favor roads for whatever reason. Then you have the potential blockage of roadways. Ever been through rush hour in the DC metro area? NJ/NY? Take the rush hour traffic of people that have to go to work and add in thousands of more vehicles as people tried to escape. I can imagine the highway being a parking lot and T-Dog doesn't strike me as a person that would have a contingency plan with alternate routes. Also in post apocalyptic situations major highways are a breeding ground for scavengers, cannibals and the other dredges of society that may have survived.

Not to mention the high populations of cities the I95 connects, Miami, Jacksonville, Savannah, Richmond, DC, Baltimore, Philly, NYC, Newark, Providence, and as if living Red Sox fans weren't bad enough... Boston.

I think she liked the idea of having two men fighting over her. I mean here they are in the middle of a ZA with very few men, let alone Alpha type men and she has two of them.

Her reaction to Rick killing Shane makes me wonder if they had something going on beforehand? Rick was in a coma for about a month before he woke up which means not a lot of time passed between the outbreak, him waking up and joining up with the others.

Lots of crashes and graveyards on the roads, and wandering zombies would be everywhere along the route. Basically, it's the exact type of area you'd want to stay 100 miles away from in a zombie apocalypse.

It's one of the reasons I had to laugh at one of the characters describing the western states as "they're called fly-over states for a reason." Yes, yes they are. Wide open spaces and low population numbers for their size. Basically, just where you want to be when you're trying to avoid hordes of walking undead.

Heading east (needing to go near/around/through Atlanta) does indeed seem like a stupid idea.

    Yup that's my thinking.

They would be risking a chance to get to the coast hoping they find a boat to go where? Who is going to sail it? And once they reach the coast it's a dead end if they can't sail away.

Well IIRC Lori was kind of "one-dimensionally annoying" in the comic book as well.

I realize as a mother she's worried about Carl and she probably has a right to be shocked by some things like learning that Carl put zombie-Shane down. But seriously she does need to get over this idea that he's -just- a little kid or that he can still somehow be kept "innocent" in this post-ZA world. Her inability to accept that Carl seems to be reasonably mature enough to handle most of what's going on has gotten incredible old and almost borderline insane at this point. I'm not suggesting that Carl should be considered a "man" now, but he's certainly not a baby anymore either.
I think it was more that she just wants to be with the "Top Dog", this way she feels important and "safe". It seems as if she doesn't care about Rick at all, just being the main squeeze of the "leader" so she can have some authority. She purposely pitted the two of them against each other and then got upset when Rick told her he killed him.

I'm glad Andrea and Darryl put her in her place this season. She had the nerve to tell Andrea she should be in the house cooking with the other women but then asked her not to leave to go after Rick because they would need her to protect them... so annoying.

Also finally T-Dog gets more than one line and the dumbest idea comes out of his mouth... go east
  17. They are coming down to remove 2XP I believe.

2XP officially ends 7AM EST today so it's right on schedule.
  18. Dark/Dark Controller from 24 to 50 (Alpha unlocked)
    BR/Rad Corruptor 37 to 50 (Alpha unlocked)

I was also lucky enough to get 6 purples from Friday to Sunday (8 total since Thursday) so it was a pretty good weekend.

That said, I expect that any all-purpose farming character that worked well outside of DA will work well in DA too, as long as you weren't depending on something like having capped fire resist and farming only fire demons.
I have had the opposite experience with thread drops running DA missions of my Elec/SD Brute. I tend to get 3-4 threads per mission where as running trials I sometimes only get 1-2, excluding any thread bonuses.

    The iXP though is sloooooooow.

But to be honest I do not like farming for threads or iXP, the mobs are just too far apart for my liking, even NPCs from the same mob can be spread out on some of these maps.
  21. Don't know if this was mentioned but another idea to improve challenges in missions:

Get rid of or increase the aggro cap...

I have another character who has plans for all 6 ATOs....who has not gotten a Catalyst yet.
That pretty much sums it up for me and my experience/plans. I have a Elec/SD Brute that is very solo friendly with 3 that I have no plans on using them for. On the flip side, I have several support defenders/corruptors that could really use them but has difficulty running normal solo content let alone DA content.
  23. I only have plans on taking my 24 Dark/Dark Controller and 37 BR/Rad Corruptor to 50 since Incarnate XP is not affected this weekend.

I may also roll something new on my second account and take it to at least 32 so I have something mid level to hold me over until Staff Fighting and Beast Mastery come out.
  24. One thing that I can think of off the top of my head to make things more challenging in missions is to stop NPCs from running away far. Let them stand and fight. I can understand if they run a short distance, but there is no reason they should run so far that they disappear from my target.
  25. I got the replacement parts yesterday and put the system together. I bench tested it and got the same results. I didn't want to believe that I had so much bad luck that the replacements were no good either so I decided to try the CPU with the stock fan instead of the EVGA Supercooler. Lo and behold the system powered on and booted up fine.

So all this time it was the cooler, I returned it for a refund. Right now the CPU is running about 47 degrees Celsius when playing CoH. I will see how it runs over the next few weeks and decide whether or not to buy another heat sink and fan.

At least I will have my two machines for double XP weekend!

Thanks again all for your help!
