  1. Why don't I PvP? My characters play completely differently in PvP than what I am accustomed to in PvE. Not just that I am no longer a whirling death machine, but all my stats are reduced, I have no status protection, my controls are massively reduced in effectiveness, and my powers do damage based on some formula I don't understand. Add to that the constant feeling of swimming through glue because I get my travel powers partially or completely negated any time someone so much as farts at me, and it makes PvP a tiresome prospect.

I think I am the target player of the i13 revamp, in that I was not a PvPer before i13. However, the changes made it so I will never PvP, because when I enter a PvP zone I might as well be in a completely different game on a completely different character.

All of this talk about just "make a team or its your fault" completely misses the point of what people are talking about. This isn't something anyone needs to feel guilty over.
Teaming is quick and easy, but sometimes you have to be the leader. If a player is not willing to do that now and again (or like some of us, every time you log in), then that player doesn't have a leg to stand on as far as complaints about teaming go. I don't think people should feel guilty about not being willing to lead a team. They just shouldn't expect to get a team as quickly and easily as the player willing to lead one.

It's more like showing up at a nightclub full of people, all of them saying "Someone ask me to dance! Someone ask me to dance!" and then refusing to ask anyone to dance. People unwilling to form their own teams don't have a legitimate complaint if they can't find a team.

I will never understand why so many people are so willing to shout "LFT" but utterly unwilling to shout "Forming team". The former most often gets nothing, and the latter never fails. I just shake my head when I see three or four people in the same zone shouting "LFT", because all it will take is one of them to invite the others and set a mission, and BAM, instant teaming. But no, they all feel they shouldn't have to lead, the game and the other players owe them a team with no effort on their part other than shouting "LFT" and accepting an invite.
  3. I've never had a problem teaming on redside. Seems there's almost always something forming in a global channel. If there isn't something forming, or if I'm not interested in what is forming, I form my own team for SFs or newspaper missions or whatever.

The player willing to form their own team will never go teamless. The player unwilling to form their own team deserves to go teamless. No player is owed a team, and if a player is unwilling to form one, that player doesn't get to whine about not having one.
  4. I'm very glad you are back. Lots of good changes in the game, and more to come.

It's not just you who sees this. I often notice that my Beam Rifle blaster seems to apply damage later than expected, if that makes any sense. Still love it to bits.

I have found that playing Beam Rifle seems to attract the attention of that "helpful" sort who wants you to know how much better other sets are in comparison. It's kinda "stop liking what I don't like!" if you know what I mean. I see that happens even in threads, people gotta tell you how much better their pet blast set is than the one you chose to play. I get that numbers-wise, maybe Archery is better, but then I have to dance around like a prat with a bow shooting sticks at people and no amount of OPness is worth that.

  7. Another week of crap? What a surprise.
  8. Just rolled up a Beam/Energy blaster, absolutely loving it. Level 27 and rising fast, plenty of pew pew.
  9. Oh look, it's this thread again.
  10. This experiment of yours doesn't seem to be working so well, considering I just sold a **** ton of luck charms for a hundred grand each.

I put them up for 6 inf.
  11. I've got some stupid problem with the auction house and it's been going on for days. When I put stuff up for sale, it lists it at the correct total price but sets the price per item at 0. What I mean by this is that if I put ten widgets up for 6 inf each, the Selling tab shows ten widgets, listed for 60 inf(0 each) and they never sell. I've had some of these items up for days and they don't correct. I've tried pulling them down and relisting, selling them singly, zoning, and relogging, but still no luck.

A picture is worth a thousand words, as they say:

Those items were listed for a couple days and sat like that. After I took the screenshot I relisted them with no change. Any ideas?
  12. Seems like the nonsensical addition of a scorpion tail is a bigger problem than the too-small scale, although I too would like to see properly sized big cats. Even without the scorpion tail the liger pet doesn't look like any liger I've ever seen, but I've only seen pics on the internet.
  13. Join some global channels, man! Also welcome back!
  14. I am not angry and I do not believe the devs are engaging in anything malicious. I do understand the reasoning behind using the four leg model so much; it is shiny and new and it reportedly took a lot of resources to make. Let's hope that as time passes the shiny wears off and people in charge of these things stop thinking of terms of "gotta recoup that cost RIGHT NAO" so we can get back to other themes and not have people rolling their eyes at yet another badly skinned and poorly scaled quadruped.

You know, I would pay good money for a COMBAT pet similar to the german shepherd. Even if it was like -3 to my effective level, it would be pretty cool to have Rufus out there chewing up runners.

Yeah, this is a pretty good question.

I really wish pets were not implemented as toggles, and I really, really wish that you could have multiple out at once. Why can my german shepherd not frolic and cavort with my MVAS? Besides that one would pee on the other, I mean.
  16. I'm fine with vanity pets but it sure would be nice to have more diverse offerings. Also why the hell does the liger have a scorpion tail? Is it supposed to be a chimera? I'm not going to purchase a dwarf lion or a badly-modeled mythical creature.

  18. I gave up on filing bug reports for text errors when I realized they were completely ignored.

Back in a bit, I have to go diffuse a bomb next to an eminator. Just like a year ago.

edit: If they're not ignored, they might as well be. There will always be something higher priority to fix than text errors, so why bother continuing to report them?

    StJ/DA

I got one of these, in the scrapper flavour. That slurping sound you are gonna hear is your end bar bottoming out until you get some decent IOs. Still fun though and DA is tough once you get built up. Get the ToE proc in Dark Regeneration as soon as possible. Like, don't even roll that character up until you have the IO in the mail waiting for it to be claimed. The difference between DA with and without that IO is like night and day.

I would say that 90% of the decisions that Paragon makes regarding the store baffle me. From the UI, to the pricing, to the limited time sales of ATOs, it's nonsense.

That would make sense. The OP is hard to parse.
  23. I'm curious about why you'd want to do this. Is there some disadvantage to +5 IOs?

No, we're complaining about CS because it's awful and inconsistent. The fact that it's terrible elsewhere doesn't make it less terrible here.
