    So yeh.. who knows
Yep, I came to mention the same thing.
It seems as though they are coming... not sure when, but... there was good indication that we should have a quiver (likely) some time before the Post Apoc costume pack comes out (which will apparently include a golf bag quiver).

The sooner the better... My Archer has been leaving that back slot available for the day we finally get a quiver. I've been tempted a few times to go with something else, but sort of just leave it open, almost in protest, haha... or maybe just in hope...

For now, I don't think there was an official thread announcing it, but they announced it on their live video stream on twitchtv.com on July 18th.
In case you're interested in watching any or all of that: http://www.twitch.tv/paragonstudios/b/325355186

There might be a few replies in the dev tracker to us talking and cheering about it, but nothing announced in text... but it is definitely happening!

Batman does not have any measure of super-human powers. However, it is true that with enough time, he can counter just about anyone. If he DIDN'T have time, sure he can improvise, but if Q or the Beyonder or the Data Overmind/Integration Thought Entity wished it, Batman would simply just cease to exist.
Definitely not by who can beat or defeat who... The greatest power is not destruction.
Some of the beings mentioned can return and/or create life and manipulate any aspect of reality.
If someone can defeat that entity... would that make them more powerful? I don't really think so, but, regardless... if I am writing it, Batman won't be defeating Q, hehe.
And I doubt Death and similar entities could simply kill beings like Q, the Douwd, gods, or Squirrel Girl, so...
  5. I loved the end - from the moment of realizing he was going to fly the bomb away and sacrifice himself through the funeral and to the reveal and very end. Not just zero problems with it, but I loved that.
I was fully ready to believe that he would die and did die (while, of course, I remained suspicious and even hopeful) and then I loved the way in which they revealed that the autopilot was fixed and that he'd done it himself.
I thought that was perfect (and that was the only trick that got me in this film... as I was silently bemoaning the obvious foreshadow of the lack of autopilot's significance... but that was turned into pleasure as I realized that they'd successfully set me up).

I enjoyed the movie overall. I can't say that I found the whole thing to be great, but how many movies end up being great...
And the reasons why I feel less enthused about it are mostly because of a few times throughout the earlier stages where I felt tripped up by things I found to be questionable. Just little things, but they knocked me out of buying what the movie was selling, as I had to say "well, okay, I guess... whatever!" and carried on.
Mainly Blake knowing so surely that Wayne was Batman. It was just a bit too much to ask, for me. I mean... I can live with it being obvious that Wayne is Batman... if it was obvious to everyone.
I entirely understand how they were selling it and I liked the element of this orphan recognizing it in Wayne, but it just wasn't executed in a way that I bought it as it happened. I blame time constraints and/or decisions to focus on other things over making that aspect an easier sell.

There were a few other little things that had me feeling similarly... I can only remember a few times where characters knew where other characters were and it just seemed jarring and a bit too fortuitous... but a quick "Eh, low-grade comicbook factor" which honestly has been present in the other movies as well, so not a huge deal... just things that knocked me out of it here and there.

However, by the later portions of the movie, I was fully into it and enjoying it and wasn't holding those things against it. So, that's good.

A few more of my own personal thoughts and feelings during the movie:
I had no idea that it would be 8 years later, so that was a large surprise and starting off with Bruce Wayne as a shut-in, using a cane and no longer Batman was a powerfully emotional start for me.
I think this is also how I became a little bit disappointed early on...
That set me up for really looking to experience the gravitas of that scenario, but I felt like the handling of transitioning out of that and - perhaps, more importantly - some of the sketchy and less believable specifics that occurred during that transition, just didn't carry the weight that I felt such a bold starting point could deliver on and, possibly, deserved.
It probably set me up to be disappointed, because I was expected a much more in-depth drama based around all of that and I didn't feel like it delivered it successfully.
Still, the initial emotional hit was good. So, it still amounted to a positive for my feedback.

At one point, later on, I did find myself thinking, "Hmmm... I'm not disliking this, exactly, but I suppose I'd prefer to see Batman doing stuff rather than see Blake running around doing stuff".
I like the premise and the angle they were going for and the arc of setting up an heir to the mantle... So, I'm not knocking that. I just simply found myself slipping out of my enjoyment and realizing that I probably would like a bit more Batman with my Batman, hehe...
However, by the end of the film, I no longer felt that way. So, this was a temporary feeling during the journey.

All in all, I guess I just fell out of the ride a few times, but still very much enjoyed the end results.

I definitely feel like it was a wonderful arc over the entire trilogy. Watching Batman Begins, for the first time in a while, a few days beforehand really had me appreciating and enjoying the first movie more than I may have previously (as a stand alone movie). I guess I hadn't watched it fully since I'd seen The Dark Knight. So, that's always nice when sequels help make earlier episodes seem better (I found that a lot with the Harry Potter movies, actually).

About the entire trilogy... What a friggin' cast.
Before these movies, I held Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Michael Cane and Morgan Freeman as some of the greatest film actors today and of all time. Cane and Freeman don't need much further mention (nor should the other two, but...) Oldman's ability to completely disappear or explode based on whatever character he is playing is phenomenal. He is a true actor of the best kind.
Bale has impressed me in every single thing I have seen him in. American Psycho, The Machinist, Batman, The Fighter (to name a few)... His intensity and commitment is unrivaled and it does so much for every film he is in. And if you've ever seen Empire Of The Sun, you see a child that has an uncanny and amazing talent that reminds me of the young Tatum O'Neal.

Anyway, haha, I got caught up there... It just blows my mind when I think of those greats being such a big part in these three Batman movies. And I think their contributions are no small thing towards how enjoyable these movies have been. Obviously Liam Neeson and Heath Ledger are fantastic actors that also gave such great depth to the films they were in.

And, yes, Anne Hathaway did a great job. I love me some Julie Newmar and Michelle Pfeiffer (and I'll take either of those over Nolan's Catwoman), but that is NO knock against Miss Hathaway. She was great and I enjoyed her in Nolan's toned down take for this series (which totally works).

I think that is quite enough rambling from me...
  6. Oh, also... I recommend playing around with the lighting options. The high, medium and low lighting options can be messed around with (both color and intensity) to create some great differences with what you can accomplish and can also make some items look rather different than they do under normal lighting.

I just feel like, for what I think you're imagining, that might play a large role!
  7. Hmmm... That style is very intriguing... Not an old style castle, but a glimmering otherworldly palace, of sorts.

That is a challenge... but a very cool one. I'm not sure what I would try and use for the walls and such, but I bet it is do-able.
And I want to see the results!
If I think of anything, I will definitely let you know!

When was the last time you visited the Rogue Universe? I don't think anything I did in there will be of help, but you never know.

My first response is, yes I understood the reference and it was misplaced and an obnoxious argument to start.
No one was whining about wanting stuff that they can't get or shouldn't have.
Most of the people here are people that HAVE all of this stuff and have said that they'd love to see that stuff open for anyone who wants it.

So, then you take THAT obnoxious stance and say that Sam's (and anyone else's) insistence that these items should be available to all proves YOUR point... LOL... So, you are exactly saying that Sam's opinion (and mine and almost everyone else that has posted in here) is a RESULT of being a whiny, greedy, coddled Generation Y'er.

Again, I think we're in agreement overall about availability of items on the Paragon Market.
That's simply not true. It may be your opinion, but it is not a fact.
First off, exclusives do not necessarily remain permanent. More importantly, to me, Collector's Editions are generally more about the physical swank - the box, the book(s), the statues, maps, DVDs, and whatever else they throw in.
The fact that they continued to sell the in-game rewards on their own, for a while afterward, could be evidence against your claims that these things should never be attainable through other means. They already have been.

Regardless, it is just opinion. You claim you'd be upset. You claim some others would be upset. And there are plenty of posters in here that HAVE the exact same stuff that you're talking about stating that we'd be 100% perfectly fine with making that same stuff available to new customers.
I have the collector's edition. I would not see it as any breach of trust (nor contract) if they sold (or even GAVE AWAY) the rewards that I got from that, however long ago.

There is certainly no lock-solid RIGHT (legal or moral) way for the business to go about it. It's just opinions. In this tiny sample so far, you seem to be the only one that'd be against opening those items up (I know you're not the ONLY one in all of the playerbase, of course).

Personally, the fewer our "status symbols" became, the happier I'll be. Uniqueness should come from what a player has created, not what a player has bought, hence why I'd rather let everyone buy everything.

Seriously, Tenzhi, you hit it on the head with how I see people that cling to exclusivity and demean those speaking for opening those things up as whiners with entitlement issues. They've got the lens the wrong way around...
And it seems like most of us stating favor for opening these sorts of items up for purchase are those of us who actually have all of this stuff.
I'd be happy if everyone could get my cape of the four winds, my prestige slide, my Arachnos cape and symbol, my wisps aura, my dark aura, my facepalm emote... Go ahead, buy yourself my loyalty rewards... I don't mind one bit. Please, have whatever fun you wish.
The less we cater to people who don't like this, the better this community will continue to be. That's my opinion about that, at least.

It made me feel kind of guilty, I had something in the game that they'd never get to use, and they simply weren't playing at the time they could have gotten it (RL issues).

I very much want them to put it up for sale.
    Yep, yep, yep and yep!
I really hate informing people of that.
"Sorry, you can't get that..." BAH!
I have a longtime friend who finally decided to start playing the game. I hate it when he asks about something that is locked away (right now).

Exclusivity is for all the not nice communities of other games. We, here... we want everyone to have the options they want to have!

I'm liking the potential versatility that I think I'm seeing with these parts (even though they'll be dirty, which is understandable... some of the options should still have some good versatility).

(separate from this pack) I am excited about the hinted possibility of getting a quiver... my archer vigilante DarkRanger has been leaving that back option open for that day to come...

Anyway... liking this pack so far!! I know you said NO clean versions, but I could see making ONE exception with the hockey mask (maybe a clean-ish, possibly metallic version).

  20. All I needed to know is what happened and who is and who isn't alright, as a result.
I have zero need for information about the killer, currently. I understand how some people get caught up in it (and I do believe in learning from such things, but not through the media and leaking of information, like a continued play by play of these happenings).

I haven't watched or listened to a single moment of "news" since, and I don't plan to. I truly hope it isn't the case, but I'm sure it's nonstop coverage and updates... and it makes me sick when everyone gets so caught up in giving the attention so insidiously obtained.

Just saying this in case it helps to break anyone free from the strangle hold that the death and fear circus will happily keep you preoccupied with in-between commercials.

    Peace and love to everyone.

On the subject of the movies and all... Yeah, this really hits me hard as well. I mean, it really wouldn't make it any less terrible if it happened in a retail store or a sidewalk or ANYWHERE... but something about it being in a movie theatre, during a movie... I imagine it is somewhat akin to how some people would feel if it were a place of worship.

Especially a midnight show. Those have always been the very best and my most favorite movie outings.
This one incident should never have any lasting effects on such activities... besides maybe optimal security on the exit doors... Maybe some sort of sensors to indicate if a door is open or not.

I am finding it a bit difficult feeling like I'll be able to let myself go for the duration of the movie 100%, as I like to enjoy my movie experiences.
Honestly, I normally hate being around a theatre full of strangers to watch a movie (with special midnight premieres usually being the exception, due to the above average level of fandom of those patrons). You never know who will talk, who'll be annoying and so on... So, that's always a mental obstacle for me (I have a nice home theatre of my own... with no annoyances!).
Anyway... I honestly fear more-so some idiots either cracking distasteful jokes OR even doing something in memoriam of this horrible tragedy (which would be equally immersion-breaking).

Just my selfish thoughts for the moment... I'm an immersion freak that can have it broken by minor annoyances of the general public...
And then I think about what it would have been like to be in that theatre and that is a devastating thought.

Alright, that's all my rambling about this now... I only post it to vent it out and in case anyone else reading finds anything of value (out of shared feelings/thoughts) in it.

  21. I want to say, "I HATE PEOPLE", but, if that were true, I wouldn't be so upset by what happened...

Poor attempt for humor: I mean, why did Chaz have to survive...
(Hope that made someone chuckle... I'm at a loss)

Seriously though, that is insane (obviously the whole situation is insane, but for it to be your local theatre and to have opted out of the midnight show like that... don't beat yourself up thinking about the possibilities. It's just crazy and you can find no logic, reason, answers to all the questions that race through your head from such a thing).
If anything, just take part in anything you might be able to do for the community, whether it is through your job or by some sort of support you can give.
Sorry, only just heard about this and am rather disturbed and not sure my words are coming out well...

Much love to everyone (that's not a vile, gutless puke).

    Correct, Tenzhi, and agreed.
I really hope they do add those emotes as proper flight customization options some day.
I do actually use the emotes as they are, but the way they work makes it clunky and a bit more limited than I'd like (I use a key bind for mine).
I've even experimented with binding the fly emote to my forward movement key (w), but it's still not really too great.

I wasn't around back then, but I've always been curious about the banking that people said characters used to do while flying. Maybe, possibly, hopefully that could return if/when they ever make the different poses full on flight customization options.

All this said... super happy we're getting the options we are getting in Issue 24!

Right on, Zwill. Best of luck!
I completely understand that last week's approach is not sustainable.
The only thing that I would ask is to pick and choose prizes that aren't going to cause the angst of last week and/or to make sure the exclusivity is not a paramount aspect.
Something that we can get otherwise, but these winners would get for free seems like a fair compromise and should still generate the buzz. There may be other ways as well, but I just figured I'd mention... If you're going to use this method, please do keep in mind the objections to exclusive costume stuff.

I know everyone may have their own different most extreme super important content, but it just seems wrong to hold back juicy costume options for current and future character creators.

I can't expect you to follow my suggestions, but I can only mention/ask.
