Quote:That's because most Western depictions of introverts are shy, withdrawn individuals that want nothing to do with people. I actually enjoy dealing with people, but doing so isn't relaxing or refreshing; it's tiring. If I did nothing but interact with people all day, I'd collapse (mentally, which makes people grumpy and waspish, as some of my comments became further down the line).Edit: Five six posts. Wow, your the most talkative introvert I've ever heard of outside of a manga.
I'm sure most people can at least conceptualise the idea of a daily workout (even if they don't do one themselves); you do it, you feel good after doing it, and you know you get something out of it, but if you did nothing but exercise all day, every day, you would be unable to function. Introverts can exercise as well as anyone else, but like everyone else, we need a rest from it. Most introverts probably save their energy for work and other real-life applications; my work has me sitting at a desk waiting for phone calls and dealing with people as they come in, and I have (sporadically allocated) free time during that time to do other things. I choose to post on forums, sort of how a marathon runner might jog in place to keep themselves loose and warmed-up for the real race.
You probably know introverts that are the same in your life - you just don't realise they're introverts (many of us have gotten very good at hiding in plain sight, because there is a stigma against introversion, as your comments so clearly show.) -

Quote:If you're asking my opinion, I say everyone can doom any time they want for whatever reason, but I'm not the OP.Fair enough. So does that mean base builders can't cry doom yet while PVPers can or should we all just shut up and be happy for what we've got?
(I still wish we could at least get some decorative items...) -
Quote:A dabbling builder myself, I wouldn't say PvP and Bases are in the same exact boat, except inasmuch as i13 changed everything. But whereas i13 seems to have been a huge detriment to the PvP community, it was a huge boon to Base Building. Removal of the raid pathing checks and ease of stacking unlocked unparalleled base options - a sort of Renaissance. What about the base building community? can we still cry doom? maybe PVPers too, i guess they're kind of in a similar boat as the base building crowd.
Now, true, both have lingered without update or modification since then, but while i13 acted as a sort of coup de grace to PvP, I'd argue it was probably the biggest boon that ever hit base building. So PvP is lingering on a festering wound, while Bases are lingering of a well-fertilised field. It's not quite the same thing. -
As has been mentioned, I suspect one of those servers you tried wasn't Virtue, because I don't really see the problems you mentioned when I play (which is exclusively on Virtue). So give that a shot.

It's not because the first part has TFs. It's because the only thing they'll talk about coming up are "Trials", which, by game parlance, are just different TFs.

Quote:I just remembered that the assault on Neuron's Tower in the Warden arc wasn't a solo mission, which has largely devalued my assessment.I was generally pretty disappointed by the solo missions in GR.
It could still be run solo, though, and was awesome (as was the defuse the bomb plot at the end of Responsibility, and the showdown with the clone at the end of Power. Crusader was meh.) -

I dunno, is it any more of a disconnect than sending any big bruiser of any other origin to work with any of the other origin branches? Big bruisers don't really mesh with the Hero ideal written by those arcs to begin with.

I've run it twice since unlocking Incarnates and I haven't noticed the Silos missions giving any more shards than other missions. The difference between minions/lieutenants and bosses is much larger than the difference between bosses and elite bosses.

The drugs are the result of exploding lab experiments, so I don't see how those that derive power from them wouldn't be Science. Makes perfect sense to me.

Quote:Sorry, you're wrong. If all humans have super strength on Spectron 9, a super strength human on Spectron 9 is Natural. There was no experiment or accident that caused the human to have super strength - the human has super strength simply because that's how humans work on Spectron 9.Kryptonians only have powers when exposed to cosmic rays from a yellow sun. On their home planet under normal conditions they have no special abilities. Parallel: All humans gain super strength and invulnerability when exposed to the radioactive gas of the planet Spectron 9. Therefore, it's natural for humans to have superhuman strength (that makes sense right?). Sounds sciency to me.
Now, if you're talking about a human on Earth who has super strength because of some exposure due to Spectron 9, that's another issue. Could be Technology (a pressure suit or breather with the gas of Spectron 9), Science (some experiment making the exposure to Spectron 9's gas permanent), possibly even Mutation (child of a human and a Spectronian who has mutated the Spectronian gas as part of her human physiology) or Magic (an artefact that exudes the gas of Spectron 9 or an incantation that engulfs the caster in the gas and empowers them for a time.)
You are right that people are perfectly free to have the wrong or multiple origins, though. -

Quote:If they said this in the beta, and if they're still committed to it, then they can come and have someone with a red name post, explicitly, that it is the intention of the development team to ensure that there is a solo path to all incarnate abilities henceforth. As much as I respect your information and that you're often all-but a red name on these things, this is one topic where I really do need to hear it from the horse's mouth. Its worth noting that in I18 beta, there wasn't originally an obvious soloable path to fully pursuing Alpha. This was considered a failing of the system by the beta testers and the devs acknowledged this, adding the shard system to address that point and stating directly that it was their intent moving forward to have a solo option to Incarnates of some kind.
Right now, we know that the Alpha Slot can be soloed. We do not know that the rest of the Incarnate slots can be soloed. If the devs have a definitive answer on this already, they need to give it to us. -

Quote:I have a bunny girl, but I don't think she needs a bunny head to be complete. Her concept actually is built around the idea of a controlling ex-boyfriend that wanted a "Playboy Bunny"-type girl.I get the feeling all y'all hate rabbits... I mean, am I the only one vying for rabbit parts?
I wouldn't object to a rabbit head, however. And she could probably use some better ears.
It comes from CoH's official Facebook page, so the likelihood of it being a 'shop is slim. It's probably genuine. -

Dominators should do more damage, barring the right set of debuffs from the Corruptor's secondaries (-res debuffs plus Scourge probably put the Corruptor on top).
A general rule of thumb is, however, "any villain AT will be able to do ample damage."
