So here is my question to you, and those of you who skipped to the end, start reading now: Do you need your games to provide a "complete" experience with trivia, background, secrets and lore, or are you more interested in playing a fun game and following an engaging, but not necessarily plot-heavy story?
For a game in which you can actually create the main character [which is finally becoming more and more popular with newer games and not just MMOs] it is almost essential to me. I have always been a fan of the underdog story [or someone rising from the street to become the main man as such] and by having a large background of information i can create his own story as such [even if it is purely in my head].
I like the little touches and the feeling of an actual world/universe within a game. If you dont know WHATS going to happen in the game, then it can keep you guessing as to what is actually going to happen. Alan wake is a prime example of a way in which the little information isnt needed but if you use it/find it, then its a great help and explains the world a lot better. -

Hey if im going to be more powerfull than the main characters, then i want to be the one on the loading screen when i load up the game !
Good read and looking forward to playing it on numerous different characters. The one part that did catch my eye was the part where it says it drains the powers of non incarnates. Possible hint at power supression castle hinted at a year or so ago? If so, good way to make it happen imo Unless the taskforce doesnt let you start it unless your all incarnates . . . .

I would love for a way to see the percentage of players in each country [plus states in the US though again, to me a state is just a small country part of a bigger country].

Could you also define what you say is a local time? Should a player playing in the UK be teaming with somebody in eastern Europe who are a few hours ahead?
I've got a low level NA account but i want to team with certain NA [server] players so badly on my proper characters

Hello there Aleph_EU, there are people still playing in Praetoria at the moment yes and expect a very large increase in new Praetorians once i19 and inherit fitness comes out
I know of quite a few people who are holding off making new characters [or have planned new characters] due to the fitness change and alternative animations.
I can only speak for union since out of the two servers im 90% union and 10% defiant, but if you do join union to test it out i strongly urge you to join the main channels to make teaming easier.

I hate those small paths before you get to the portal! The amount of times i've turned around on myself due to fighting enemies and end up back at the start is already in to double figures!

Just had a thought, the first major pack was the wedding pack correct? Remember them saying they were able to bring content forward because of enough people purchasing it. Is that still the case devs/mods regarding how well boosters do?

As a customer, it's not my responsibility to care about a company's financial woes. I know how bad the economy is. That's why it's very annoying constantly being asked for more money, especially for stuff that is overpriced (Party Pack) and that they had no business charging extra for (Open Present emote, GR Complete Items).
Really though you have to look at the larger picture at just how much free stuff we have gotten when you compare it to other MMOs [none as "mature" as this one] that dont even get half the free updates that we do. I know a certain other MMO that tries to charge you roughly the same amount for a costume SET, thats a set not a booster with a whole load of items in them.
As long as they keep the boosters as just nice little extras then its fine by me. Some people will like them more than others but thats ok, not at any disadvantage by not buying them
