  1. Mentioned this ealier on the MA channel but it seems the mender silos taskforce [still my favoured form of inf gaining] has had a few minor changes.

    Just small touches to the npc dialog (which are now better so woo!) but changes non the less.

    Anybody else found any hidden changes to issue 14 which werent announced?
  2. On a MA arc i was running i got to the third mission where you have to rescue a hostage. Seemed like a normal rescue mission 2bh, i was sk'in up a low level showing him the ropes as such at the high levels.

    Anyway everything was going smoothly when we got to the hostage, hostage fight was simple enough but as soon as we rescued him and turned around, what do we see? . . . .

    MISSILES coming at us from the other side of the map!!! Was an ambush of malta zeus titans and they can fire from a LONG range away! Made both me and the new player go [censored]?!??!?! and leg it before both dying. I was just laughing nonstop for a good 10 minutes from just turning around and seeing missiles coming towards us and not knowing who fired them.

    But control is only a small arsenal of the controllers pvp input. A good pvp controller will know that they will not out damage/out survive their enemy.

    Their strength is that they make the opposition defeat themself. Now i only have pvp experience with 2 of my controllers, an ill/rad/fire and a mind/ta and the basic principle is always the same . . . . . . Make them come to you.

    Can a blaster still bunnyhop with glue arrow on it? [Which is then followed by the quick assault resulting in blasters death]

    Can a willpower tank really survive an ill/rad/fires onslaught with lingering radiation on it?

    The point being is that a good controller will NEVER really rely on holds/immobs to pvp. Its just impossible to expect to win against a skilled enemy then.

    Know i dont pvp with you lot (as its more of a now and then thing for me) but i do consider myself skilled in the controller pvper aspect and get a bit whenever someone says BFs are a controllers worst enemy. When in fact they're our best friend! If a player brings a LOT of breakfrees you know they dont have much else to raise health/to-hit/def/resis/attack which plays right into our hands!

    I'll be quiet now, but that has made me want to play my ta/mind again

    Edit: And before someone says it, its VERY easy to withstand a burst high damage from the start even as a controller, to get your tactics in.

    Are any of them currently in use in another arc/mission of yours? If the problem continues i'ld just do the quick/easy solution of copying the ones you want to another group with the same name.

    Check how much it is to craft a level 30 or level 35 standard IO (when most people start spending their money).

    Secondly check how much people are paying for the enhancement versions.

    First of all create both the glowie and the boss and fill in all the details. Now on the boss, at the top option (iirc) it has the option "this objective appears when . . ", simply open that dropdown box and select your glowie Now when the player clicks the glowie, your boss will spawn.

    Wouldn't that mean that only the mission text is upgraded after the item has been interacted with, but the boss is there before and might be fought against before you interact with the item? And... what would happen if things were completed in the wrong order..?

    Nope not at all

    Basically by selecting the "when glowie objective is completed", the player HAS to click the glowie before the boss even spawns on the map. Once spawned, then the defeat boss text will appear also

    AFAIK you cant, it'll say the form is invalid if you try to do so. (Though you can highlight the text and right click which brings up options such as bold/colour etc)

I tried to give players a fair chance, I added allies to help solo players with really tough enemies, but most of it seems pretty easy for my own character - then again everything's easy for a level 50 with high grade invention sets... I had one Circle of Thorns mage that was a really a pest to fight without "break free"s. It's an "Arch-Mage of Death" and considered a boss, but feels a lot like an elite boss to fight against.

    Custom mobs are indeed much harder than your standard one. This is due to them having the same damage multipliers as us players. The only way to truely find out what powersets are tough/easy is to ask on the forums/look it up or fight your own creations. Just remember to put the difficulty in the description.

    The only way at the moment is to drag the fith mission to the first slot and then drag it back to the end before you publish.

    Only way is to buy/trade them, unfortunately they dont drop in test Much wanted feature for test mode though.

    Thanks for the post, does actually mean a lot to us when someone comments on it.

    However this has happened a few times in the past few weeks with little [30 mins?] or no notice at all. Understand where you are coming from in that it needs to be done globally, just hope you can see it from our perspective

    Some of us (namely me ) can only play either early morning or late afternoons so it cuts into my playtime though i know you look at the bigger picture, i wanna feel special!!!

    At the moment im 6 slotting all my attacks (mainly for sets) and because well i seem to have too many slots Sure im doing SOMETHING wrong but i got a few respecs on him so no biggie.

    Oh you and me both. But if we talk gameplay wise and not marketing at the moment then i hope its at least as good as city of villains but only more shiny. That was the main drawback of going over there for the majority of players wasnt it?

    They now have years of experience/feedback (both positive and a lot of negative) of both their games of what we liked/didnt like so at the moment my faith in this product is very high. It would have to take something major to mess this update up though if we're honest.

    Thoguh i agree it is defo one of those things that could either cement this game as THE superhero game or just keep it afloat.

    Positron has stated a graphics update is coming in a couple of interviews, they've even hired a few more staff to handle it over the past year so we know it was coming and this would seem the perfect chance to implement it. It needs vibrancy and excitement - new power sets (surely not just 2?) and something else to set it apart from City of Heroes and City of Villains. It needs to be able to stand alone and my instinct tells me that's what will happen - but if it's a box with one new zone and two power sets and access to Atlas Park or Port Oakes at level 5 a few people might be disappointed.

    Personally im hoping you get to start off as a member of the praetorians in the boxed set. Though if you did, what heading would you come under? They arent exactly good or evil are they? Just our world flipped over. A new "world" is expected from me now though too, would also explain why we've been so light on content these last few issues. Ahhhhhhhh im excited!
