  1. Well... So far I'm a bit unhappy that they didn't answer the "limits" of his power. They just tested against stationary objects and the distance. Doing other tests are important due to it could potentially be useful in creating things like a wall around yourself where anything got close to you got moved 3 inches in a different direction... They also didn't see if he could move in multiple direction or turn things... only forward backward distance on stationary.

Makes you wonder what else they do when they think there's no people around.
They talk... and they play video games... and they create new technology.

In fact, the biggest threat is from sunlight, since you don't have the Earth's atmosphere to protect you.
Sorta... You actually boil to death. I don't remember the exact reason but it has to do with pressure and oxygen and your blood along with the pressurization. It's one of the reason that NASA tests for lung capacity... because someone with large lung capacity can last longer in emergencies than those with lower.

You also pass out and get a drunk effect if you can maintain consciousness for that long...

The reason you don't freeze to death like people think is that there is nothing out in space so your body heat radiates out and then pretty much just sits there as long as you don't move... So the heat around you is a comfortable room temperature ^.^

The reason the Doctor needed the suit was not for surviving space but surviving smashing into the Earth which is made clear by when he says that he's not able to take the suit off cuz it's not done fixing him... which also means that it prevented the regeneration from taking place which means there could be some sort of magical mechanism with the suit or regeneration that allows it to say when it is needed which is kinda interesting to think of because it means a number of regenerations didn't actually have to happen... he could have just found the way to fix himself and cancel the regeneration process...

either that or this is gonna be one of the shorter doctor runs...

Heath came much closer to the Cesar Romero Joker than the comic book or cartoon Jokers. He was much less flamboyant too.

And that same approach seems to be what Nolan is taking with Bane and Catwoman. Making them real people just wearing slightly odd clothing. I'm pretty sure Catwoman will have the acrobatic abilities of a cheerleader and Bane will have the strength of a bodybuilder but nothing more.
Catwoman is a Catburgler who dresses like a Cat because she loved the idea of the Bat thing. She also loves cats and she became a thief because it was fun and a way to provide a good life for some people.

Bane is an illegitimate son of a English gentlemen who took part in a war on a spanish island. The island has a child must pay for the crimes of the parent if the parent is dead law resulting in him living in jail for his whole... various events left him in solitary confinement and he just happened to have idetic memory and the two lead to him reading a lot. Eventually he volunteered for an experiment and that is were he was introduced to Bane. Bane is a drug that enhances the users strength, and muscle mass, as well as promotes anger.

There is nothing out of the normal about those two (we could literally make Bane if we wanted to in real life). Catwoman's costume is not out of line or unrealistic. The whole point of her costume isn't practicality, but motif. She doesn't need to be nor should she be wearing a practical outfit.

As far as Bane's costume goes... Are you really telling me you couldn't think of a reason for him to dress like a Luchador? He's got a spanish heritage, sees Batman, doesn't care about cultural norms... yup couldn't possibly realistically be done.

The only reason it was even remotely ok what he did to Ra's is because we can just pretend that that is a brainwashed Ducard or just none of his secrets revealed so he still could be. The only character that I can think of off the top of my head that is a high profile rogue that wouldn't work realistically is Freeze... The rest is Nolan and the writers being dumb and not understanding reality.

Of course if it does bad... Hollywood will kill a lot of Superhero projects...after all if Nolan can't deliver a Batman film then no other Superhero projects will.

I don't draw much at all anymore because there is nowhere around to draw. My materials are quickly destroyed or lost when i get them, and i lost a lot of love for it after majoring in animation for a year.

I have no problem with his aesthetic choices in the last 2 movies. I thought the changes that i knew about were fine and paid respect to and represented the comics characters properly. That came through before I ever saw the movies. I was also one of the people that said that Heath would do a good job and that the whole omg we love heath turn around after he died ticked me off because it was and is so fake.

Before I knew who Nolan was or seen the movies, the trailers had me because it looked right and wasn't changed so much that if you removed the batman costume you could still recognize it as a Batman movie...

This on the other hand doesnt in any way look like a Batman movie, let alone a comic movie and the trailer just looks like a bad cheesy 90s sci-fi trailer. Id bet i could find a trailer from the 90s that looked almost exactly like that if i cared to look
  13. It's a bit more complex than yes or no...

The answer is that the Ring can produce any substance (just tinted green) for various lengths of time...some constructs are preprogramed to hold, but most have limited distance away from the creator or for a given time.

So you could eat and metabolize things made from the power ring as it would be the real product... the problem is that it is a construct that isn't made to hold and most people wouldn't keep concentration of eaten food so... it depends on the GL how digested it gets, but they could do it.

I think a more awkward question is "could a power ring eat a bagel" and im pretty sure the answer is yes yet we've never seen it do it.
  14. *cough* The Gotham Rogues thing was either created out of the writers, directors, whoever lack of knowledge or because Knights in the title and being the name of the team was too much for someone.

If that is true... that is bad writing based on the fact noone would ever say that. And anyone that would needs to be slapped.

More like Superman that needs to recharge from a source he can't walk around with and is not really good with his powers vs Batman without any of the detective work or fighting capability or charm.

Yes, Comic based movies need to learn what comics have forgotten. Every comic is someone's first. Have reminders, but you don't need to retell the damn story.

I think Selina's threat was aimed at Bruce Wayne and not Batman. It seems like Nolan's playing on all the class warfare talk that's going on right now with all of those people invading a wealthy home and ransacking the place. She may be hearing whispers of an uprising of some kind, but with all of the resources at his disposal and another honeypot in Marion Cotillard's character, I don't see her factoring into his plans. I'm thinking she'll be an enemy of Bruce Wayne at first but will become an ally.
This movie takes place several years, I believe 8, after The Dark Knight. Selina should be well known to Bruce and be full Cat Woman, not the costume they have her in. Her dialogue sounds nothing like anything she would say in or out of costume and she doesn't look the role so...yeah.

Because it is. The more I see of the previews the more I'm thinking they jumped the shark. The two previous movies were close enough that you could say, yeah ok that's a good job, but this movie seems to be missing and adding character traits that are just wrong.

Bane doesn't look or sound right. He's not tall enough for the role, He's not built enough for the role, he isn't speaking with a spanish accent, he isn't a brute, he isn't a mastermind either.

Catwoman is has a bigger chest ^.^ She's also more physically imposing. She would never dance like that. She would never speak like that. She would never be involved with a conspiracy like that.

Gordon IS NOT a war hero. He was a marine if I remember right and then left and became a cop in chicago...and then when he got a dirty cop sent to prison he was ostracized until he moved to Gotham where he was considered a trouble maker and still is considered that, even 10 years down the line

Alfred would never say that to Bruce about his parents. He in fact has always said that his parents would be proud, and that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, as it were.

The City doesn't collapse from Bane's interference so the Football game thing while cool in theory shouldn't be there.

Bruce also doesn't seem burnt out which is really the cause of his fall and that started before Bane. I don't see how they are going to do a movie where they have Bruce goes through so much time to get exhausted, while simultaneously introducing other characters to fight that would cause him to fall.

More over, If you took out the 6 seconds where Batman appears on the screen and didn't tell anyone this was a Batman movie or who those characters are supposed to be. No one would know, nor would they think this is a comic book movie. It's screams of crappy early 90s, late 80s, cheap sci-fi and even though it's going to make a lot of money I don't think anyone will walk away going "Yeah, that was a great movie" and sure as hell most comic nerds won't like it probably in the long run because it looks to do so much wrong.

Someone might say that the whole the characters don't look right is unfair... This is based on a comicbook IP that has the one of the most recognizable casts just by looks alone. If I can't flash a picture of a character and have them instantly recognized as that character, or at least be even close, there is something wrong.
  18. Which do you think would win? and Which would you rather be?

Meteor Man has the following powers...
    Flight
    X-ray vision
    Superhuman strength
    Invulnerability
    Healing powers
Absorb a book's content by touch (for a limited amount of time)
    Freezing breath
    Telepathy with dogs
    Telekinesis

These powers must be recharged by way of absorbing the energy from the meteor.

Blankman has no "powers" but he is Super Intelligent, able to invent pretty high tech stuff from garbage, including an advanced (true) AI, a Bomb disposal unit that can handle pretty big explosions, and a chemical that makes any material bulletproof (unpiercable and absorbs a large amount of kinetic energy and apparently disperses it) and fire proof.

you just need to have a montage of the Doctor and Ponds where the background music is "rain drops keep falling on my head"
  20. I'm betting Amy is getting offed. Karen Gillan has said that she wants it so that her end on the show is a closing thing and not how Rose was which she felt made the departure cheap how she kept coming back. So more than likely they're going to either kill er off and Rory won't have reason to come back or Rory will die in such a way that she sees the Doctor's flaws and starts to despise him and says she can't be around him anymore.
  21. I love the fact I have either never heard of these movies/shows and/or don't watch them. Only a few are shows I want to watch and just haven't gotten around to it... Like Big Bang Theory that I haven't seen past season 1.
