I remember playing Island of Kesmai on Compuserve back in 1989 or so... until I got my first bill for more than $200!
Not long after that, I switched to MUDs which were free (well, 99% of them were free). -

As an aside relevant to the thread, if not the above post, Posi also said this:
"Our biggest concern right now is the level 35 to 40 content (for Heroes) and level 40 to 50+ content for both Heroes and Villains."
Ideally, this means I10 touches up 35-50.

I expect 35-45, but would really love it if there were moon missions that could keep my cosmic heros and villains busy from level 35 to 50 and then some.

Yeah. I meant that the new powersets and AT announced for the expansion were nixed for the next few updates, as in we might not see them this year or anytime "soon". -

yeah, reading that there were no new AT;s coming is fine, but what of the powersets Posi spoke of (1 for each AT) for theexpansion box? Since its sprea dout over 2-3 issues, i would expect at least 3-5 new powers added for each issue.

After a small uproar by some of us fans, States and Posi came to the boards to calm us down. The last word was something like "we'll see" about adding a new powerset or two in the next year or so.
Personally, for the past couple of years, I've been looking forward to new things like street fighting for scrappers, pistols for any AT and the long-rumored incarnate AT. Ah, well. -
Don't be dissin' on Toontown. I found it to be kind of fun when I tried it out.

You can also use "target_name".
For example: "target_name Sapper".
I use binds set up for quantums, cysts, sappers and all the named giant monsters.
"target_name gift" also works. -
Yeah. I loved those cartoons as a kid and I never made the connection in CoH despite doing that mission two or three times.

Not in stores today? Too bad. Like a few other folks, I would have bought the DVD if I could have had it today or even this weekend.
Since I work Monday-Friday and don't get as much time to play on those days, if I have to wait until Monday, I might as well wait until Friday and buy the online version.
I have not checked with Wal-Mart in my area, but it doesn't look like I have to, based on what others are reporting. -

Neat ideas. Storing extra missions until later... interesting. Dressers like in The Sims that hold more costume changes... nice idea. Storage... yes (for influence and enhancements. make it easier for me to fund my alts).

It isn't the popularity of bases so much as the fact that our programming & art team did a phenomenal job of allowing players to generate their own lairs. Maybe not enough players have experienced this content to comment on it, though hopefully Posi's changes will help.

I think the problem is that most players don't have much to do with designing the bases. Supergroup leaders or officers do the designing and get to see all the options. It is possible for people to go onto the test server and make their own base, but do many do that?
Maybe you should re-think allowing players to have personal lairs. That would get all your hard work into a lot more hands. -

Some people will complain about anything.
Just think, this is your chance to get a tough build to the level for stamina... to get that character past the high 30s where you run out of missions... to make that final push to 50.... to make a brand new alt and get it to 14 for a travel power.
So many opportunities, but some people see nothing but sour grapes. It's hard to believe. -
Just played my lvl 40 claws/ninja stalker. I like the new animation for strike a lot more than the old one. I have not yet tried swipe, but so far, I like the looks and the faster attack.

Great suggestions. I think this would make a fun zone, but you almost have enough ideas to make several zones.. ie; an expansion.

I was thinking the same thing when I read that quote from Statesman.
But what could a pulp heroes expansion bring us that we don't already have?
The only thing I can think of is travel to exotic lands.
