I have an Illusion / Ff and it's the easiest toon to grab MasterOf badges on... I have posted a build below which gives great endurance, softcapped def and PA up with only 14sec downtime.
I quite like the build, but i'm sure others will comment.. open to feed back too.

Yet local_man's build contains
Decimations
Bask Gaze
Celerity +stealth
and Posi blasts!
Has no def, very little Resistance.
I would prob go with something like this.
Everything here should be fairly cheap, you will get,
127% Recharge
25.8% Defense to all Ranged attacks (Radiation Infection + Smoke will improve this)
182% Regen (but you have a 236 Hp Heal every 2.5sec anyway)
Super Speed + Leaping+ Acrobatics
Total Net End gain without AM or Debuff Toggles = 1.31
Total Net End gain with AM but Without Debuff Toggles = 2.29
Total Net End gain with AM and toggles applied = 1.45
Note these figured are worked out with CJ, SS, Acrobatics, MindOverBody, Hotfeet and Maneuvers also toggled ! ! ! ~ Pretty good if i say so myself.

Personally I think the earth epic is awesome, but Fissures AoE is tiny! so I tend to avoid it.
With the fire epic you get a bigger AoE and a thematic fit.
If you like Fire epic you can easily get to about 30% ranged defense and start your assault with smoke for -to hit, (this also stacks from same caster), this will still grant you about 65% res to S/L along with tough.. your attack chain would be, Smoke, Flashfire, Cages and then run in.
It's personal preference tbh, I use Fire epic on Kawaiii. I just much prefer it to Rock for the damage and the theme, my build is not got any defense on it, but then it's not needed with my style of farming. -

I dont have the patience for low balling things, if i'm going all the way to the market i'm coming home with when I went for :P

ok so lets make this clear, I am not looking for an exploit.
but is there a way for me to up the reward + risk past standard mobs, on x8 +4 ?? -
So does this make Culex's list useless?

yea sorry was getting mixed up with my blaster which I was tinkering with of late.

As it stands this build is soloing s/l mobs on x8 at lvl 53... Bosses are a little trickier but permadom stacking cinders and char soon sorts em out.
With your holds, softcap def and -tohitt from smoke (which can also stack btw) I don't find that I take any where near as much damage as I regen.
Pretty much it is a really fun toon, only thing I would change if I could would be snipe for building domination but I took blaze because it's such a good power on a domi.
But once Dom fires as long as you remember to click hasten within 8-9 secs after it recharges the your permadom so just pop a bf in your initial mob to be safe

At the moment I am using a Fire/Fire domi and the dmg is wow! she clears a map in the same speed as my fire/kin...
The reason to pick /psi over /fire is Drain psyche but tbh that only gives +regen+recov...
Build a /fire for +regen you get the +end from consume and domination.
Get your self soft capped, and enjoy things like Firey Embrace and stupid amounts of damage and don't ever worry about getting killed.
If it is a choice between the 2 you mentioned I would probably say go for Plant/Fire.
Your gonna love Firebreath btw...
Or if you are confident enough in your holding ability try /fire with soul mastery... It's less defensive but Firey Embrace, Soul Drain and Combustion is OUCH!
Oh and this way you also get another +endurance power. -
Ok i took your build and changed the slots only, I assumed that you picked the powers that you picked because it's what you were wanting to use...
You still have softcapped defense to S/L damage, and huge recharge of 178.8% giving you permadom and perma hasten. There are still 5 slots left to place you can do what you like with them, but now you have 2.12 /s Endurance net gain... that 3 times the recovery your initial build had.

Massive drain!
Good recharge but your not going to be able to use the powers for lack of end.
With great recharge comes great need for edurance, and you have 0.7 net gain before you click a power!
And your way way over on S/L def, i'll have a quick play and repost a build, 2 secs pls
ps. You do know that invisibility gives you +def because you are unable to attack when you are using it. -

Want something that everyone agrees can't really be better. -
Ok so I have had a few tanks in my time and I am now turning my attention to making a brute... however i am having issues on mids making one as survivable as I am used to.
So far nothing seems to be as good as it's Tanker counter-part....
(I know this is the way that it's meant to be.)
Any how, I had a bash as an SR build... can anyone better this, advise me, even suggest another set or pair of sets....

Ok so I haven't ever had a Veat before, and I don't want to spent the precious little that I have red side on a gimpy build... can anyone tell me how I should be slotting and playing a night widow ?

My Ma/Regen doesn't have jump nor any of my tanks... web nade helps alot with this and I have jump pack etc if I need it.
Was looking at getting recharge as high as poss for heal, don't think that it should be toooo expensive
few weeks work maybe.
